I'm currently trying to cancel my subscription and it just stays at the cancel subscription loading page stuck smfh I hate this app

It was easier for me to call tmo and get them to cancel it. What a piece of [email protected]#% app. Media hub would nice but its pricey.

I agree.. Thanks for letting me know tmobile won't give me **** to cancel good to know I'll call them tomorrow

I just had to cancel mobitv as well on my wifes line. She didn't use it, just mistakenly opened the app and it signed her up. I didn't even know until I called tmobile to switch out of my blackberry plan.
The rep was kind enough to go through our plans, told me he saw that service (and some subscription for a pool game from years ago), and canceled both without a problem.

You said it man! I dropped mine before the end of the trial. Its like they sat down with the sole purpose of compiling a list of the most suck t.v. and putting into an "easy to use" app. I guess if you wrap garbage up in a fancy enough package we will all give it a try.

If you don't want to install it.... don't. Sprint isn't demanding you install it.
I'm not really sure what this app dose or offers other than back up your phone and track it if it's lost or stolen. But there are a few really good apps in the market to do that for you anyway.
As for unrooting your eVo just to install a free application from Sprint..... your call, It's not needed.
Just for kicks in tried to download and install it on my eVo. Sprints server doesn't even see my eVo as a supported model. I'm running Decks 2.3.4 rom

I have it installed and it's been fine for me. I used to have wavesecure but after forgetting to reinstall it a few roms ago I stopped caring about it.
Also, check out Cerberus, it does just about everything the Sprint app does... You can track your phone via web or text message, sound alarms, remote wipe etc.... You can even have it take a picture and send it back to you so you can see who is using your phone. I think it's like a one time €2.99 fee, or about $5. If you're still nervous about the Sprint app or don't want to pay the monthly fees for similar apps it's the way to go.

I'd be very wary of this app, here's why:
1. Whois entry uses Domains by Proxy, would Sprint do that? Probably not...
check out who.godaddy.com/whois.aspx?domain=tepdl.com for the WHOIS
2. A quick search of "tepdl.com" on the sprint.com site yields only results from the community BB, you'd think Sprint would have some "official" links to that site if it were real. There are some really distressing results, here's a quote from one
"I just bought a LG LS970 and downloaded a protection app through Sprint that was LINK:tepdl.com. Once downloaded, it took all my contacts and wiped them out. Can anyone tell me how to get them back onto my phone and if this was truly from Sprint? It was sent from them so I it was. Please help me." (LINK:community.sprint.com/baw/message/575630?tstart=0)
I think it's a phishing app.
Does this sound fishy or does anyone know any truth to this?
Thought I would check eBay for some unlimited data plans and I found some.
I eBay searched "Verizon unlimited data"
A couple sellers are selling current contracts and claiming that they will somehow put them in your name. Is this possible? Maybe they work in tech support?
One other seller is claiming that their company is the only one in the US that can add a "VIP data plan" to new or existing customers.
Any knowledge or feedback is appreciated. Check out the auctions and see what u think. FYI I am a new VZ customer still in the cancellation period.

It is possible to transfer a name to another person's account. Its called an AOL (Assumption of Liability). However, ever if the person's account you are transferring to is in good standing, I'm pretty sure you'll still need to pass a credit check to be eligible to take it over.
AOLs are pretty popular due to some people wanting to get out of their wireless contract without paying the ETF by giving it to someone else. And others will be happy to take them over due to having grandfathered features no longer offered to brand new accounts such as unlimited data with Verizon Wireless.
Thanks Nerdydesi. Ant thoughts on the second option?

How to get Verizon Unlimited Data without going through loop holes
There's a better route!
Email this guy verizon.unlimited.data @ gmail.com
ask him about a VIP Pass which will get you unlimited data
He's hooked up several people on XDA with Unlimited Data and he's legit!
Thinking about getting one
BigMiggen did you buy it yet? I also contacted this guy on Ebay about the unlimited data plan, no answer as of yet.
No not yet. I got the double data at 4 gigs and want to see how much I'm actually gonna use first. Watching Netflix looks like the only way to go over for me. I might email that guy and see how much he wants.

Anyone try this? I'm grandfathered on two lines but might come in handy to add a 3rd. Now if he could hook me up on an unlimited data only plan for a xyboard 8.2 I would have his babies lol.

Just sent an e-mail his way, keeping my fingers crossed. 4G LTE does not deserve to be limited!!! Coming from ATT unlimited, I'm starting to miss it. As much trouble as they gave me.
By the way, went into a Verizon Wireless store today and attempted to get the rumored unlimited tether plan (even though I'm not grandfathered) from a rep who said it would work - they attempted to add said plan and continued to receive an error. After calling into Verizon Customer Care, the rep on the line confirmed it's been disabled. So even if you are able to fool some rep, if they attempt to put it in, their system will throw an error.
I emailed him 10 days ago. No reply.

