My Wildfire he thing is... loud just isn't loud enough for my liking. My last soft-modded mobile ended up with a significantly louder maximum volume output due to a modified "gaintable". Is there any such thing that can be altered to increase the Wildfires maximum volume and do any modded ROM's have this in them already?

guys do u feel that the max volume of HTC HD Mini iz bit low as compared to other HTC Devices like HTC Touch...evn after installling update of ringtone clarity i feel it lacks the volume...plz tel do u feel the same???
My friend has recently purchased the HD Mini (I have the HD2) and yes, she complained of the same problem as you - the max volume on the HD Mini seems to be rather weak. This may be because the speakers are on the back of the phone, and when you place it face up, the speakers are blocked. She wishes there's a way to increase the volume even more than the maximum allowed though.
I posted this in the developers forum not realizing it was the wrong place - so cross-posting here:
I was wondering what others have found to be the optimal sound settings for their Nexus S 4g.
I'm currently using +3db for volume limit and headphone amplifier and medium bass boost.
It really depends on the headphone you use. Some heasphones produce strong bass and would not require bass boost at all while some do. I think the only common setting is to set the digital volume to as high as possible for better signal to noise ratio.
Since voodoo isn't compatible with the N4 how do I boost the volume?
Is there something similar to voodoo sound?

The nexus louder audio mod shown in that thread doesn't work. It just adds an app and changes some equaliser settings and generally makes the sound quality a lot worse.
What we need is something at kernel level to simply increase the volume of the phone like they did on the sgs3.
I wish kernel and ROM Devs would focus on this issue a.little bit because speed and battery life and other placebos aren't the only things people care about. The audio on this phone is Far far too quiet although it is good quality.

I feel that the audio coming out on the N4 is much quieter than on any of my previous devices. If you have an N7, you can test this out by setting both devices to the loudest volume setting, setting them to play the same song, and then play the first song while plugged in to your car, then unplug the first device and plug in the second device and play the same song. I have to crank up my car volume double do get the same sound quality. Its really annoying. Is there a fix somewhere that just lets you boost the volume like changing something in the system? I like the native equalizer fine, but the sound is so quiet when plugged into a headphone jack!!
Many Galaxy S3 kernels allowed you to modify the gain of the internal audio amp. Are there any kernels or apps for the i9505 that allow you to do this?
Many people like high volume for larger headphones ... my problem is I have overly sensitive ears and the lowest volume is not nearly low enough!

After 2 years of usage, I'm still not accepting that the audio of my Z3C is so low.
When I listen to the music, or during a call, the volume is very low, and even my little sister noticed it, saying that her Nokia sounds much higher.
Is this a problem of every Z3C? With root is it possible to increase the volume?
Thanks
Yes - with root, you can increase the volume by using any one of the numerous sound mods that can be found on this forum. The in-call volume has always been fine for me though until I tried some stupid technique to increase it recently and ended up making it worse. Now it's got half the output it used to have. #fail

I'm sorry to ear that
Is there a "best of" mod regarding the volume output?
I wanted to wait Marshmallow before rooting, even if my phone is already out of warranty, and wanted to change the battery too (hoping to not fail and break the phone...)
I may have exaggerated when I said "numerous". There is probably only 2 or 3 floating around (check the developer and cross-platform sections). Just depends on if you're running KK or LP.
Wouldn't it be harmful to increase speaker volume? When I listen to music via speakers my phone trembles(on max volume). I guess it's because the stereo sound?
There's no harm. The mods have been set to not exceed the limits of the speakers.
