LagFix Problem any ideas??? - Fascinate General

Hey Guys I just used the lagfix from market on my sisters fascinate. I did a factory reset shortly after and now can do the lag fix again. When i try it says its already there........but its not working like before.
Any ideas on how to get it off my phone? The app says i cant uninstall and i cant reinstall cause theres one there already.

Try the restore boot animation on OCLF it deletes and reinstall playlogos1file.

Removing lag fix

I applied ryanzas lag fix and want to remove it quickly. Will formatting my phone via settings remove it? Does this remove root because I want to keep that.

What version of his lag fix did you apply? You could just use the unlagfix option if you used the market version or the one click.
I did the original the one that required a computer. Can't get to a computer for like couple of days and wondering if I can just remove it doing that method.
Yes formatting your phone.still remove it

I believe if you download the lagfix from the market, you can uninstall it. It gives me an option to remove it.
Search for "lag fix" and you'll find it in the market.

This will only work for lagfix V1+ If I remember correctly. I had installed the one click alpha version via adb and wasn't able to uninstall using the OCLF app. I had to do a complete wipe to get rid of it. The unlagfixme didn't work for me. I installed the app to make life a lil more simple after my wipe.

Do a titanium back up of all of your apps, flash the vibrant stock firmware, or even the new leaked one found here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=780935
Than use titanium to restore all your stuff, and you will have successfully removed it no matter the version you had used.
I have to go back to odin? You sure the format won't work?

If you did the computer one, you can undo it the same you you applied it, by clicking the file that says "undolagfix" or something similar.
I also installed OCLF but the market version and then I undone everything... But I noticed I still have update.zip should I delete it? Did stock vibrant come with update.zip?
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA App
if you go back to the zip file theres is a unlagfixme.bat in there just do that while ur phone is in debug mode

[Q] Market downloads do not work. Help!

Anything I try to download from the market just sits at "Starting Download." I've tried wiping the cache and dalvik cache, different wifi networks, 3G, but it still does it. I don't even get the notification. Help?
How about. settings/applications/manage applications
tick market/force stop/ next clear cache/ Next Uninstall updates and Reboot.
This method freed up a couple apps that were stuck on installing.
And it will reapply the update for the market as well after boot.
good day.

I've already done most of that. There are no Uninstall Updates option.
Had thee exact same issue. Wound up completely removing voodoo, flashing my stock + root + themes backup, re adding voodoo, and rebuilding the rest. Worked fine then.
I actually ran into the issue on my nexus, which I think was attributed to wiping, then restoring all my apps via titanium. I think I'll be avoiding that as I did the same before this occurrence.

I don't have Voodoo. Only root and birdman's voodoo colorfix. I think it may be Titanium because that is what I used to restore my apps since this is a brand new phone.

This happened to me after I updated to the 2.2 market, and installed the EVO font pack.
I uninstalled the evo font pack, uninstalled the 2.2 market, fixed.
If you've installed the 2.2 market, uninstall it, if you haven't, try installing that and seeing if it fixes the issue.

Just had the same thing today with the 2.2 market & I'm not rooted. Tried wiping the market cache, battery pull & reboot, even *22899 and unintalling & reinstalling the 2.2 apk. All failed. Uninstalled the 2.2 market & everything works again.

But I'm on the market it comes with out of the box.
Also, my phone was sitting there for about 2 hours. I had tried to install Dolphin HD 2 hours beforehand. It was installed. But, none of the other apps I tried to install did. This is so strange. Is there anything I can do to fix this? I need a working Market.
I got mine to work again...
I disabled voodoo and restored one of my back ups from a week ago that had the stock rom on it...
and now doing everything over again ...
I thinks you should try to restores yourse too maybe it will work again!

Market not downloading apps, not failing either

My market just displays "starting dowload" indefinitely when i try to download anything. And my google talk closes the instant that it opens. Any ideas on a fix?

+1 on needing a fix.
My market has the exact same problem.
Just started yesterday when i went to jts clean rom.

Have either of you done a titanium backup?
Sent from my SCH-I500 using Tapatalk
I had that problem yesterday I had to un-root the phone I can't post the URL but you can find the thread in the 2nd page of fascinate and devlopement forum
it was the only solution I found and it helped
Im Having the same problem. Happened after flashing JT's clean ROM.
It's from restoring apps with Titanium Backup. For whatever reason, whenever I do this, it breaks my market no matter what ROM and whether I have Voodoo or not. Restore to stock, re-root, and everything, and you need to restore every app manually.
I did not use Titanium Backup.
I posted a new thread about this, seemed to work for me and a few others I tried. Check "for anyone having market issues"
Been having the same problem. I used titanium to freeze then defrost Market. Then did the same thing to Market Updater. Market works perfect now, but it reverted from the Froyo version back to Eclair. But it's better than not working at all.
Promise this will work. Just go to titanium and click on Market and then click Wipe Data. Do the same with Market Updater. All will be fixed.

Thanks for the idea.
Got anymore? Did this, and the thread mentioned above and no change.
I will have to try reverting to eclair if i can't get this working. Argh

This is an old issue, with several things to try.
I would first suggest looking through your application list and uninstalling any 0.00 sized files left as ghosts of apps manually removed. There will possibly be other smallish sized files left behind as well if you can identify them.
Force stop and clear market cache
Boot into recovery, clear cache and reboot.

I tried everything you just said above exactly. It still has the same result: "Starting Download" indefinitely.
I also tried using Titanium Backup to wipe data for market and market updater, but that didn't work either. I'm pretty frustrated that I can't figure this out
Got a solution. I was having the same problem with my Evo. Go to applications, then go to installed on sd. Move everything over to the phone. Then go to all applications and clear cache/data/and force stop it. That did the trick. You can move everything back to sd card after it fixes the market issue and it shouldn't happen again.

Uninstalling the froyo market and reverting back to the 2.1 market resolved this issue for me on 2 phones ... Mine and the wifee.
I had this issue, and I found out something peculiar. I was running JT's Super Clean rom with Market 2.2 and a Voodoo kernel, and the Factory Reset ran, but did not actually reset anything. After turning Voodoo off, I was able to Factory Reset, which fixed the Market issues.
Same thing here...
I was having this issue as well. Had to install JT Clean rom w/ wiping cache and data. Tried every suggestion in the book but none fixed it but wiping cache and data and installing JT Clean Rom.

[Q] Rooted Evo reboots when trying to delete system apps

I just recently rooted my Evo 2.2 using unrevoked 3 and now when I try and delete system apps using the Titanium backup app then phone reboots. Can anyone tell me whats going on, am I really rooted?
im prettt sure this is normal. When I delete system apps my phone basically looks like its doing a hot restart. It doesn't shut all the way down it just kinda resets the system. The reason being, in order for those apps to not show up on your phone anymore it needs to be rebooted. If it doesn't reboot there basically still on the phone so like if u uninstall flash 10.1 and without rebooting try and install a hex edited version of flash, it won't install until the phone is reset or rebooted. So I think your ok. Hope that helps a little.
