I know the newest Hastarin Kernel doesn't support extended battery. But has anyone used extended battery with it?
I have an 2400mah extended battery coming from ebay. I was wondering if it would work even if the Kernel doesn't support it.
THanks!
Well, you can try Since the kernel does not implement the correct loading scheme (like switching to trickle drain if the battery is nearly full) it will either: * stop too soon, which gives you a not fully loaded battery or * stop too late and in the case of a lithium ion battery that means a potential nice |BOOOOOM|. I don't think you want to risk your phone to explode. I'm afraid you will have to reboot back into WM to recharge the battery or stick to the old kernel.

hey everybody...
i never changed my battery in my wizard and i think it might lost his recharebilety
because when i turn on wifi the battery last only for about 50 minutes boefore it is empty.
is that normal? or do i need tio change my battery?
thanks
Well... the wificard drains your batt fast, but in 50min... that's pretty fast!
You could try to flash a carrier (original) rom, and then flash your favourite custom rom. But I personally think your battery has died a little bit, it's not new anymore (I guess).
Maybe a few full drains and recharges will revive your battery... But Li-ion and LiPo has, just like other batteries, it's limits and lifespan.
Goodluck.
Hi,
i have constant awake calls but i cant find the reason. I cleared all apps, the ROM is installed clean with full wipes before. Can anyone see why? Its just about the awake state, not the battery usage while screen is on.
What do you mean? Deep sleep is 84.6%.

Thanks for your reply.
Previously i had Liteningrom.
When I looked at the battery awake status it was clearly sleeping for all the time the screen was off (and the phone not in use by myself),
so the battery lasted for more than a week without apps.
Now its waking up all the time and i don't know why
So you mean these are normal stats and I cant tweak it better?
EDIT: The reason is, I want to travel with the phone instead of a laptop (and charge it by solar as well), thats why I'm trying to get it perfectly battery saving without awake and background interrupts.
you should buy a new battery ( best is the official samsung 2000 mah battery ) so you can last longer or get the 1900 mah anker batteries, they are cheap and fit the case so you can switch batteries when they are empty.
im no expert but i dont really see any bad apps causing wakelocks.

That is the 2000mah already
I will have an external Power bank as well but its useless if the ROM is draining too mutch power while i dont use it.
It was perfectly sleeping with Litening ROM before, but that ROM was a pre release of ICS in the past and is so outdated now.
I was hoping Ressurection Remix 2.6 and Siyah Kernel could bring the same battery saving mood.
Some kernel could have one of this features or other that in the immediateness of the live experience could seem great improvement (never find the phone with 97% after the charge ad example) but shorten the life of the battery. Does the most popular kernel of Nexus 4 have this feature? Do you know how to see if they had these?
The phone will be obsolete long before any significant damage is done to battery health, don't worry about it
I m running CM 12.1 , fast charging is disabled as fast as i know in this rom but i have an app that shows me my battery is running at 4400mV
anyone knows how calibrate the phone on any rom for the zerolemon 10000mAh battery
disabled most feature of the rom and battery still darning , I think the next thing to do is switching the phone off hopefully it would save the battery
I have an i9505 running resurrection remix 5.5.6 with alucard kernel. all was going ok-ish until I used the battery calibration app to delete the batterystats.bin file. since then the battery will only charge up until the high forties or low fifties in percentage terms. the battery was fully charged when I calibrated it, it's really getting on my nerves now.
could it be a kernel thing ? I have fast charge enabled in alucard...
any help would be appreciated !!!
1. Do not use battery calibrating apps. They are useless. They are for old phones and are useless now.
2. Deleting batterystats is useless. Do not do this anymore. Android can take care of it.
3. You can try a diffent ROM/kernel. Maybe that wil fix it.
For the future let Android handle you battery. It's perfectly capable of doing that.
Even on older phones battery calibration apps were useless, because Android always deleted the batterystats.bin file when the battery was charged to 100%.
OP, contact Anker and see if they have an app to reset the battery percentage. Some companies, like Mugen Batteries, offered such an app because the device itself couldn't recognize when the battery was at 100%.
I manged to get it fully charged today and I'm wondering if it's related to alucard kernel as this only seemed to happen when I was running the first two cores at different values from the last two.
be interested to hear if anyone else gets the same thing if they recreate settings like that...
still, I'll look into that anker app angle. I also have a zero lemon battery that doesn't seem to give it's proper capacity. personally I think Samsung Androids are quite poor with batteries in general, like your percentage going up after you've put the phone down and stopped using it, or the last 2 % lasting longer than the previous 20 (on extended batteries at least)...
