I Perm-rooted, un-installed titanium then reinstalled it due to problems loading the system apps. Then I Backed up all data and applications, now it will not connect to any WiFi network that was remembered. I have tried pressing forget network and reentering the WEP key and connecting, but it just seems to loop from "Connecting........ Disconnected" and not giving me any error messages. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!! I do not get t-mo service in my home and use WiFi calling to gain my service back, and my girlfriend keeps nagging that i'm ignoring her
Bump bump bump bump bump
Note: Fixed the problem.. Somehow my router decided to enable MAC Filtering

my galaxy tab p1000jpjpc gives WIFI error--installed new rom,did factory reset but still WI FI give me error
if you want people to help, at least explain what is your WI FI error.
Did it turn on?
Can you see your access point. If not, can you see other's access point.
Or you can see it but cannot connect. Do you have security set in your router? MAC address access list in use? WPE/WPA/WPA2 ? Hidden SSID in use?
Or you seems connected but can't access internet. Did you get an IP address?
every thing is okey,my setting, my access point and my router. the problem is that when i press the WIFI icon to turn on,it give me error and never turn on, even after change the router and the WIFI network, never turn on even after installed new rom, and new route and factory reset
Go to Recovery and wipe cache. If rooted wipe Dalvic cache also.
If problem persists-
Reflash stock GB ROM and try.
first of all,sorry for annoying.
second, after every thing, the WIFI still give ERROR
Hi. I had this same issue. My solution was an app in the market called Fast Reboot. This closes and restarts all running programs. This seems to clear whatever was blocking the wigi from coming on.
If you have Tasker you may wish create a Task (and perhaps a widgit) to run the apply then switch wifi on. I have a profile that does this whenever I approach my home, and when my Tab is rebooted.
still ERROR
What if you switch off 3G, then fast reboot, then switch on wifi?
Thank u my friends for ur replies. I already solved the problem as it was hardware and changed the IC partition of WIFI
I have a LG Thrill 4G running stock FROYO/v10e 2.2.2 that will not connect to wifi. I cant even set up my google account on the phone. When I try it doesnt search for a wifi network, I have to enter it manually, and then get an error saying cannot establish a connection with the server. In the wifi settings it is stuck on turning wifi on. I cannot get into wps push button request or add a wifi network. I have looked through all applications and cant even find one that has anything to do with the wifi. Is it possible that the wifi file has been deleted from FROYO?? Can it be reinstalled, or can I reset the FROYO somehow? I am currently trying to do the urgrade to GIngerbread and then ICS, but of course I am having issues with it. If I get it to go through will it fix the wifi issue? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Ok any help that can be provided would greatly be appreciated. I have this strange problem where the wireless on my phone keeps losing passwords. I can put the password in and the wireless will be fine, but if I leave the phone for 30 minutes or so or disable the wireless the phone loses all wireless passwords and I have to re-enter the password for the access point.
I have already tried the following
Wiping the phone of all data / cache and reinstalling the MF9(crawrj)
Downgrading to MDL(crawrj) and then back to MF9(crawrj)
Also I don'tk now if this has anything to do with it but I can't update my PRL or profile unless I'm on Wireless. Using the 3g/4g I keep getting network errors.
I did search around but the only information I have been able to find is that the people have been reflashing the MF9. While I'm not against doing this, I have already done the steps 2x and it doesn't seem to work. I do appreciate any help though that may assist me with this
I would also like to add that after playing around with the WIFI a bit that I have noticed as long as the screen is on and there is a constant data connection the connection with the access point stays on. However even if I manually add and save the access point, the moment the data connection stops (ie there is no more traffic) the wireless scans an and I lose all access to the AP and it will prompt me again for a password if I try to join. This is a privately owned access point (not a public one based on tokens / time limits).
Again, any help that could be provided would be greatly appreciated.
Hall,
I got a TM530, rooted with Towelroot, no modifications otherwise.
When trying to connect to phone's WiFi Hotspot im getting asked for the password, after entering it there's the message "Connecting..." for a second or so - but I won't get a connection [emoji17]
A few days ago this was no problem - I'm a bit lost here.
My phone's running with Slimkat ROM with two weeks old weekly build, didn't change anything there, too.
Changing Hotspot setup and deleting the connection from WiFi menu on the tablet led to no success either ?
Any hints anyone? I'd appreciate

Pretty common problem tethering from a phone to tablet with the native tether method due to its lack of settings. Download the app WIFItether Router by Fabio Grasso. When you set it up, under "hotspot/tethering settings" make your SSID whatever you desire, use wpa2-psk for encryption type, then set a password, and desired channel (I usually use 11). Then under "device settings" for Interface select wlan1, under method use Method 3-HostApd, under drivers select nl80211, select WiFi -g for wifi mode. Then under "tweaks" check MTU adjust and also check HostApd patch. Now go back and select "enable wifi router". That should solve your issue.
Help!!! After update to 7.0 my phone has trouble connecting to WiFi. It's not mynetwork because other devices connect and it happens at my workplace too. I've tried clearing the partition cache, restarting it and forgetting the WiFi. Even putting it into airplane mode for a few minutes. I'm not very techie so please keep keep answer easy to understand.
I think I fixed it. I went to my Google account and there was a way to restore my wifi settings.
My wife's G4 has been having the same issue... I cannot get it to reliably connect to any wifi network. Very occasionally it will connect but it only lasts for a few minutes before dropping again. Most of the time it just doesn't see any wifi networks available. I've tried resetting to factory, I've reset default networks under wifi settings, I even applied the new system update that came out yesterday, and still no luck. This is very aggravating. Anyone have any ideas?
