Hi
The tab obviously supports printing.
But how do I add a network printer there?
I am connected with wireless. Within my network I am having an HP inkjet network printer. Connected via ethernet to the network.
How can I utilize this printer with the tab?
Anyone managed?

Would also like to know the answer to that one too

I have used PrinterShare from the Market and sucessfully printed documents. If there are any other solutions, then I would love to hear about them.
The only problem I found is its insisting to use letter instead of A4 when printing.

Hi all,
I have the SanDisk SDI/O WI-FI card in my XDA2. It is great when using a wireless access point but I am having problems trying to set up an ad-hoc peer-to-peer network using it.
I have tried all the different orders of doing this but it all end with the same symptoms.
Set up and adhoc network on my XPSP1 laptop (called ADHOC).
Set up an identicallynamed adhoc network on my XDA2.
It matters not if I use WEP or not.
The laptop/XDA2 appear to connect to themselves. The laptop just sends packets but recieves none. The XDA2 just has a red cross over a lock where the usual wireless icon is at the bottom rioght of the screen.
I appear completely unable to get them to talk to each other! Both have an IP though (I presume self assigned). Using ICS makes no difference.
Has anyone gottent his working?
Cheers - Rich
Just got HTC Advantage 7501 and am having problems connecting my laptop to DialUp Server. I checked my old set up (with BlueAngel) and there's Bluetooth Dial Up Server that allows connecting laptop via Bluetooth to the HTC as a dial up modem to the internet. At least that's how it worked with Verizon here in US.
Can somebody suggests how to deal with this case? Am I missing some drivers or anything? In short - what am I doing wrong?
Thanks!

Have you tried using "Internet Sharing?" You can connect via USB or BT...
Yes, that's exactly it, thank you!
I to Internet connection sharing, connected to internet via 3G cellular connection and hooked up laptop to Advantage via Bluetooth Network Access Point. That worked.
PAN Working?
I've been trying to get this working for the last day. My X7501 is discoverable, I can see it for other bluetooth profiles. When I try to add the device by clicking "Join Personal Area Network" on my laptop it then prompts me to search for another device. I can't see my Athena. I can see another computer that supports PAN, just not the Athena.
Any thoughts?

Check if there is a drop-down box that displays "Show computers only" and change it to "Show all devices". That, of course, if you are using Win XP
Is it possible to print from a network printer? At my office, we have a laser printer setup on a network. I use my laptop that is using wifi to print all the time. Is it possible for my ppc 6800 to do the same with its wifi connection. I am in and out of the office all the time, and do not want to drap out my laptop to print a file that I can also receive on my device.
Also, is it possible to fax a file that I receive from this device? Our stores do not have email capabilities (what century is this anyway...lol).
Thanks!
Yes, I use a program called JetCet. It has a lot of options, which include printing from network shared printers.
Hi,
Was just wondering if the polaris can be used as a WIFI adapter for PC?
i.e. using the wifi capabilities of the phone to connect to internet on the pc.
Thanks
hi I think what you are looking for is wmwifirouter - google that and will bring you to there homepage. Not only does that but can do other sort of tethering as well eg - 3g to bluetooth, 3g to pc, wifi to pc, and others.
Hmm, so with this program, basically I can connect via the following illustration?
wifi router ----wireless---> polaris ----USB---> PC?
The site you sent to me sounds moe like making the smartphone into a router.. Though, i may be wrong..
Thanks though!
hi yes it does both though i believe to do what you are asking the computer has to have internet sharing enabled someone correct me if i"m wrong, but I have done this myself when i was playing with this program and had it working although i have only done this once as i use the program to make the polaris a wifi router.
I have a unroot my touch 4G, also my wife unroot G2 both with "unlimited" internet, a laptop and a wireless hp printer, but I have not internet service at home like comcast or uverse, only from my phones. So to connect my laptop most times I turn on portable hotspot in my phones or I can use EasyTether but can't use my printer wireless.
So the question, is there any way to wireless connect my printer? is there any App that can help me?
thanks in advance!!!

You have to connect your printer to the wireless network. your printer isn't connected to the phone's AD-HOC tethering.
Ok, but how I do that and where, in the laptop or phone?
Sorry but I an totally new at this

I don't know you'll have to refer to your manual. I don't use wireless printers.
