just looking for some info on re-calibrating the battery. i know there is the option for wiping battery stats or something under ra recovery, what exactly does this do? and when should it be run? while battery is 100%, 0%?
just wondering as my battery seems to not be holding charge aswell as it used to..
thanks
From what I've read to calibrate the battery power down the phone, pull the battery put it back plug it in and leave it off till the LED turns green.

many thanks
This has been happening on the stock rom as well. And also whichever rom I'm using, the battery will not update or show how much it has drained. Sometimes ill even have 8% before the phone shuts off and it wont turn back on. Wtf is going on?
Also the battery while charging will.not update and the yellow light will still be on and the phone will state that it has a current charge of whatever I had when I plugged it in. It wont update unless I restart the phone. What's the matter folks?
Thanks

Back when i had my cliq, this would happen alot. The problem is simple.Simply do the following:
1.Fully Charge phone
2.boot into recovery while plugged in (through ROM manager)
3.Go under advanced then hit wipe battery stats.
4. unplug your phone and let the battery drain completely
5. once the phone is dead, keep trying to boot it for a few minutes(ensuring there is no charge left in the battery)
6. Fully charge it(try no to use it while it is charging)
And once its fully charged, things should be fixed and you SHOULD see better battery life.
Please post questions in Q&A section.
Im totally at a loss here. I have tried like 5 different batteries in this thing, different chargers and nothing helps.
When it is off it just gives me a red light. Then when it turns on, it will only stay on when its plugged into the wall. When I wake it up it just shows 0% charging all the time. It never goes above 0%. When I unplug it it just dies instantly.
I've tried the same battery in another G1 and it turns on and registers that its a good battery.
I know there are some battery calibrators out there, but is this a known issue or is this a hardware issue?
Thanks for your help in advance,
Dan
Probably cleaning the battery stats may help you.

as above, u may try wiping battery stats from the recovery menu....
or maybe there's something wrong with the hardware....
Here is my cousin's story.
He was trying to upgrade this X10i to 2.3 GB through SEUS, but in the middle of the processing, screen prompt "...usb connetion lost", it was about 25% done on UPGRADING, after that he unplug the handheld, try to restart it... it only stay black with red flashing led... now we have no way to start it up again. how we can bring it back to life??
Thanks ahead for your help...we are all noobie...
Maybe coz of out of battery

Battery is too LOW, less than 1% left and your phone can't turn on and keep flashing red color when you charge it. Equal 1% left your phone COULD turn on and then turn off again. So keep charging and everything will fine.

connecting usb won't charge the phone?
Sent from my X8 using XDA App
As far as I can remember it doesn't charge in Flash mode.
Can charge through USB but low.
And Flash mode lol. Do you notice that SE told us that be sure that our phone must be fully charge or at least 50%. Flash mode eats battery too much. lol
Hi, I have flashed my phone into the Nighty CM7, I finished setting up and restoring my apps, then I wanted to boot into ClockWork Recovery so that I can backup my rom.
However I ended up with a dead reboot, its stuck at the M Logo. I waited till my battery died. I charged the phone for a night, and I ended up with the big battery sign with a QUESTION mark in it, the light beside the USB Port wont let up.
I connect it to my computer using the USB Cable, the Light beside the port lit up, but it wont charge nor boot, I tried to put my phone into RSD Mode so that I can flash my stock rom again, however it says "Battery Low Cannot Programm" and turns back off. I cannot put it into Recovery Mode by holding x and the power button.
CAN SOMEONE HELP ME? I CANT USE MY PHONE?

Ok, to be honest, this was stupid. Your first step is now get battery charged.
You have following options:
charge it in alive Milestone 2
charge it in some universal battery charger
charge it via wires (yes, it sounds risky and definitely it is not too good for battery life, but someone here successfully done it) - manual attach wires with coresponding voltage and give it few minutes - only to hold charge few minutes for RSDLite... Or you can maybe bypass battery and put wires directly on phone - but this is really risky and I dont recommend it.
Of course - best option is #1 or #2... But you can't do anything without charged battery...

it doesnt work when the battry is charged charged, thats why i waited till the battery to die untill i start over again. I have looked online and dont think this is really a battery problem~
Look at here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=19197228 - I think it's the same situation. You have to charge the battery to use RSDLite.
tl;dr Low battery = "Battery Low Cannot Program", charged battery = "Battery OK / OK to program" in RSDLite.. so...
sorry, how am i suppose to charge it? it wont charge, so i need a battery charger instead of charging it through the phone?
Yep, you can't charge your battery (in your phone) when you have bricked phone (thats why I said it wasn't good to let it die, because now you have one more problem - how to charge this battery)
And I wrote how to charge it in my post #1 - basically you have two options: universal battery charger (charger, where you put battery and it will charge it) or another (working/alive) Milestone 2...
great i got another ms2's battery to boot into recovery mode (rsd mode works too) thanks, i am a noob
No problem man, everyone makes mistakes time to time
It's good to see it solved and alive
well its still sbf-ing, one thing i notice is that its taking longer than usual, but i think it will work, thanks again
Your lucky then! I don't know anyone with an ms2 so had to go macgiver style and charge the battery directly with wires. I swear the battery has never been the same since, although every battery/system tool claims the battery health to be "good"

Maybe you should download battery calibration app?

If you're refering to me - I've done that already and no luck
I've tried every trick on battery calibration I've found on this site and google searches and it never shows any noticable improvement.
So now I'm just more vigilant with battery saving tricks
Thanks for trying to help either way
