Hey everyone. I followed this guide for changing a bunch of the transitions on my Evo. Since then I have found this thread which has downloads for some other types of transitions.
The second link is not metamorph ready, so I thought that I would just combine the two threads and use the information from the first one to make the new transitions metamorph ready. The theme will apply and every thing just fine in metamorph, but I don't notice any changes to my transitions.
Is there something that I might be doing wrong?

Who needs themes for TF3D anymore i say. Using the themes consumes precious rom, (check before applying ANY theme, and after) and seriously slows TF3D down.
Now with the great works of our developers here, we dun need any. i could seriously kiss a few of theme especially for the "no curtains" cab and "wallpaper4all" cab.
I say, download the "No curtains" cab, Wallpaper4all" and i'd like to add the "RC Mod", and you're all set to make your own theme right there on your device itself.
RC Mod can change the top and bottom control bars of your device with ease to adjust to your theme.
Note: several tsks cant seem to have their top and bottom bars edited, especially HTC Black. Just download another .tsk file, apply it, edit the top and bottom bar, and install all the cabs above, and wa la! your very own theme.
To further customize it, you can download TF3D Tabs Icons. There already are a few uploaded here.
I love doing it this way, cuz i do not handicap my TF3D speed, and i do not handicap my storage space.
I'd like to also suggest that theme developers start exporting their Tab Icons more.

i agree
Still theres alot easier to jus install a theme, but it is so sad that it fills up the rom, i have been carefull about installing new themes after my first hard reset, and just tested, say, about 5 themes, vista theme, orange light theme, the 2 last djoubhaa themes and the jewelery theme. now my rom is down to just about 7 mb. and when i reset to default theme it stays at 24 mb, when it used to be around 60?
i love themes, but not all files seems to be deleted with the apply theme app.
and therefore filling up the rom with useless files taaking up storage space.
I have not installed a single app to the rom either, so it cant be what is causing the pile-up.
I totally agree as well!
Customizing is a nice way to kill time
To spare my fellow readers the searching i have compiled a linklist. There's a lot more of course. This is just to get you started

