New MDA ROM version from T-Mobile Germany

T-Mobile Germany has released a new ROM version for their MDA. It brings the version number from currenty 3.13.xx to 3.15.12, dated 06/12/02.
Major changes are the integration of EUU3 and the "GPRS always online" feature already known from the latest XDA ROMs from o2.
Unfortunately the MMS client software has not yet been built into the ROM.
The SMS bug is still not fixes, so it's still needed to install the patch if you want to see the names of SMS senders.
"CSD line type" now has 4 instead of 2 entries: v32, v34, v110 and v120.
All in all I would say that this update adds less improvements than the latest XDA update did to the XDAs. On the other hand the version number is higher...
But now here comes the problem: Unfortunately T-Mobile has not yet released this version for download. I received it from someone who had it on an MDA that he just got back from repair. The radio version was also updated to version 3.17 (currently the latest version offered for download by T-Mobile germany is 3.07). I would believe that these updates will be available for download shorty, but currently they aren't yet. OK, radio update 3.17 is not that much interesting...

Have you tried O2 Ireland? Or just wait a week, I guess British O2 will release the update soon...
i think you can find the suitable ROM from QTEk on www.qtek.dk

[Q] O2 Gingerbread Update From Kies

Hi, I'm currently running Froyo on my O2 Galaxy S (currently unlocked and unbranded to use on Orange) and I'd just like to know if O2 have released the Gingerbread update yet? I've googled it and apparently so, but everytime I try and update I get "The version of the device cannot be updated.".
Thanks.

Yes it has been released through kies, make sure you have the latest kies on your pc, or go to samfirmware and download it from there scroll down to provider firmwares and its I9000XWJVH and flash it with odin. I can confirm the one on samfirmware is the same one you get through kies
I assume it is O2 UK - and not O2 Ireland.
See the following thread for details of how to restore Kies functionality if you need to do that. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1179508
You will need to substitute the O2 (UK) product code and PDA/CSC/MODEM/PDA strings to download your latest firmware - but the methodology should restore your Kies functionality. Try the following - I think this is the correct string for you.
CheckFusDownloader_v0.5.exe -c I9000XWJVH/I9000O2UJV3/I9000BWJV2/I9000XWJVH GT-I9000HKDO2U

branded - three austria
No update for my unbranded Omnia 7, in Italy. But I've enabled Internet Sharing with the Regedit...
i hvnot
Unbranded, Three UK
I think Microsoft will roll out this for unbranded phone Much More later!!! Mayb until Tango1...
But anyways, Ive enabled dis thru Registry
The hilarious thing is, at first, make me think, Branded phone is not gud, the update will b later than the unbranded ones, but since Microsoft decided to roll out every update with carriers, (****), luk at dis Thethering Update, we unbranded phones r later!
So mayb, it's gud to use a branded phone mayb....(((
maybe somebody can catch the update and post it here???
so we can flash manually...

Yes it would be great
I find it crazy that unbranded phones don't receive this update ...
I have manually updated my operator unlocked Omnia 7 to the new firmware and am very puzzled.
I am on O2 in the UK and thought that upgrading to this new firmware would enable wifi tethering but after the update, this was not enabled.
I updated to the SFR-FR update available from mobiletechworld.com and everything was ok apart from being unable to hear any calls so downgraded back to the KH5 firmware.
My Specs are now
firmware version 2424.11.8.5
Radio 2424.11.9.1
Bootloader 5.9.1.4
Does anyone know if I am going to have to follow the guide on here to enable wifi sharing or whether wifi sharing will definitely be available to unbranded Omnia 7's via a firmware update anytime ?
Set this registry value. Then try to update your Phone. Then restore the original value.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\Platform\DeviceTargetingInfo
MobileOperator : VOD-IT
MOName: Vodafone
OEMDeviceName: ATLANTIC_VDF_IT
Yes, please extract oem.cab from windows temp files after this tether upgrade and post it please
Sent from my OMNIA7 using Board Express
Yes! Pls extract oem.cab from zune temp files and share it
Sent from my OMNIA7 using Board Express
My vote for manual update oem.cab
Got my update last night on T-Mobile UK (branded) and tethering is enabled
Firmware revision number: 2424.11.9.4
Radio software version: 2424.11.9.1
Bootloader version: 5.9.3.0
Is there a way to force the update on a unbranded Omnia 7??
no, there is no way to force the update, because tethering is for carriers only ... i also have a open samsung omnia with a 3 Austria sim - card. we have to wait i also search for a 3 austria CSC / firmware. but nothing ... i only found 3UK or 3 ireland firmwares.
Lol, I forced KI3 fw yesterday (with cab sender), only to find out that the new T-Mobile UK update updates the fw to 2424.11.9.4 (I have 2424.11.9.3) and bl to 5.9.3.0 (I have 5.9.1.4) :'-( I WANT the new OEM.cab The tragic irony is I own a T-Mobile branded device, but have unbranded it, holy sh!t when are branded devices are supposed to get all the goodies first?