Okay I found out how to get the unlimeted everything for $99 a month. I will make a new post on how to do this once I get my first bill. It works for new and existing customers. Existing customers can early upgrade without penalty as well.
The company has a business plan they put you on and bill you directly. I will update and put a link to the new post once I get my first bill from them to make sure it's legit. Although I am typing this on my new s3 they sent me for $150.

Verizon are expensive, doubt they'll let something like that fly.
Well after probably 3 years of getting a 23% discount from my previous employer sprint is now asking for employment verification. So the one thing that was keeping on sprint will now be lost on Sept 26th. Looks like it's time to make the switch to Verizon. Anyone else get the message asking for verification or is it just something they do after x amount of time?

I have been getting it for about 3 years and no questions yet
I got a message on the website that I assume is about that but it was very cryptic.
Your Sprint service discount requires proof of eligibility, which you may be asked to provide to continue participation in the program.

I assume it is talking about the employee discount. Where did you see a date mentioned?
I got a text message telling me to go to www.sprint.com/verify. On that site lists the date.

This is something that they do randomly. They have always done it in one fashion or other. I had to do it a couple years ago, and they just called me.
Sent from my SPH-D700 using xda premium
I got the text yesterday, and gave them my e-mail, but I still have yet to receive that e-mail on my work address.
Yeah, for the first 10yrs i had sprint, I was on a retail employee plan ($15 a month) even though i hadn't always worked in retail. they called me twice in that 10yrs asking about if i was still working for xxxx and that there were "better" plan options now etc. With t-mobile going back to truly unlimited data, i may be switching....
I got it too yesterday and have had the discount 2 years (didn't know about it earlier as I had a military discount until then).
On another forum, a Sprint CSR is advising you only need to re-verify when you *upgrade your phone.*
Sprint inadvertently sent out the text to everyone. I just got another text today:
"We unintentionally sent you an SMS message yesterday regarding your Sprint discount. Please disregard. No action is needed."
Got another text today indicating yesterday's text was an error and no further action was needed.

I got one as well. A message when I login to Sprint and then I got a text a few days ago. However I am legit so I can verify my discount
So like... you're complaining and want to switch carriers because for three years you've been getting a discount for a company you haven't even still been employed with, and Sprint wants verification rather than just letting you continue to get a discount that hasn't applied in years for you?
Go to Verizon. You deserve to pay more.

That's the thing if I wasn't getting this discount by the time I applied my current employers discount for Verizon I'd be paying less just not unlimited data, which is fine for me because I'm on wifi 70% of the time anyway.

Regardless, you are essentially stealing from Sprint... and whether they know that or not, their profits are hurt by it. I can guarantee that you're not the only one, so while your impact alone may not be much, every thief adds up. Losses like that are always passed on to the customer, so you are slowly but surely hurting the rest of us. Thanks, buddy

Went in to get my S3. After 45 minutes that can't figure out how to put it on my SERO account. They told me to comback tomorrow when they can call for help. wasted time and gas to the only corporate store in san diego, and the chick that wanted to buy epic has to wait now cause I need this for work. They should have been able to call into their own service department to figure it out right then or there. Seems like bad CS to do that to you. Though I'm not entirely surprised.
I also am on SERO Premium. IMHO, you should ask to speak to Account Services, they are usually the ones who had been most helpful when I had to deal with messes involving SERO.
well I'm going back tonight we'll see what happens

Upgrading to the E4G on SERO was a nightmare, which took me to 3 different stores and none of them could do it. You might have an easier time just finding out what the employee services phone number is and ordering through telesales. Let us know what happens, please.
I also have a SERO account and I have problems going to a Sprint store to buy/activate new phones as well. Go to Best Buy. For some reason they can do it with no problem... Radio Shack can't do it either.

How long ago was this and where? Best Buy was the first place I tried for the E4G and they were totally unable to do the upgrade. That was several years ago, I'd be surprised if anything's changed.
Go here: http://community.sprint.com/baw/community/buzzaboutwireless/plans
Or email [email protected]
Those have been set up by sprint to handle SERO account service questions, and handle upgrades, etc. I wouldn't bother with a store unless you are willing to take the time to educate the salesperson yourself. I've done that once or twice, but it's never been worth it.

I have been doing this for years. Just as recent as last year when I upgraded to my epic touch and in Aug when I added another line. I live in Southern California so I don't know if that matters.
