[Q] G-Trigger like Software for Android? - Android Software Development

Dear Guy!
After Leo can experience a lot of Andriod builds, I tried to find some useful softwares like on WM.
A lot of Android software do much better than WM, however, I miss some software like G-Trigger on WM.
The information of software is here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=494267
and
http://g-trigger.kneps.com/
Does any one know the other software that can do a incredible thing like this?
It is my 1st priority software that I have to install every times I flashed my WM phone.
Please suggest me, if you know which software can do.
Thanks in advance.

Noone know or nothing about it?

Search for "Tasker" in Market. It has the ability to do "Tasks" for Gestures. Never tried it for that particular feature though.

Touch Flo v.3.0 available on HD?

Simple question.
I've read about the new features of the 3rd version of Touch Flo (on the upcoming HTC Touch Pro 2 and Diamond 2) and they are quite interesting.
I just wondered whether by any chance this new version could be installed on the HTC HD (once it's out of course)
Thx
there are already tons of custom roms with this new tf3d
Oh! I wasn't aware of that... have an example so I can test it?

Think the list is endless. Go to ROM's development forum and seach. I'm currently using Duttys 2.5 Xtreme, though Laurentius & Davideuck are just as commonly used

well... i always do my home work before posting, that is why i did ask question...i could not find any cab, and believe me i spent hours looking throughout our gigantic forum...
if u know location where such cab is hiding from my eyes please share it with us.
There is no "cab" install and there never will be.
This isn't just an application you install on your phone - it's a complete system overhaul, with new TF3D, with all new and / or updated system applications: phone, calendar, contacts, call history, calculator, browser etc.
Let me illustrate however the difference between the stock ROM and the custom cooked ROM's available here on XDA. It's like going from Skoda to latest Ferrari.
That means you'll get a lot of great looking stuff, many cool applications already included, everything will be as new as possible, you'll be running at MUCH faster speed, but you also have to accept that you'll "burn more gas" - battery life may take a small impact.
Is it worth it? Well, it's like you bought a new device, so - yes.

If you flash a ROM that already includes the new manila it will probably be alot smoother because the ROM will be optimized and tweaked for it! If you install it over the old Manila it probably won't give you the best experience... Also, the newer ROMs not only include the new Manila, but also things like finger-friendly menus!
really is that true???

I'm pretty new to all this as well and had a lot of difficulty figuring it out! What I think happens is this: The ROM is a bit like the BIOS so you can't modify it within WM6.1. Also, the original ROMs are protected so you can't replace them with an unofficial version (they are signed).
To get around this, you can use something like Hard SPL (which overwrites the existing ROM) or USPL (which works around it).
I finally went with USPL2.5 and Dutty's extreme ROM v2.6.
Incidentally, I'm not really noticing much of a speed improvement... Especially with the music player which now takes a second to load up... Am I meant to?

HTC Touch2 T3333 - WinMo 6.5 buggy

I purchased a WinMo 6.5 prof based HTC Touch2 T3333 and I'm facing quite a few performance problems.
TouchFlo takes a lot of time to load when the phone starts, any way to reduce it? Scrolling is VERY sluggish, again I have no idea why. The Microsoft Tag application I downloaded hangs the phone every time I use it.
Also, I "bought" the Bing app from the web interface of WinMo Marketplace, the app isn't showing up on the phone's Marketplace app.
It seems that the ROM that is on the phone might be buggy, is there a 6.5.3 build available for the T3333 and if not any stable build that isn't throwing random tantrums that you can point me to?
Thank you
Since there is no HSPL available you cannot install custome Rom...and HTC did not release an update yet....
You could consider a hard reset......after backing-up all data and programs!!!
Although after a soft reset .....touchflow is sometimes indeed slow.....but never more than say 15-30 seconds to start-up.....
thanks for the reply. can i install htc sense?
Not possible for the moment......
Look also here...http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=628064
Keep following the forums.....perhaps something will move in future....
damn. I'm feeling disappointed since there is nothing I can do about the buggy-ness of the OS. thank you for the replies though
Hard reset......but back-upfirst....!!
Did that no change.
Ok, last resort of help is HTC service, call them with your problem and when approved they pick up your phone, hopefully fix and return.......had to do that ones aswell......
Succes

If You want, You can try something else: Install SPB Mobile Shell 3 and disable Touch Flo from the item list of the Today menu - much better and quicker (in my opinion)!
my TouchFlo is loading as much as 10 second i think ... and i it is quite fast ... have u tried tweaking it ? Diamond Tweak , Advanced configuration tools , SKTools ... there are many settings about the touchflo etc like how much force u have to use to slide ... and many many more i'm sure u can speed it up !

Non flashed hd2 What programs/app do you love to use?

