Any tool , reference how to change system fonts on MIUI?
Brgds,
S.
I had problems changing the fonts trough the theme manager, the new fonts didn't get applied.
I downloaded Font Changer from the Market and replaced the default Arial and Droid sans fonts with new fonts. Rebooted and that did the trick.
I don't know the reason but I think it may have been caused because the system used the droid sans fonts and theme manager only changed the default Arial fonts to the new ones. Anybody else had issues with changing fonts?

I also tried with font changer but cannot find any extra fonts ...
Where did you obtain new fonts ... i cannot find any
There's many places on the net you can find typefaces for font changer. They need to be .ttf format files. The font changer has information and help inside the app itself, look there...

Oh man.. Just use google, whatever works. Don't want to supply any direct links if there's any copyright issues and some. The MIUI.us forum has a whole thread on fonts and probably other MIUI forums too.
go to settings-personal-themes-edit theme-font-online font
and just download some new fonts there via MIUIs own online font selection

I tried this but seems that default fonts remains after applying new chosen fonts! Any ideas? I also tried to reboot after applying theme font but nothing happens.

I have a same problem with MIUIs font changer. The font seems to be stuck on default. And reboot, hot or cold, doesn't help.

Try the font changer application from market and replace the default arial AND droid sans fonts with the instructions provided in the application.. You can pull the font files from .mtz files by opening them on the computer with any package archiver.

I tried font changer but cannot put back default fonts after using it
I noticed too that resetting defaults didn't work. Here's a solution that worked for me.
Look with the file explorer in the sd card folder called 'fontchanger' and copy the backed up default fonts into the custom fonts selection and change with the application itself.

Have anyone figured a way to change the front WITHOUT additional apps, just using MIUIs built-it font changer? Since, well, we do have it already integrated to the ROM so no additional apps SHOULD be needed..

Hey guys...
Earlier I was having real trouble in changing density on jelly bean rom and neither changing in build prop or nor any third party apps worked.
After lots of search and using all apps I found an app that can finally change dpi even on jelly bean rom.I thaught others still dont know its solution so I m sharing it.you can't apply any hdpi or other themes if u are not able to change LCD density
Link to app-
https://play.google.com/store/apps/...utm_term=play+store-resolution+change/density
Interesting tip:-
Guys u can apply any theme if u change dpi of your phone below 160 either theme is for hdpi or xhdpi devices and if u don't want to change dpi that much,u just change it to 159.Even than all themes will work and it will not make any difference on your stock look
Love to change density but, the main problem faced is the market compatibility issue...else 140 was too beautiful...:good:
Guys pls share if it did work 4 u also as it did work 4 me
oh? so this app is a big deal..hahahha.. been using this since the beginning of jelly bean in our O1,. working good!

Hi guys,
I didn't find ro.sf.lcd_density=240 in build.prop with ROM toolbox :crying:
Is there an other way to fix it lower ?
edit: 240 was just an exemple Yes I looked build.prop with toolbox but like u said there's nothing about density,

If your rooted you can use Root Explorer to edit the build.prop. Have you tried that?
*edit* hmm, I just looked inside there and don't see that line anywhere. It would most likely read 320 or higher also. 240 was used for 4.3" screens

I did not find LCD Density line in build.prop. When I tried using the LCD Density app to change to 320 it would not boot properly (stuck at Oppo logo). Having a more appropriate number would make this thing awesome. Hoping someone figures this out.

If many people like it, maybe Oppo will allow to change it!

Be careful with using the apps to change the LCD Density. That put my oppo into a boot loop. I did not see a line with LCD Density in the build.prop. I wonder if we can just add one.

As long as you don't use any app to "set on boot" you should be able to play around and find a density that is stable and works. Its been suggested that OPPO add a way to change this.. we'll if they do

I read this from other apps, not from this one. I used this app on my HTC HD2 with JB before it crashed. Now I wait for my Find 5 and also would like to change the dpi. I see anyone in the Oppo forum that used a launcher with dpi changer. Look there into the Homescreen thread.

