I've been getting "android.process.acore" messages for the last couple of weeks. It happens whenever I rotate the homescreen.
One thing I've read said it could be the widgets, but I've removed each one and am still having the issue.
Any ideas?

I get that sometimes randomly, but I'm not sure what it means.
I'm just going to wipe everything and start from scratch. I'm getting it constantly now, and it's starting to be a real pain.

I wiped it clean, went back to cyanogen, and added everything back.
It worked for awhile but came back. When it does it now, it takes me to the previous app I was in before going to the homescreen.
If it's the widgets (on ADW Launcher btw), I have:
NewsPro Reuters App
Advanced Task Killer
TM World Clock
Power Control
Icons w/ Desktop Visualizer
Oh dear, sadness is overtaking me! (sorta melodramatic but still very true)
Any help would be appreciated.

Rule them out...remove them all and add them back one at a time, over time, until you can reproduce the problem...that is, of course, assuming that you don't get the error when you don't have any widgets...
To solve the score force closes, first back up your contacts or make sure they are synced to Google. Next go to settings-> applications-> manage applications->all-> and select contacts storage. Once you have done this hit Force Stop, then clear data. Reboot and resync your contacts and you should be free of your issue. I had the same problem until I found an article ellaborating this process. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the responses.
I tried both the widget and contacts fix but it didn't work. Only when I updated to cyanogen RC2 (released today) has the error gone away. Weird.

i decided to find out what the hullabaloo about Beautiful Widgets was and bought it... and then tried their fanciful widgets and weather and stuff. Not sure if I get the deal, (I look at the sky to find out the weather and I dont need more reminders of what time it is) but anyway -- last night I got into some settings in BW and then remember something about "reboot to disable home button" or whatever and I forgot I was not rooted, so I went ahead with it. (Had i been rooted I would have done a data wipe and restore and not needed to make another XDA thread)
But now I cannot use my home button. It goes nowhere. It vibrates but thats it. Doesnt go "Home" and long press doesnt give me my last 6 apps.
I uninstalled BW (both the apk and whatever the widgets were) so now I have no more BW on the phone, and it somehow even reset my system settings so I had to set that all up over again!!!!
I had Launcherpro apk and Zeam and have uninstalled both of those and now I only have ADW launcher. I set the ADW settings to enable the home button to go to "default screen" but now it doesnt do anything.
I havent been able to use home button normally since that Beautiful Widget setting thing last night.
My next step is to go into fastboot and do a data-wipe (the stock settings for data reset doesnt really come close to what a fastboot data wipe does, I think) but then Ill have to deal with restoring a non-rooted phone and not looking forward to that without my beloved Titanium Backup.
So anyone know Beautiful Widgets inside out who can let me know how to get my home button back to normal. Otherwise its a hardware issue and I doubt it because ive been treating this phone like its the queen of england, delicate and carefully.
Im positive this was caused by a Beautiful Widget setting change...
solved
I tried everything possible.... and got so pissed about the home button not working that I did a factory reset off the SPL. That fixed it -- my home button now works.
So something in the Beautiful Widgets settings caused something to become embedded and it made my home button useless. Im 99.9% sure of that -- .01% would go towards "hardware malfunction".
careful in those BW settings. nice widgets, but horrible batt-drain. Too Sense-i for me.
Did you try resetting the default app settings for Beautiful Widgets or the built-in launcher? Menu -> Applications -> Beautiful Widgets -> Reset Defaults.

I guess, You are doing End All...instead of single End.
I am using Program Monitor, just pressing END in front of the app !!!
I do have the same problem on jpy...reset worked for sometime but the problem returns.
But what puzzles me is why shd the program manager show contacts open even after closing through the back button alike older firmwares
Sent from my GT-I9000 using Tapatalk
Anyone knows why ?
I found that if I upgraded to Program Manager 1.5 the contacts did not close with the back button. Leaving Program Manager at 1.1.12 means contacts will close with the back button.
Thanks, but still no reason to clear icons when you close it
Same here - after i opened contacts, i am not able to close it anymore, besides program manager - and then, all icons disappear for a while - strange...

I rooted my M and installed the original leaked JB from Moto the day it was available. Today I installed Safestrap 3.07 and created a backup of my current image. Done deal, works fine.
The weird problem is that my launcher doesn't stay active any longer. I use Smart Launcher Pro and have been for a while. Once I rebooted, created a backup with SS, then the default launcher came up and I can't change it.
Any ideas? Silly issue, but if I'm doing something incorrect, I need to know so I don't keep either making the same mistake or become increasingly frustrated trying to work it out.
Thanks folks.
Figured it out. Undefaulted the home screen in Apps cache and made super launcher default.

