It just keeps saying "Sync is currently experiencing problems" It happened two days ago. I try to fix with factory reset but it doesn't help.I try to sync with my friend account with no luck. Does anyone experience this problem?

Facebook sync doesn't seem to be working anymore. Others are experiencing this so I'm guessing it's the same for every GS owners.
Maybe you right, Davith.
I see other experience problems on Samsung Galaxy S facebook page.
I contact Samsung service but it seems they can't fix my problem.
I suspect that there are problems with Samsung mobile application on facebook.

first i am using built in app to sync contacts - not working
fb 1.3.1 syncing but inside contacts visible as unknown contacts with no photos...
Do not install 1.3.1 FB app!!!!!
if you do, NEVER tell it to sync your contacts.
use only the internal built in sync feature of the SGS!
Check thread #7695544 as well
Yep,
having the same issue as well..
I have the same problems with facebook and sync. How can i fix that??
just a suggestion, you can uninstall the facebook app from market
boot to recovery mode, wipe the data and also wipe the cache
then use the build in Samsung facebook app
I've given up on Facebook sync. It hasn't been working for about two weeks now. SyncMyPix is the way to go if you want to get your contacts' pictures.
Funny thing, it just started to work for me again.. Anyone else?

same here, I thought by doing some stuff like setting a new fb password, cache clearing and such I had resolved the prob, but maybe it was some general problem caused by facebook itself, not caused by any phone settings.
Well, it started working out of nowhere, let's hope it lasts ;o)

Finallyyyy,
I got crazy trying to fix that f****** issue
100% sure it was Facebook's fault
Just started working here as well. GG Facebook.
Hey all
I just had a strange problem with my Vibrant. Perhaps someone can help.
I don't know if this is the correct forum to put this in... if not, apologies and feel free to move it.
For the record I am running Vibrant9 on the phone, and everything has been running beautifully for a few weeks.
This morning, in fact, everything was running just fine. Then, all of a sudden, my phone lost all connectivity, both mobile networks and 3G. I rebooted the device, and the mobile network and 3G seemed to come back, but now it will not connect to my google accounts. I get messages saying either the account has changed, or the password is wrong for both accounts.
Web seems to be working over 3G, and I can make calls, but I cannot look up e-mail, and I get notifications saying my google accounts are failing to connect.
I'm not sure how to move forward with this, and I've never seen anything like it. I can log into my google accounts on my PC just fine, so the accounts and the passwords are OK... seems to be the phone.
I will keep looking, but has anyone seen anything like this before ? Anyone have this happen in the last 10 minutes ??
Any help appreciated.
Well I'm facing the same issue. Can't sync my mail, no apps can be.downloaded from market...its a issue.from Google.side I guess.

Until I can get 2.2 installed, I've given up on the existing gmail app that comes with 2.1. The gmail market app that is published recently is only 2.2 compatible. I've been using K9 for both gmail and my imap account and been far more pleased with it.

Really ? That's interesting. So google's mobile connections might be down ?
I can't find anything about that online... anyone else wanna weigh in ? Is this just a problem for every android handset ?
How frustrating.
Are you able to log into gmail on a computer? I had that same message the other day. Wasn't able to connect, my account had changed or password was wrong. Turned out, at 4 am there was spam sent from my gmail to 5 of my contacts. Gmail caught it and made me revise my password. After that, all is back to normal with market, gmail, etc...
Good thought, but I can actually log into gmail from my phones browser just fine with the same address and password.
Still have the same problem. Can log in to my mail using the other android email app. Just not the default app. Market broken, and anything needing that google account.
If others aren't having the problem, then it must be me, but I'm damned if I know what it is.
Might try restoring my nandroid backup.
Any other thoughts?

Odd. That may be your best bet...
Hi I just started having the same problem as well. Computer based gmail is working fine, but I can't access my two accounts through the gmail appand my mobile network connection seems to be down.
Edit: mobile network is back, but my accounts still aren't connecting.
Ok I just resolved this problem. Guess how?
I restored the nandroid backup that I took yesterday. Working fine now.
And what has changed since I took this backup? Only that I installed the overclocking kernel released yesterday... Could it be that?
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA App
Ok strange new symptom.
My nandroid backup doesn't replace the kernel, so I'm still overclocked and still running the new kernel.
However, since restoring now my google accounts seem to work (market ok, voice ok etc.), I can receive email, but not send it.
This is really troubling. Anyone have any similar problems, or ideas?
EDIT : The kernel I flashed yesterday is "[KERNEL] [2.6.29] [Flashable-.zip] [BFQ] [Oc] [Uv] #1 "Finally" '9.8 Linpack!'", which as far as I can tell is the only difference since this started happening.

Well I'm still facing the same issue. Can't sync my mails, unable to download apps from market and no friendstream either. So whts wrong guys? How should I resolve this? i uninstalled the updates from gmail and somehow it started working for few hrs but now again its dead :/...

Hi.
Bought my Samsung Vibrant a few days ago and I have not been able to log in to my google account. Due to this I have not been able to use any app or game...
Can someone please guide me on how to resolve this issue? I will be really greatful!
Thanks a lot!
I today updated Google Maps to version 5.0 from version 4.7. However after that update Google stopped syncing Google services like Mail, Contact etc. Pressing the sync button seems to do nothing.
I then went to applications settings and deleted cache etc for both Gmail & Mail storage. Then trying to sync gave a message that it was syncing but nothing happened. Even gtalk would just close on starting. I rebooted the phone to check if the problem goes away but it didn't help.
Finally I went to applications settings and deleted Maps update which went to stock version 4.1. and then finally rebooted my phone and voila sync started to work again.
So anybody can confirm this problem on Wildfire.
Sent from my HTC Wildfire using XDA App
I think the problem is not with the update but running low on internal memory. When my memory is low and low memory alert shows on the statusbar syncing of google services stops.

Running Uxlyon 4.2.2 rom (Aug 8th) and i'm not entirely sure if its the facebook app or something else, but dont seem to get any push notifications from neither the main app nor the messenger application. Found my self checking the FB app to find out i've missed a messenger txt from someone. Was wondering if anyone else is having the same issue.
Did you restore facebook from a backup? If so, try reinstalling it from Play Store

Yes that was the case, re-installed and its working at intended now.
Hi everyone,
this is probably not an issue related to the OPT, but I wanted to make sure whether other users are experiencing this as well. Since a couple of weeks ago, my Gmail is no longer properly synching my emails. Sometimes they come in in time, sometimes I have to sync manually. I already found lengthy threads on this topic in the Google support forums, so this seems to be a problem that started with a recent Gmail app update, as other users are experiencing it as well.
Are any of my fellow OPT users also experiencing this? It doesn't seem to be a general synching problem, as other apps don't seem to have an issue receiving push notifications.
Cheers!
Try Clear Data one Gmail app & enable automatic Sync ON in the Settings

Thanks, I have tried this multiple times already. I even did a complete clean reinstall of the system. It's not related to that. Also, the bug that Gmail doesn't communicate with the server properly when deleting an email has been occuring continuously for months, and there doesn't seem to be a solution to this.
I also got the same problem - on CM13 and Oxygen. I think its an Google Bug.
Me too. Stock.

I reverted back to the stock version of the app, though I'm note sure whether in OOS 2.2.1 this version already contains the bug. We'll see.
