How to root htc hero

Hi guys
First I want to apologias if anyone have already open thread regarding this issue.
My problem is: I have hero - orange uk device.
with the new rom upgrade.
now i have a problem to root it again.
I cant find any way to root it... the old method don't work any more.
I search every where nothing seems to work can someone help .....
also i succeded to install the 1.4 + JF BOOT loader and flashed other roms
like modaco 2.3 but still cant root my phone .... to install fonts.

Restoring Orginal ROM

where rom for every htc and other mobile operating sytems are given for downloading .on downloading the file is it possible to install this rom and change to orginal version in case the rooting is unsuccessful. and how to install if this is possible.

Just root it. It shouldn't unsuccessful. Unless your house blown up suddenly.

i have now been trawling the net for hours searching how to reinstall my stock rom after flashing wildpuzzle, i did nandroid backup. phone has been crashing on wildpuzzle (even after turning speed down to 630) , and is annoying me, could someone please give step by step instructions or provide a link for some,many thanks in advance. or if anyone has some tips to make wildpuzzle more stable please share

[Q] HTC tattoo...suggestions and help needed please??

Well I have a htc tattoo and now I want to install a custom rom to it....main reason is to make bluetooth work...so please suggest me
1)ROM with working bluetooth and camera(if v1.6) its fine....and also tell me
2)what's the best ROM for v2.2 cause i can still sacrifice my camera
3)does bluetooth work on v2.1 and v2.2??
finally...if I want to get back to my original tattoo rom...how do i do that? I mean is there any way to backup my rom and data as well....
All the help will be appreciated...thanks in advance...please help me out with these cause I am new to android....

1. As far as I know the only 1.6 rom with bluetooth file transfer support is fyodor's 6.4.2 rom
2. I think of SPQROm and nfinity(I prefer nfinity last version cause have a graphical calibration tool)

Before do anything, you should find and download your stock rom(there is a thread in this forum and I think is sticky) and make a goldcard.
Then you'll can flash your stock unrooted rom when you like.

Hey I flashed clockworks recovery image on my tattoo...next as you said I downloaded nfinity Rom and placed on the root of my sdcard...I wiped it to factory and all...them

Then when I choose update from zip or select a zip file..within a minute I get this
E: error in /sdcard/update.zip
(Status 7)
Installation aborted
I downloaded the zip file again and repeated...got the same error
So I download spqRom and tried but got the same error
I found somewhere that I need to format my sdcard also...so I tool backup and formatted and then tried but got the same error..I must have tried some 5 Rom's by now....
Please help me out...since I don't have much knowledge about this stuff its even more difficult....

[Q] Switching Back to Original ROM

Hello friends,
I need some help regarding my HTC HERALD P4350.
Currently I have Rim1Flex's ROM "Simply Everything 6.5.1 Build 23064"
The device is HardSPL.
My IPL 4.24.0002
SPL 4.70.Yang
Now I want to revert to the Original ROM that came with the device. I found a Link on the net but it is a EXE file and when i try to update via it the update process starts and before even getting to 1 percent my device goes blank and the update fails.
So i need help regarding how to revert back to original ROM. So please point me to some guide or provide me with the procedure.

I do not know the original rom which has you using, my advice to the official rom you should look at http://shipped-roms.com/index.php?category=windows mobile&model=Herald

HY,
i going to install ANDROID in my HTC HD2.Before i;m doing this I WANT TO TAKE MY ROM BACKUP(win 6.5) is possible taking ROM backup in hd2. Please give me your suggestion .

You can download the rom from a link in this forum, just have a look around
