Does the Desire Z have video out?
What are my options for using the Desire Z to make powerpoint presentations?
Desire Z has DLNA. Also, If I recall correctly, HTC is going to release a new adapter that does Micro USB -> Micro HDMI.
The Desire Z does not have a 'dedicated' video out port, sadly.
HTC are releasing a box which you can plug into your TV, then you can do DLNA to the box. There is information about it on the forums somewhere.

You can use DLNA to stream video via WiFi to a DLNA-enabled TV or by using an adapter
Check the Users Manual, pag 167.
Here's the link for the manual: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=829516

will the dlna work?
Have the same problem on all desire HD builds.
As I saw on real Desire Hd it is started through the special dlna player.
Any tips how to fix it?
playing songs from the phone on my denon 4306 works. (MDJ HD4.4 and 4.5)
Any news on the hdmi video out feature? Also why cant we use the 3.5mm plug ? will we be able to after roms are availible?
Check "real HDMI" in the market.
Allows use of HDMI out, just not dual display as I believe the processor is not capable.

galaxy has also tv out kabel

NDLA, A2DP, or stream through Twonky or just watch your movies on your TV or computer?
If you have DLNA you can watch videos on TV with wireless router. I have TV connected to router and Desire HD to wireless router, and I can watch movies or photos without cable. It much better than cable.

There is also a micro usb tvout cable for the Droid incredible, why can't dhd have one?
For the dlna, the problem is not everyone have a DLNA cabilble tv, like me. And the DLNA adaptor is expensive.
And can anyone tell me whether I can watch YouTube video through DLNA ?

You can't watch with DLNA only files from phone memory. Downlad movie form YouTube and stream with DLNA into TV.
Copy files from phone to laptop -> connect laptop to TV with RGB or HDMI cable. Simply easy?

Cable would be better if you would want to see your phone on TV. You can't watch YouTube videos on TV direct from Phone.

I have an old xbox connected to my tv, which I have XBMC on. I can stream videos via DLNA to it and it works pretty well. Only thing that suck about it is that the HTC video app doesn't play well with all formats. Only wished that rockplayer would have DLNA too.
Just got my Xoom hooked up to my TV, but theres no audio on SNES. Any ideas?
Im a idiot nevermind

hehe, the M stands for Multimedia (as in more than 1 type of media ... in this case Audio and Video)
hey some HDMI also support ethernet and other stuff now (1.4) ... it really is an all-in-one cable
I couldnt find this posted anywhere else so here you go
I watched a movie on my plasma last night through my DHD via. USB cable, Im sure it would would work for most new TV's as they all seem to have a USB port in the back.
All i did was plugin the DHD to the TV via. USB cable and set the phone to "Disk Drive Mode" and a box came up on my TV saying that it had found a "Android Device" and i could watch a movie straight off it, It just had a "explorer" type menu and you can select movies, pictures or music Which i thought was pretty awesum!
Give it a go if you have a USB port on your TV, mines a Samsung Plasma about 1.5 years old. I tried to take a pic if it but of course i forgot that i cant use the camera when storage mode is on lol
NOTE: It worked fine for me but im not sure about voltages etc... it charged my phone at the same time, but i guess if you TV knows its an Android Phone like it did in my case, its probably made to be able to do it.
Nice one! I need to test this one with my Samsung tv

It's not a feature of your DHD but of your TV 'cause it has media player. Then you switch your DHD to disk mode it works like just a card or usb drive.
Yea I realize that I never said it was a feature of the phone. But is it not good to know?
