HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I tried using this build your custom rom via Rom Manager but now I can't do hard resets or data wipes. My market app will not work regardless of what I do. I tried using some other help tips for market issues but zero results. I try opening like my iMobsters and it keeps saying android ID not found=close. I tried using the ODIN files which have worked in the past but no luck. I tried using a stock nandroid image and no luck! Please help! So none of my market files do not work, can't do hard resets or data wipes, my android ID seems to be corrupted and I DO NOT HAVE VOODOO kernels installed. any help folks?!?!?!

Can you be more specific as to what led up to the problem?

Oh man oh man
So, I tried to flash a new ROM to my Legend last night. I got the boot loop problem and everything I tried wouldn't resolve the issue. To cut a long story short I had to factory reset. I got the stock ROM back working again, however, now the market isn't working properly and ADB is also not working as it was previously.
I was going to just flash another ROM, not a big problem as m other setup had become slightly buggy, but I first needed Clockwork MOD. I was unable to download from the market as every download fails saying "Download Unsuccessful". So I found an apk for ROM Manager and tried to install that via ADB. That then fails with "ROM Manager does not contain AndroidManifest.xml"
To get the market working again I've tried a lot of stuff I found via google:
Turn off / on mobile and Wifi networks
Unmount SD card, tuen off phone, take out the SD card, reinsert, and reboot
clear the market cache
Unknown Sources checked
All failed. There is a lot of posts out there saying to "Uninstall Market Updates" but that doesn't seem to be an option when I go to Manage Apps> Market.
Any idea where I go from here?
Cheers!
Edit - Just noticed that in Manage Apps > Google Apps all the buttons (clear cache, defaults etc.) are all greyed out.
I will shortly write a guide for the easiest way to factory reset/unroot your device..

If I flash a new rom using rom manager will the previous one be gone? I want no part of what I have right now if I go to another rom
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA App
it will be gone as far as use but if you want to delete it you'll have to do so manually

Yeah what I mean is I'm running Axura right now and if I went to another rom I don't want that new rom being bugged and looking like auxura will that happen?

Odin back to stock before flashing another rom that's the best way to make sure nothing is left over I always flash fresh from stock and I don't have any problems also if you have voodoo installed make sure you dissable it before anything else cause your going to have a headache trying to remedy that situation
Runnin nero+dow+oclf
odin is not necessary. all the roms for the vibrant wipe system and data, so flashing with clockwork is good enough.
however, undo lagfixes. some cause problems if not disabled, others don't.
Got it! Thanks
I am unable to flash a different rom over Axura??? i have no lag-fixs. When i go through rom manager, it just reboots the system still in axura? Im stumped and would appreciate any help.

You need to flash clockwork recovery from rom manager then do it and on the recovery mode if it doesn't do it auto click reinstall package
i will try that, thankyou very much; however my newest problem is that i cannot put the rom on my phone. when i try to copy from my computer and paste to phone, i get "Cannot copy BionixFinal_R1_Stock: The parameter is incorrect" wft is that!? lol
Umm when you do that do you mount your phone and if you have titanium backup when you go on your computer do you see that titanium backup is there as a folder?
if you put it where titanium backup folder isn't your putting it on te external part and then it wont work.
Besides that it might be your computers problem search that error in Google without the bonix part
So yesterday I decided I was going to play around with the different roms like I do my phone w/ my tablet.. Bad idea. The same usual steps to backing up and restoring are supposed to be the same. maybe not so much.
I decided to try out the new Revolution theme by thor, so i made a backup of where i was at before the wipe and subsequent install. Install went on without any issue, I played with it for a while, decided I wanted to go back to my latest backup. Performed the restore and went to bed.
When I went back to the tablet it had successfully rebooted with all my prior settings in place. Except one thing. Superuser wont work, and I cant download the updater fix in the market. So my rooted device is now unrooted with Taboony 2.1b rom. None of the apps we are all accustomed to using will work without superuser working.
Has anyone experienced this, is there a fix I just havent seen? I have searched and searched and searched. Well versed in google

I just finished getting my tab back in shape after much the same thing. What worked for me was to get into cwm, then clear cache and delvic cache. Re-installed the rom (ezterry's rooted stock in my case) and I am good to go. I did not clear data. Hope that this helps.

With reflash of rom you will have root again, but do a full backup of your rom using cwm and then restore your backup and you will once again be left without root.
The fix I got was, i got into cwm and flashed the new mix rom and viola, everything works as it should lol

There have been issues with SU in Taboonay. Happens after a backup / restore. I had the same thing.
For a more complete solution check the thread on Taboonay / DEV in the forum, but the short answerthat worked for me with Taboonay is : uninstall SetCPU, Reflash 2.1, reboot, reflash 2.1b. this worked for me...
Good luck!

Now do a full backup using cwm.
Now do a full restore using cwm.
Now No root, just try it.

Hi All,
Would really appreciate some help. Tried flashing a 4.3 ROM and had some troubles deleting apps (kept rebooting when It tried uninstalling). So I went back to Omega, but found that it would let me install the rom but when I reboot it hangs at the splash screen. I have tried factory reset, format data, cwm, twrp, philz touch and get the same outcome. I have tried fixing permissions after formatting the data as well. Anyone got any ideas how I can get my phone to reboot after installing or recovering would be really really welcome.
Thanks for any help,
Mike.

Hi,
Look HERE
Thanks for taking time to answer. You think I need to go back to stock? What will that change, that flashing other ROMs and recoveries hasn't? Could my boot loader be corrupted?

Hi,
Yes.
Return to stock, and then, try flashing again.
For the latest 4.3 ROMS , you need the latest recoveries, otherwise they just give errors.
Also for deleting unwanted apps and other junk, try ROM CLEANER

I'm flashing the stock home.tar file but still getting stuck at samsung flash screen. Even stock isn't getting me past this! Still able to flash and boot once of the flashed roms or recoveries though. Anyone got any ideas for me please???
Hey everyone!
I have been a long time XDA member and was hoping someone out there could help me.
I have an MDL bootloader and am running CM11 currently. I have tried multiple kernels including stock CM11, ktoonsez, and Chronic and different ROMS. However I have a problem where sometimes my wifi refuses to turn on. I will click for it to turn on and it will say "turning on" but it just hangs there. This also happens if I soft reboot my phone( meaning I will lose wifi if I soft reboot at anytime) The only way to fix it is to give it a full reboot. I have tried with xposed unistalled and all. I can't possibly see it being caused by an app, but any help would be appreciated!
Thanks a bunch!

Yup!I've even flashing Roms for years and have never run into this. It seems like no one else mentions the problem in the posts for the ROms either. I think I'll try to run cm10.2 to see if its just KitKat roms

I also had that problem for nearly a month, your EFS partition may be corrupt, Just ensure to be rooted open up Root Explorer and go to your EFS folder & select all files and folders, after that set all the permisions to everything, reflash stock or your prefered rom and it should be working fine, this is what fixed my problem.