Hi everyone,
at the very end of build.prop, add ro.sf.lcd_density=xxx, I tried from 300-440 and they worked out fine. I did reboot to cwm and than simply did reboot system. To make sure the changes made are read by the phone. Sometimes earlier doing this on h7 g3, the changes were not read by only rebooting.
You have to be root and you need explorer and texteditor.

Do you mean I have to add the ro.sf.lcd_density lin to build.prop, because I can't seem to find a builder.prop file. I suppose that was a typo.

Thank you correcting this. Of cause it is build.prop in the system folder.
I corrected this now in my previous post.
cptmerget.
I don't know if this method has been already posted or not..
I was very eager to change my s2's DPI..and I could not able to find any proper and simple method..
Then I was going through build.prop and eventually I changed the DPI by editing build. prop
Here is a simple guide..
1. Open root explorer..
2. Make sure you are in r/w ..(see at the top right corner)
3.open system.
4.you can see "build.prop" ..
5.long press build.pro and select "open with".
6.choose "text editor".
7.look for the words "ro . sf . lcd _ density 240".
(In some ROM it will be at two places ..e.g neat ROM )
Edit it and type your required DPI..
8.now press the back button and select "yes".. ( this means your settings which you have made has been saved)
9.back up of build. pro will be created automatically as
"Build.prop.pak"
10.reboot.
P.S methods looks complex but it's simple to follow.
I have given step by step guide..

Thanks for your note here.
But Touchwiz is not resized properly over the screen. e.g. Dial screen only spans to around 80-85% of the screen (If I reduce the density value from 240 to 220 on Galaxy S2 Android 4.1.2) and not to full 100% like other applications. Chrome, Whatsapp, Skype etc. does works with this ..
Any idea or any solution to this ??

You should also mention not to set DPI below 182. If i remember right you wont be able to make a call with lower DPI. Didnt test myself (it was the case in earlier versions) as 182 is the perfect value for my device.

Hey,
i use a flashable zip. Download it from here: http://www5.zippyshare.com/v/RvfbVEkr/file.html
to edit the DPI, open the .zip and go to folder tmp and edit the "misc" file with a text editor.
after this you can flash it trough recovery

But I seen a few mistakes in some apps, but I don´t know if problem of Oxygen OS or DPI.
Some apps like Solid Explorer or PocketCast get default Dark Theme.
That is, even if they are placed in Light theme in settings app , stay in dark theme and I can´t change this no way. This is case of Pocket Cast.
In Solid Explorer case, it stay in light theme, but text are in white and can´t read nothing. I must put the app in dark theme to use it .
It is all very strange .

I see no prob with 380 all apps work as before and no fcs till now
I don't have any intentions to advertise, but recently I published a DPI Changer app to Play Store which by default sets DPI using local.prop method(works fine on COS12 and OxygenOS on OnePlus One) and also has an option to set it via build.prop method. I positively believe it would work for OnePlus Two too, if not I would love some feedback.

The way I did it was going in and adding the ro.sf.lcd_density=380 to the build.prop myself as for some reason it wasn't there. Then I connected the OPT to the computer and used the ADB Command Prompt (adb shell wm density 380) to change the DPI as well.
I had to do this because if I used an app to change the DPI the keyboards would screw up and be incredibly large and unusable.
Can someone please post some screenshots? Thank you in advance

Le DPI working fine in Oneplus 2 (oxygen 2.0.1) using BUILD. PROP.
thanks
my experience with the app " The DPI "
First I tried with the second function of the app (BUILD. PROP) and restarting the phone had a bootloop.
Fortunately I had a Nbackup
According to the first attempt I tried the first method off the app , rebooted and nothing changed then I tried again the BUILD. PROP and it worked!
perhaps the first method have created something away for work the second method
