Any way to clear Favorites tab in dialer?

Android populates the "Favorites" tab in the dialer app with often called numbers, but so far I haven't found a way to clear it. If you try to delete an entry, it deletes the actual contact. This feature is annoying. Any way to solve this??
Goto settings--> applications--> manage applications--> scroll down to, Gmail, touch click it--> touch click, manage space--> touch click, starred, until its blank (not synced)
Then click the back key, scroll down to, my favorites, touch click it--> touch click, clear data--> touch click, ok
This should clear all your favorites and keep them from showing up again...

You're welcome
On a side note, if you want to repopulate your favorites list, repeat the first part and re-sync your "starred" option...
Thank you
widto08, thanks so much! I've tried syncing, re-syncing, deleting the Starred in Android group and re-entering it, deleting contacts in Gmail and re-adding aftersync and nothing! I knew it had to be stored in a cache somewhere but couldn't narrow down which application data to clear and I wasn't in the mood for losing anything important! I passed your info along over at the T-Mobile Forums since this questions has been asked a million times and no one has found a solution until now. Thanks again!
sadly this doesn't work for me. I mean it does but I need my starred emails... that is the whole purpose for me starring them
I only have my faves when I scroll down not my favorites and the last time I cleared the data from my faves it deleted all my contacts, are you talking about my faves or will a app called my favorites will appear

It will clear your contatcs buyt you should be able to sync My Contatcs and get the right back via your Gmail account and your MyFaves contacts will re-sync with MyT-Mobile. Onlky bad thing is having to reset your icons and ringtones, it does delete the list. Unfortunately I had some non-starred contacts reappear in the today, and I don't have it set to sync. Oh well at least it's clearable.
Go to settings--> applications--> manage applications--> scroll down to my faves--> select clear data..... It works for me..
Seems like this method is only a temporary fix. The favorites, as well as your contacts will disappear (contacts will reappear shortly) but as soon as calls are made / received the favorites are repopulated.
Favorites Tab
Hey sorry guys for bringing this thread back from the dead, but there is an app on the market Called LogAssistLite that clears the Log and Favorites tab automaticly.

Uploads to YouTube are failing

For the last week all of my uploads are failing. Upload status is "failed" and it says service is not available at this time. Please try again later.
Anyone else have this problem?
Try removing your youtube account in the settings, reboot, then add your account back and reboot.
Thats what I did and it works fine now.
Thanks for replying. When I go to settings and choose "remove applications" I do not see YouTube there. I only see the apps that I have added. Where would I look to delete the stock apps?
It isn't an app.
Settings -> Data Services
Under "Social Networks" part, you'll see YouTube.
Tap the On/Off
That did the trick. Thanks. You da man.

Multiple Contacts DISASTER.

I linked my facebook up on my phone and even after DELETING the program it still links all my contacts.
So now, I have 500 people when i go to select a contact to text and when I type in a friends name 3 entries pop up.
Ive tried looking up stuff on google and even tried everything to unsync it and its completely unsinked and it still wont help.
HOW DO I GET RID OF THREE OF THE SAME CONTACT POPPING UP ON MY TEXTS?
Please help its making my phone unuseable i really loved this phone until this issue
Best to start fresh. Deselect the contact sources you don't want to sync. Go to settings/applications/manage applications. Hit the running tab. Scroll to find "contacts storage" app. Select it. Select delete data. This will erase all your contact data. You can then resync the contacts you want.
Swyped on my rooted MyTouch4G
ended up using a friends recommendation of contact remover/removal from the market nice free program
Here the fix it happen to me to:
Go to-Contacts-Views and choose only with phone number. I disable the facebook for my touch under options. You can disable the other choices you have there too. Hope this work for you!

If your Music App did Nothing after you joined the Music Beta and uploaded songs

It happened on me. I waited 1 hour after I upload my music, but there is no sync or download to my Xoom yet.
It turns out to be my Music app is not somehow updated correctly. I went to the market, which says I already have the latest Music app. But there is no option in Settings in Music at all. Until....
I cleared data in "Manage Applications" and Uninstall Updates for Music app. Then go to Market to install the update again.
Now you will see an option called "Settings" in the dropdown list at top right hand corner. Key in your google account then all sync will follow:

Thank you that worked for me

Reset Music App on Xoom

Hi,
I have signed up to Goggle Music and all appears to be working well between my phone and the cloud, however, the playlists on my Xoom are present but report 0 songs. If I delete the playlist it deletes the playlist in the cloud. I am looking for a way to completely reset the music app so it has to go to the cloud and reload everything. Trying to avoid a reset to factory settings if I can.
Thanks
Settings->Manage Applications > Locate your Music app. Then Clear Data, Force stop (if it is running). You can uninstall the update, then go to market to re-install the update, and you can reload everything.
Try clearing data for the app with settings > applications > manage applications > music >clear data. You'll probably need to select your Google account again in the music app settings afterwards.
Sent from my Xoom using Tapatalk
Awesome, worked, thanks Guys
