[REQUEST] Port Community Hero Mix to Fission - Droid 2 General

I'm hoping someone with more theming experience than I (maybe draya?) can port Community Hero Mix to our phones for Fission 2.1 and above. Here is the XDA link for it: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=5833373&postcount=1

I do like that theme lol

Did some work on it before n0yd. Got a lot of it ported over, but I'm just working a few things out. gonna see what I can do to get it all over. (Running it on DX at this point, but porting it to D2 will be easy enough)

[Q] Porting Desire HD Rom on Samsung Vibrant

I saw in the xda developers home page that the desire hd rom has been ported to the milestone. If it is ported to the milestone is it possible to port into the vibrant.
Is it possible? Yeah probably. The real question is if anyone will attempt to do it.
I doubt this will happen, many people including myself believes sense for android is a memory hog. I did just fine with TW and the other launchers. Sense is pretty but probably not worth the hassle. Maybe once 2.2 comes out and we see more development activity things might change.

[DEV DISCUSSION/Explanation] MIUI

The reason I am writing this thread is because of this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=883222
The OP raised his concern regarding Cyanogenmod not being the biggest concerns for the Dev's. But I honestly think that during the times of CM6 the Dev's could have played a bigger role of bringing it to our Vibrant. I know Eugene tried to do something with it, but i think the release of Gingerbread 2.3 made his work not worthwhile because it was based on 2.2.I am aware that CM7 is in"heavy development cycle" due to Gingerbread 2.3, and most likely will be coming to our Vibrant. With that being said, I feel it is necessary because since we were not able to get CM6 to our phones then why not go for MIUI.
Honestly it is one of the greatest ROMS out there and sometimes i feel that our Vibrant should be getting some more love.Keep in mind that I am in no way bashing TW/Eugene or any other Dev's. Their work is nothing short of quality since I have been a very heavy user of both the Nero and Macnut Series. But I am sure that most people wouldn't mind having MIUI on their phones since its the best of both worlds. (Iphone/Android) Also, I wouldn't know the full process porting such a ROM because it is not an easy task and I am in no way a developer. Maybe it is being worked on with a 2.3 Base? Idk? I am just seeking for answers as I am sure most of other people are as well. I really hope that MIUI really comes to our phone and it becomes one of those projects where many Dev's were in the process to port the SenseUI (back in the day). Just trying to make our community better.
For Those who are unaware of MIUI ROM, here's a demo:

Flame me, Hate me, w.e.. I just think its a debatable subject.
Ty.
What is this? A new trend?
hopefullu for the good.
Here is why, in my opinion.
If 25% of the masses want cm or miui, 25% want 2.2.1, and the rest want 2.3 - 2.3 it will be.
I like miui, I even had a barely working version of it for a little while. But, the guys who use my releases know what they want, those who use TW want their roms bionic, etc for master, eugene et al.
Nowdays, with leaks once a week, I think it will be tough to get a dev to drop everything else and start a port like miui.
But, if I could do it, I would, I think.

Wow, that was the exact answer I was looking for. Like I mentioned before I am no Dev and you being here longer than me and more experienced I will take yourword for it. Your also right about these leaks coming very fast. Hopefully after a full port of 2.3 is done maybe just maybe we can get MIUI.
Thx Alot.
Yeah I Was Gonna Start Working On MIUI But I Need A Cyanogen Source, There Isn't One So I Kinda Hit A Wall
Maybe If Jellette Can Send Me What He Started I Can Just Port MIUI

[Request] Vanilla ROM

I've searched high and low but have yet to come across a truly vanilla rom. I used to have a Desire and there are a few roms like Oxygen and Redux which are generally based on CM7/6 source, but they strip out all the extra bits and put a few tweaks in here and there. Is there anyone out there that would do this for the HD? Lots of people (Like me) just want the OS to download and I will take care of theming/apps/settings/etc.
So, is there one I haven't seen yet? If not, is anyone interested in a project like this?
Adwinp has an aosp rom in the development thread, its vanilla rom with 2.3 base and its still work in progress.
Its called [email protected] I have been watching his thread since he announced development, so at the moment there are still bugs present and some stuff is not working but I think if more people show interest in this project and help with bug fixes we could have a vanilla rom sometime in the near future that's not cyanogenmod.
I'm like u, wishing there were more aosp roms available.

Developing ROMs.

Hi everyone,
I want to start developing a sense 2.1 based ROM. Can someone put me on the right track ? If it's possible then I want it to be a gingerbread rom.
Why make 2 threads on the subject, nobody replied in the first so what makes you think apart from me anyone will reply here, do you not think if it was easy for us mere mortals to port a gb sense rom we would have one by now, after all we are rockin ics and miui now too........
Sent from my HTC Wildfire using xda premium
The first was in the Q&A and no one replied so I went to the general section.
I don't want to port as there is arleady another one half ported. I want to take cm7 as a base and insert sense files in it if possible.
If it's not possible to make it then I'll take cm6 as a base, and keep the rom for myself because we arleady have lots of froyo sense roms.
EDIT: in other words, I want to make a hybrid rom