Great Post!!!
OK one thing and I will request it over at the other post as well... but is there a way to put the "curtains" back? I tried it and some of the tabs have junk under the curtain... I will probably use the top curtain one but I can not figur eout how to get the bottom one back...
Thanks,
SoBBie
definitely the only way to go, installing a whole theme seems a bit like overkill to me, so I just change what I wish to go, naimly blank out those top curtains, do the wallpaper & use my own iconset (which can be seen & downloaded here : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=478066)
oh man...the rc mod is great...thanx a lot for finding this stuff man...lov my diamond a whole lot more now:'(
I saw a few people asking questions about how to remove this and this is going to become more annoying when full blown themes are made but i figured i'd let everyone know how to get rid of the default background and just use the manilla default.
Go into
HKEY_Current_User\Software\HTC\Manila
delete the contents of defaulthomebackground and homebackgroundpath.
DO NOT DELETE THE KEY JUST THE CONTENTS.
Enjoy. I'm going to start moving my themes from the xperia thread to Rhodium Themes section and i'll include this modification in my cabs so stay tuned.
How do you set a theme .cab file to remove things from the registry? I have always wondered that. I don't want people to have to do it manually.
And I wish you would have posted this a 2 days ago as thats how long it took me to figure out... lol I just got it about 3 hurs ago... hahaha.
Now the only other major problem I have is to be able to cfc compress a theme that will work on the stock Rhodium.
I think if you just add these registry keys in and leave the string blank it will clear them out but i can't say that for sure. I'll post a cab of my Touch of Blue theme and see if people can use that
Bah. Nevermind. Wrong thread.
Sorry I couldn't understand the reason behind the thread? Simply you can change the wallpaper from the setting tab...
The reason for the thread is to inform people on how to go back to the default tf3d background. Changing the background in the settings tab only changes the home tabs background unless you have the background in all tabs modification. So for instance if you install a theme via cab and u've never made this mod then u will have a different home screen which doesn't match the theme.
Ok..
Thanks for the clarification...
Hello to All.....
I hate being a noobie with this stuff and I have done my fair share of searching & testing (with quite a few hard reboots) but I think I'm missing something here. In a lot of the different theme.cab pics I've seen, they will have both a clear clock and slider bar. But every time I install a theme.cab file it only has an effect on the wallpaper; not the clock or the slider. Are these separate "modification" that need to be done or should installing the theme.cab take care of it all?
I've played around with the Crystal Clock install but that has caused some problems and now I can't even uninstall. As far as transparent sliders....I can get nothing to work.
Does having a transparent clock or slider require some type of "root" installation of some other program first so whatever theme gets installed will take effect?
I've downloaded the HDwall program and have been playing with it for a bit but for the life of me I can't get a custom slider to work.
If this makes any difference I'm running a Verizon version of the TP2.
As I said, I hate asking but it's driving me nuts and I'm hoping someone can give me some direction as to how to get these themes fully working. This is certainly a lot different than the older themes I used on my Samsung i760.
Thanks much,
Brian
same problem
I've come across the the same problem. I've tried to install seperate clock cabs and also whole themes. In my case the clock never changes. I installed MaxTTM tried to install the custom clocks and they never work, I actually have to restore the theme to get the messed up clock off of it. tham
nks for the help.
Hey guys, this post may be of some significance to you Verizon users.
I also posted this in the CM forums (copy/paste)
forum(dot)cyanogenmod(dot)com/topic/9632-theme-systemgt-and-systemst-metamorph/
Overview:
In this thread you'll find my System_ themes. All icons in this pack are original, as they've been created by yours truly. About 50% of the notifications bar has been kanged from the NexDEEP theme for SystemGT. I say 50% because some of it has been tweaked slightly.
I don't have anything against the stock Android UI, but I did feel it could use some tweaks. I wanted to stuff more icons up top so I created the set below.
(I can't post links/urls)
That idea failed, but I still ended up with cool new icons. I needed something to supplement them, so I called upon the NexDeep theme because I liked the texture. Why recreate something that's already been done? After all, I wasn't originally planning on distributing this. There was a request to see more, so I was convinced to share.
Preview:
(I still can't post links/urls)
There isn't much more to show, because just about everything else is just minor changes. Consider this more like the black bar mod, on steroids.
Well, without further ado, here's the new SystemGT link: www(dot)mediafire(dot)com/?md1a03b7u31mwem
And for you stockers who want a little more flavor, SystemST: www(dot)mediafire(dot)com/?ewwh75abo3slqh1
What this does:
Gives you custom system icons (They act like switches. SystemGT: white=on, gray=off, SystemST: black=on, gray=off)
Round battery tweak
Transparent scrollbars
Stock color Power Widget (optional)
Instructions:
Download MetaMorph from the Market (optionally use NinjaMorph)
Download File onto your SD Card and open it from MetaMorph
Choose your options (framework is the one you want, settings is optional)
Apply theme
Reboot
Reapply wallpaper image
The following is only necessary if no "black bar themes" have yet been applied (SystemGT only)
Go into CyanogenMod settings and change desired text colors to opaque white (#FFFFFFFF)
Enable display of battery percentage (if not already ticked, optional)
Change color of Notification Power widget indicator to #FF00BB00 (CM6.1.x, optional)
Reboot
Done
Notes: This failed for me on CM6.1 RC1 but worked again in RC3. I've never loaded RC2. Also worked in Nightly #160, CM5.x, CM6.0.x.
Can work with other themes if user is knowledgeable in tweaking XML files (for text colors). I'm also not a real dev, so I wouldn't know how to support your ROM if you've made prior tweaks.
PS The SystemST screenshot is an old one back when I had stock FroYo, before CM6 was out.
Please, if you do decide to use my icons to pack into other themes, at least give me credit. It's all I ask. Thanks.
Just wondering why theres not any themes for the acer tab?The asus has like 20 different themes that are made for the roms, just a question now,im looking into that new theme chooser and themes http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1167075 and theres another one on here that has one the VillainTheme System http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1206052 ,i'll pm these guys to see if theres a chance of them porting this to the acer.I noticed one is for CyanogenMod 7 and the other is made for mostly phones.

I'll give it a go,thanks.
i want to know why there aren't themes to the notification bar, like different colors, icons, and styles. is the black notification bar on honeycomb pretty locked down unlike on android mobiles?
quite new
Honeycomb is quite new.there are way less numbers of devices out there.this means less development.then add the fragmentation of device spacific fragmentation.
BLAME GOOGLE.for not forcing compatibility across review as such.Ms Mac does forndevelopers.
Less is customizations from lens.and standardized software is much needed with android.
Or true complete open source and forces Unlocked devices
OK I stop ranting now

I've changed the icons for my Back/Home/Recent Apps buttons on my bar. The png files are in the systemUI.apk
With a file explorer and 7zip you can change the button graphics to pretty much anything you want.
I would love some new boot animation same old android logo very boring, tabooney has some great kitchens for boot animation any idea if it would work running 3.2 stock from with cwm
