Ok. I know this has been asked a few times, but no-one seems to have a definitive answer.
***What are the 'capabilities' of the HD2 with regards to multitouch?***
I know that currently the HD2 only supports 2 point touch but this is where the clarification ends. Some people say that the HD2 hardware only supports 2 points whereas others say its a driver problem and the HD2 hardware can support more than 2 points.
Can we please have a final answer once and for all?
Cheers
- Oops, should this be in Q/A? If so, can a mod move it? Ta

@sanjay2007,
First of all, just like jakubd said, there are quite a few threads on the subject. Using search never hurt anyone, so maybe you can try it before opening a new thread. I can see that you already have about 47 posts, so you have to be at least somewhat familiar with the forum rules. If you are not, please follow this link and read them:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=221545
Unfortunately, xplode is right. There is a hardware limitation on this matter. There are a few companies that make non-SDHC cards with higher capacities, and you might want to try those. The one that I am familiar with is Transcend. I have read mixed comments regarding their quality, so if you decide to go that way, I would recommend periodic backups... just in case.
Finally, if you start a thread regarding a specific issue, try to stay on subject. Xplode has a few threads dedicated to his roms, and neither he (or any other developers for that matter) has the obligation, need (or time) to search for, and answer questions that are located outside of the subject thread.
Just erase the thread...

Hello guys
I know its the wrong forum, but I own a blackstone, so this is my home to me I want to ask you if there's a similar forum like this one for the Samsung devices. Cause I saw the Omnia II and I'm very, very interested in it, its a beautiful device for me, it supports native divx and has AMOELD. So, I'm highly impressed. My problem is, that I absolutely love this forum, only with xda is my blackstone how it is.. And I fear that there is nothing similar for Samsung.. Is there any ROM-cooking? Is there such an support? Customizing? Development? If thats not there, I have a serious problem and I think I'll stay with my blackstone. So now the real, final question: is there anything similar for the Omnia devices? Thanks a lot for your answers!! And sorry for posting stuff about other brands but HTC Anyway, HTC rocks!
Greets, cad^^
Hi,
I contacted HTC recently regarding the Audio Booster issues and here is what they had to say.
Me: Hi, There have been continual complaints on forums regarding the Audio Booster on the HD2 and its inablilty to remain active. I get the feeling that everyone complaining feels that this solution provides the best sound output, but find it very frustrating when it turns off constantly. Are there any plans to address this issue? I have been advised that various non-official iterations of your ROMs have addressed this, so why hasnt it been done officially and 6 months after release? Please advise. Thanks.
HTC: Good morning (my name), Thank you for contacting us it is truly appreciated. In regards to your problem, we can certainly help you with that. We have noted your comments and suggestions. We understand the points that you have made and we are putting these forward to our development and update team. Please keep an eye on our website for any future updates or changes to this in the near future. Please note that we cannot confirm as of yet if we will go ahead with your ideas or not. Thank you We trust that this resolves your query, please do not hesitate to contact us again if and when required as a matter of urgency. Thank you for contacting HTC. Best regards, Mat B. HTC
Me: Hi, thanks for your response. Although it appears to me that my enquiry has not been treated as a known software issue, but more as an enhancement request. This should not be the case. It is a bug, that is as frustrating as former SMS issues, but has yet to be resolved.
Thanks.

The so-called registry fixes do not work. the only reports of a permanent fix are the cooked roms, which is what I mentioned in my post above. I don't want a cooked ROM, just proper acknowledgement from HTC that its a bug requiring a fix.
Let's see what unfolds....
Thank you for your enquiry about Audio Booster

Thats the latest answer i got when i complained about the Audio Booster (April)
I got this answer when i complained about it the first time (February)
I have looked into this issue further and it would seem it's a present on all HD2 devices so with all likelyhood a built in feature currently. We've forwarded feedback regarding this to our programmers for them to keep in mind with future updates so what I'd suggest is that you keep checking htc.com for the latest updates to your hd2.
Best regards,

Dear Friend Thank you for lookinf into my question.
I have an HD2 from sometime now and thanks to the dev's on XDA for android and windows i am able to continue using my phone and liking it everyday
My question is: since i am set that android is better than winmo at least for me and i am using it permanently. If i buy an android phone LIKE Desire HD or Desire, will i be able to change the roms like my touch 4G or any other rom build.
or i will be bound to specific roms and themes for it.
i like to test everything i could and enjoy trying new systems, which i am doing now on my HTC HD2. But even with the stability of android roms nowadays i think the performance will be better if it is a native android phone.
Opinions are mostly appreciated
I'm no expert in either of those phones, but almost every Android phone has a pretty active dev'ing scene. It's not that much effort to switch roms on a native Android phone, but certainly more than with an HD2.
The variety of roms will also be less I think, coming from an HTC magic the abundance of choice here quite shocked me.
You can find the answer to this exciting question, and more, by reading the forums for other phones.
Well i dont suppose .
All the HD2 build out here have custom kernels and other tweaks which have been modified according to its hardware and devices specification.
But you can surely port it to your device. MEaning you will have to modify and tweak the builds accordingly.
I aint sure though

Thanks for looking into the subject, but, i tried before asking and i could not get the proper answer for it, i found some things that was not clear to me maybe since i am not a user for that specific device. Thats why i asked, so that someone who has enough knowledge about it could help with the info.
Thanks for your effort.

Read and ask in these forums...
Desire - http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=594
Desire HD - http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=754
You're asking in the HD2 forum if there are ROMs available for other phones? Sorry, but that's just a waste of everyone's time (yours in particular!) Go to the relevant forums and do lots of reading in them before asking any questions, but ask them in THE RIGHT PLACE.
Oh yeah...
Thanks for your effort.
xyauto yt3580 app problem. Some applications cannot be turned on. Maps are blinking or the system is not responding. then a reset follows. Android update did not resolve the issue. I'm attaching a video. where could be the problem ?
Your browser is not able to display this video.
No one knows where the problem may be
Buddy, no-one seems to know much of anything here. I thought folks here were supposed to be experts but it seems not. No-one has given my questions any useful answers either, just one guy who has a down on the units I have which is totally unhelpful. I wonder why I bothered joining.
@Alfik223
No one can answer on such questions without getting more system information.
Don´t expect that someone searches for the unit you mentioned in your posting. Needed information should be given always if you need support.
Firmware?
MCU?
Memory integrated? 1/16GB unklikely?
@Mr.TT_NZ Sorry, why are you writing such bs? What do you expect to get? Buying a cheapo unit and wondering that this **** does not work as expected... If no one has an answer to your special questions means, that your questions are incomplete, not understandable, or you are using some hardware/software which no one else uses. You really should think before posting such statements, because you want to get help, most guys who are more or less experts won´t answer after your mimimi...
