Disable slide lock, but keep pattern lock?

I found numerous threads about this by searching, but no solution. Surely there's a way to disable the slide lock mechanism so that the phone goes straight to pattern lock...? I found widgets that will remove both, but not just the slide one. I'd prefer to do this without root, but also would be interested in how to do it if root is the only method.

Bump...is this just not possible rooted or otherwise?

I hate to have to slide lock and then pattern lock. Wondering this myself.

CM 7 has the pattern lock screen with no slide to unlock. You just press the unlock button on the top of the phone, and it goes straight to the pattern unlock screen. You do the pattern, and the phone is unlocked.

I'm using Azrael 3.1 and all of a sudden my slide lock screen is missing. I rely need this in case my phone rings and might answer when pulling phone out of my pocket.

as in you have no lockscreen? or its the stock android one that you slide it to the right?

you either need the vanilla lock screen fix or just redstart your phone.

It was the lock screen that you would slide down. But the reboot did the trick, it now is back. Thanks a ton.

Hi, so on my Droid 3 Stock GB/ Motoblurr I could set a lockscreen pattern, and put a delay. So if I lock the device, and then unlock it within 3 minutes of locking it, I would have to slide to unlock it, but would not need my passcode. Is there a way to do this with a tweak maybe, I can delay the pattern but then I do not need to slide it, which I would like to do.

Any way to disable the swipe up required before getting to the pattern unlock? Ideally I'd like to wake the phone and have the pattern unlock screen be the first thing that comes up like i had in 5.1..1. Im not fan of fingerprint

Problom whis lockscreen?

A bit annoying if you change the way the device lock pattern , then still have to "slide" the lock screen and then u see the pattern lock... in the old galaxy its not like this..
In old galaxy u see only the pattern lockscreen whisout to slide...

Same problem.
Whenever im going to unlock tha phone, the option is to slide to unlock. Though im using the pattern and Fingerprint lock. But still whenever im about to unlock, the slide to unlock exist and people could unlock my phone. Maybe sammy doesn't know this problem.

Any solution on these?

I have slide to unlock on mine but when you use it, you then have to either enter your pin or use fingerprint, It doesn't just let you into the phone does it ?
