OMFGB Rom

Im running the OMFGB Rom that I downloaded through
Rom manager, but I don't know what the real name of the
Rom is and can't find a thread on it in the forums.
Can anyone point me to the roms original thread so I can
Keep up with it. I really like the rom..

OMFGB is the name of the ROM.
It was removed from this site because of issues with the developer doing naughty things (I don't know very many details on it).
In other words, I don't think you'll find much support on it- but worth a try I suppose.

you can find more info for it on the developers new site, google R2doesInc if you want to find it.

I love OMFGB, but I've recently switched to CM7. You jut can't beat the battery life on it.

I'm neural in the whole episode. Just pointing out that when you post like this you actually make the whole dramatic incident more intriguing to those that are unaware (like me)
a simple cliffs would be much more helpful

He released his rom with wares in it... and was banned shortly after.
Devs you think are perfectly fine will do something that displeases the general public here and will disappear shortly after. From then on all you'll hear are cryptic comments about said dev, which as you said, only piques curiosity.
Not too much unlike a mob movie.
I think the whole things kinda silly. I used to like one developer named IncredibleDoes but one day he vanished and all I've read is how "taboo" and unforgivable his actions were. I actually have no idea what happened to him.
This is a place where users become attached to devs. We like their creations, heck some even donate. Still people will disregard this completely in saying "oh no not this again" when someone is genuinely curious.
Also, I think Smokeey was being sarcastic, ridiculing the very thing I am criticizing here.

He also took myns Rom from the evo, from a beta port by incubus I was told and themed it over to call it his own
At first he gave credit but then he slowly deleted it in his posts, oh and this is where the warez was from too
He did then what he's doing now, finding fixes from other peoples roms and puts them in his Rom
Flame me all u want, I don't trust him or jdk, or even incdoes after what he did

I'm not flaming anybody. In fact that sounds like a terrible thing to do and he probably deserves the animosity displayed here. I'm just saying this community cultivates an environment where people will invest emotionally in a developer. So people shouldn't lash out when someone's curious as to why a once respected person has suddenly disappeared. It would help to have a sticky or something regarding developer "departures".

It means he put others work into his and said it was his and he also put paid market items into his rom.

I just find it so funny that the people that defend him the most all ended up as moderators on his site. I'm honestly tired of the advertising.

I can see why they removed it now.

Posting ? 's in the wrong sections

As i look thru each section i noticed there are more questions in the wrong sections than there are in the proper section for them....wtf os so hard about posting a question in the question/answer thread section of this forum???
I for 1 will not help anyone doing this and i wish no one else would either.....maybe these dumbies might actually figure it out

You can decide not to help them, but if i know the solution, i will.
Put yourself in their place.

Yeah I agree that it can get annoying, but this thread isnt going to help. These quirks have been around since the dawn of the internet, and they arent going anywhere soon. The best thing you can do is be polite, tell them in a polite way where their question would get more answers, and help them if you can. They are much more likely to listen if you're friendly and helpful.

Development Thread is Polluted!

Is it just me or is there WAY too many ROMs now? To be honest, options are always good, but it seems there are so many different ROMs being pushed out and that worries me. It seems the Development thread is getting polluted with all these roms. Most of them seeming useless, at least to me. But what do I know?
Note: Maybe I'm getting tired of waiting for TW

This thread is D.O.A. People complain when there's too little activity in the dev section, but I've never seen anyone complain about too much activity...
Just because TW is your favorite team, doesn't mean they should be the only ones posting roms.

This has got to be the most BS complaint the vibrant forum ever had. Well that's just what I think don't know about what the others will say.

I think its dumb you guys locked the ics thread. Regardless if it was drews actual post or not the whole point of android is do what you want and ics and a port and thread and comments and rants and what not is the whole point of forums like this. Hello nexus s development has not one thing on it about ics. That should seem odd. Maybe I need to fire up my nexus one. How can we progress if u take away the online progress. I understand the guy has his own site and what not but that was are only insight into ics on xda. And we use the only phone that's going to get it first . Stop being online nerds. I begged The_Scotsman for an Off-Topic subforum for the Epic but was told no other device has that and they were not going to start a precedent here. There is one general off-topic thread for Android and that's it. So we are stuck with off-topic posts in General. Shouldn't prevent people from helping out though.

It takes requests to head moderators to have a new forum made. There is a main off-topic forum here

But I don't think you will get the exposure this needs. It is more troublesome when 10 people make new threads on "How to stop OTA notifications" rather than threads like this but that doesn't seem to irritate the same people as a single thread like this does.

Thanks for informing us of this terrible situation. Hopefully XDA as a whole can have a bigger impact on this little girl and her family, than we will ever know!

Don't post them in the first place is the easy answer. Call me crazy but when I come to the Epic General section I expect to read about general epic topics not some vote for me threads, help me with my family issues I created, or donate to me, etc. All the nonsense just drives folks away.

No kidding! I understand getting frustrated by an off topic post from time to time, but when it is something like this, deal with it. XDA is supposed to be a community. I don't know about you, but in my "communities" we help others when we can. Like the Milkman said, the title was very clear. If the topic is of no interest to you, keep it moving.

I get where this guy comes from, he has a point. Then again, just like with EVERY other friggin post that the resident forum police go into to talk their crap... if you don't like it, don't fking click it! Don't read it! Most of all, if you have nothing nice to say, don't say anything at all!
Its not hard.

Man That sucks if I had a job I would donate. But for the guy who thinks there needs to be a different spot for this thread then contact the admin of the forum and ask for an entire Subforum for Charities.
