How do you find out what version of Sense you are running on your phone?
Go into settings>about phone>software information.
Hmm.
What number.
Android version = 2.2
Baseband version = 15.42.500 blah blah
Kernel version = 2.69.32.15r7.6...
Build Numer = Mdeejay Froyo Next Sense
Software Version = 2.7
Browser version= Webkit 3.1
Can't see the sense version
I believe if you're running Android 2.2 or 2.2.1 then you will be using sense 2.5 as it's also the latest.
I don't think it is that simple. For example the Latest desire bravo rom has a latter version of sense than the latest evo rom.

anyone have any suggestions... i need one thats kinda stable with not a whole lot of lag with primo features... =]
thanks in advance.
moved from development
MLIGN 3.2b is really fast and pretty stable in my opinion.
Hero ROM= MLIGN 3.2B but you need to flash twisted deport 1.0 right after flashing the ROM. no wiping in between. You can find the twisted deport in the MLIGN 3.3 thread.
Eclair ROM = KingKlick's latest 2.1 ROM or OpenEclair's latest 2.1 ROM. Very fast and stable and they both got a 99% working nexus launcher (all it is missing is the 3D roll effect) but they both have all the problems of an eclair ROM for the MT3G/g1. no camcorder or video playback since the drivers aren't released.
My Wife is running the gingerbread leak version 2.3.3. What rom will work with this? What is the best rom thats stable and the most used basically. Will I have to sbf back to froyo or is there a rom that works with gingerbread
2.3.3 isn't specific enough to answer. All three leaks are all Gingerbread, but the build numbers are different. They go as follows: 4.1.5XX (or something along those lines). Each are referred to as 588, 591, and 595. The ROM will specify which version it takes. A ROM that comes to mind is Apex 2.0.
Hi,
I'm using HTC Magic 32A motherboard
Android 2,2 version
Kernel Version : 2.6.35.4 cyanogenmod+
Mod Version : CM6-FroyoRedux-v1.9.5
Base Band version : 62.52s20.18H_3.22.20.17
I want to upgrade to Android 3.0
any one have idea how to do? please let me know.
Do you want a working, stable phone? If so then stay away from 3.0 till its more than just a proof of concept sdk port.
But somewhere buried in xda is zfreak and yoshua's honeycomb port. If you really want it, try that. And dont complain when its buggy as hell
thanks for your reply. what do u think for my device
Android 2.3? is it good. in my current version 2.2 Google voice call function is not available. how can i install that
I use ezgingerbread as my daily rom. Light and fast android 2.3.4
I fear this question may not make a lot of sense... but here goes.
Do developers use accurate firmware numbers in their builds?
For example - [ROM] Bionix-v 1.3.1
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=925548
Shows as a firmware version of 2.2 -> so basically with this rom I am on a "better version" of froyo.
Where as [2.3.5] Trigger - 08/04/11
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1156123
Shows up as 2.3.5 (gingerbread).
Is that correct?
I guess im just having trouble comparing rom versions to their official counterparts.
I think you are very confused on how you are reading this.
Is it possible to put sense 3.5 onto android 2.3.3 becuse i have run other ROMs with 2.3.5 and old version of sense2.1 and all have the wifi/data problem, but I have been running an old DUNGHP ROM with 2.3.3 with Sense 3.0 for the past week and I have had perfect wifi/data switching and the ROM is fast. But I cant find 2.3.3 with sense 3.5, so yes or no?