Go to Settings -> Apps -> Running
Click on "Show Cached Programs" in the upper right corner
Find Home Screen and click it. then find the Cache section of the app and clear it
Then when you go back to the home screen, a dialogue box will pop up asking you which program you want to use as a launcher. Select what you want and click "Always".
Worked like a champ for me, hope it does for you.
Seems we should have a thread with bugs and if anyone knows how to fix them, solutions since we finally have Lollipop now.
First bug I've encountered is in Google Voice.
If you open the advanced settings, two of the options are grayed out that should be available... they allow google voice to hear you if you have an app open, or the screen turned off, and also to allow you to train it.
If you reboot your phone, you WILL have access to these settings for a short period of time before it dies again. just retain it then.
Voice search works if you have a homescreen open, or if you have google search open, but the additional functionality is busted.
I also searched, and it looks like Sprint users ran into the same thing when they got lollipop a month ago.
Where the hell is the samsung app store? Kind die for Samsung keeps crashing too! Wtf?
Its called either galaxy gifts, or galaxy apps.
I'd just clear the cache on it though instead of turning it off.. they offer some apps with exclusive add ons, and some freebies you might want.
Also, I remembered something mentioned a few days ago.. go into application settings and turn off dm-ignite.
(Its a browsing snoop app that collects your data, and send it to Verizon so they can share it with marketing partners so they can serve you advertisements in browsers and applications.)

Go to Widgets and add the Galaxy widget to get to the Samsung store.
Not a bug, but it seems like one... this game is impossible! Has anyone had any luck with it? (Settings - About Phone - 5 taps on android version to get the lollipop logo, then swipe to get the game)

When using the power button to lock the device, there is an ever slight delay. The screen goes black but I can still accidentally open an app when setting it down. I did the OTA without factory reset and then ended up doing a factory reset. Still there. It reminds me of what used to happen on some roms back in the SGIII days. It's not a deal breaker and if that's the biggest issue, I can live with it.
Major problems with graphics inside of games. Marvel contest of champions looks like [email protected]#t now. Everything is dark and dull. Have been unable to find any fix for it

Fyi, when on home if you click the all apps icon, and when browsing all your installed apps hit the menu ellipsis, galaxy apps is an option in that menu. Just lucked out when I found d it.

In the stock touchwiz launcher with the app drawer open, hit the top right button (menu) and at the bottom is "Galaxy Essentials"

Now that is odd. I have not seen that option since I had my Galaxy S5. Thought it was a Note thing. To confirm, it is not there and was never there on my Note 4. Wonder if it's because I purchased from Samsung rather than Verizon. Seems Samsung would include their own Essentials app though. All Verizon apps were present.
S health pedometer doesn't show on lock screen if lock screen notifications are enabled. And also with wifi on the mobile data arrows don't disappear and I'm still seeing some upload traffic on 4g while using wifi.

You might need to FDR. I also have notifications on lock screen enabled and as long as I don't have any notifications my pedometer shows up

Do you have weather bug that displays the current temperature in the notification bar? That seems to count as a notification so as long as that's on no pedometer.

No I keep my notification bar clear on the left. I think there is a way to set the priority level of weather bug notifications that will keep them off the lock screen. Seems I did it for play store on my S5 as I hated the lock screen notifications for app updates. I just can't remember how I did it.

Changing priority either blocks the notifications on the bar all together, allows them, or leaves them saying "sensitive information blocked". I don't think there is anyway around it.
My Note 4 seemed very slow at first after the update, so I entered the recovery menu and cleaned the cache partition, and that seems to have fixed it.
Swappiness == 130?
I installed on 4/3. BOAF. I didn't factory reset, I did clear the system cache (several times). Pretty much everything seems great! For a while- except, it is burning the hell out of my battery/CPU (which 4.4.4 never did) and I notice (via OS Monitor) that kswapd0 is running A LOT. Even when I am showing 450mb free, kswapd0 is using 6-10%. Often it goes up to 23% and my battery lasts 1/2 what it did before. I've rebooted a number of times, no change.
So, I started looking into kswapd0 and one parameter that is important is 'swappiness'.
I checked : cat /proc/sys/vm/swappiness
And it says : 130
Yes, 130! That's pretty insane - the standard default is usually around 60 (and could stand to be even less, frankly on a 3gb device like this). But anyhow, 130 is causing major issues!
Has anyone been able to get the advanced calling to work? I activated it but the option to video call is grayed out? Any ideas?

The standard rounded searchbar on the home screen has suddenly been replaced with the original one, and i cant understand why and where the settings for it is.
When i uninstall the google app, for a short period of time the searchbar goes back to being rounded, but after i locked the phone and the next time i unlock the phone the old searchbar is back....

To fix you'll need to go into the Google App Settings --> Widgets --> Turn off "Show Updates"