Hi all.
I was a bit reluctant to start this thread but as I was getting nowhere I thought I needed to and I'm sorry if there are other threads out there similar to this and if it upsets you i wanna say that was not my intention.
Great forum, I'm sure everyone appreaciates every little effort that's goes into this project so thanks for your hard work..
I am new to the htc hd2/winmo and I'm glad I have chosen this over the iphone. I have been a big fan of nokia/symbian o/s devices
As i have had my hd2 a week now - i have only upgraded it to the official 1.72 tmobile rom frOm the htc site. I want to stay away from flashing hd2 for the timebeing as I want to experience the hd2 as it is.. I'm all in favour of flashed/cooked Roms so I'm confident I will eventually
i just want to ask can someone guide me or give me a list of programs/ applications preferably foc (not marketplace) I can install onto my hd2 as I'm abit confused whether most programs need a customed hd2 prior to installing?
And Also are the below programs suitable for this? I have used the search function before some says.
Bsb tweaks
Cookies tab editor
Tcpmp player
Resco/ total commander file explorers and registry editors
.net compact framework 3.5
Skyfire
I would be grateful if someone can take some time out to answer what programs/apps you use and if they will work for a non custom hd2
Many thanks in advance.

No you don't need a custom ROM to use applications.
All those programs will work fine.
Google freeware pocket pc on your phone, then download Omarket to your phone, then you will have plenty of apps with reviews to choose from.
If you dont like one all you have to do is un-install.

WP7 downgrate to wm6.5 ??

Is it possibile to downgrate Phone with mp7 (like HTC trophy) to WM 6.X ??
I also like that, windows 7 sucks
You guys kinda bought the wrong phone then huh?
You guys are kidding right?
what ever you think, i'm just asking.. i'm just wonder is it possible to do somthing like that.
Most likly not, this would be due to drivers not written for the hardware in windows 6.5. How people have got around this in the past is to find hardware from other phones that have run the OS you are after and porting the drivers into a package you can use on your phone, there isn't really any other phone of this type that has run windows 6.5 hence my answer.
Why do you find 6.5 better than 7, is it more software, more hacks, better interface?
Personally I find I can't do much on Windows 7 at the moment but also understand the market needs to be built, the amount of settings is very limited but that is more of a mindset.
for me wp7 is ok, not so much softwere - no problem. The most important thing for me is my broker soft, it's writen for .Net compact and i can't run it on wp7 :/
I agree,
It is really that all the apps that I had on the WM6.5 and used to no longer work with WP7. I understand that this is a new OS, but still I will agree with the people at the top. I was a little hasty in purchasing it, and in hindsight, I should not have.
Another way, if drivers are an issue, is has anyone ever tried to flash a Trophy with an Android rom, or is this completely insane?
Wp7 device HTC 7 Mozart
Q1. Is there PIMBACKUP for WP7 so i can restore my wm6.1 contacts to WP7 device? so desprate dnt have all contacts either on fb nor on any other web account email etc. don't know what to do.

Return the phone if you hate it that much, a downgrade to WM 6.5 is not possible.

its plausible. but will need great amount of Dev Support.
You need to write drivers which should be compatible with Dell Hardware.
That will be the biggest challenge...after its done the hardware can handle the OS flawlessly...
I know Cotulla would be a good person to ask this.
It's been a while since last post on this thread, but I will ask again. Is there a possibility of this happening. I am a long time windows mobile user, last phone was HTC Touch Pro/Titl 2 (I have both). 6.5 was great, I wanted more speed. Got DVP, great hardware, software absolutely sucks. Need to go back to WM 6.5. Wi-Fi Sharing, Email refreshing every 15 minutes, not using acceleration and light sensors to its fullest extent, not being able to save stuff on file system, not running WM 6.5 apps, list goes on and on.
Any ideas anyone ?

hi
i have done some inquiries to this matter some time back. and it seems it is possible but difficult. nobody is interested in wm anymore, except for few guys like you and me. most of the capable devs who could make this possible are not interested in wm anymore and too busy with android and wp7. as the previous reply suggests why dont you pm cotulla? he might be able to give better advice. or the next best thing you could do is trade your DVP to a hd2, which is the best phone around running wm. but minus the keyboard. and have you tried wp7 with the mango update? doesnt it support most of previously missing functions?
I can sell DVP and probably even make money on it as I currently reside outside of the US. WP7 has taken away a lot of features. Mango was a little improvement from 7.0, but still has a long way to go. The IMAP email refresh 15 minutes is horrible, I use phone as internet connection backup, WM6.5 apps don't work, I have some of my own apps I wrote, those don't work of course. WP7 looks great and works great for a regular Joe Shmoe, but for me as a business user it doesnt cut it. It's really not worth it for me to sink in so much time into this. PM'ing the guy who knows about this won't do any good, not like he is going to sink in weeks of his time into it, you know. I will go back to my Tilt2/TP2, Titlt2 for use in Latin America, TP2 on T-Mobile while in US, Titlt2 also gets use on At&T networks in US. Probably looks like for me to get some more speed need to invest in a pair of HD2's AT&T and T-Mobile radio frequencies. They will do 2 things I'm missing now: faster browsing + ability to zoom-in using Multi-Touch. If you find out of any new phones that would make me happy (HTC HD2 + keyboard LOL) pls let me know. DVP running WM6.5 would be a damn good phone though . Thanks for input !!
ok...gud luck with your work..will let u know if i come across any news..
