All the complaints about the EVO. I for one have no problems with it and I see all these whiners about everything wrong with theirs, take it back it it is bad. Stuff happens and it is not the end of the world.
I've read throught everyone's drama from sd card, to light leakage, screen lifting...etc.
I can say I must have got one that is perfect because not once do I have these issues.
If your phone is defective take it back......I think the majority of folks have not probs and the few that do you just got bunk units.....
No problems here
That is the problem with forums right? You only hear people talk about the bad stuff... there is no reason to post if nothing is going wrong. Do you go to a town hall meeting to say that nothing is wrong with your neighborhood?
75% of the posts are posted by the 5% of the people that have problems.
BTW... I am in the 95% that has little to no issues. Most of my issues are getting used to Android.
I agree +1 for you

All you have to do, is not read our complaints. You just stated that you read through them all yet nobody forced you to do so. Not reading something that bothers you on a forum devoted to discussing EVRYTHING having to do with a device, is even easier than just returning a phone. Some people have returned their Evos, only to get a 2nd and even a 3rd one, all having some or all of the same issues.
I purchased my phone at RadioShack on a new contract. If I return my phone right now then I'll need to start a new contract somewhere else and keeping my number is not 100% guaranteed since I've already ported it from another carrier. My number of 10 years matters more to me than any one phone. So right now I have a phone that keeps resetting along with the build issues and nobody in the LA area has any in stock to just go switch out.
No it’s not the end of the world and that why I'm not screaming this from my rooftop. I'm here on a forum devoted to this device, talking about this device. How on earth this could upset you or anyone else is beyond me.......If I switch to another device, I for one, DO want to read all the comments about that device; the good and bad.......
EDIT: Okay I could be wrong here but I’m guessing this is about all that silly Android vs. Apple kinda stuff? You know the don’t make Android look bad by talking about a bad experience. Guys! This is a forum to talk about the devices we use. We don’t know the number of bad Evos that are out here and so to say the number is 5% is just a guess based on what? For some of us it’s not a big deal, but for others, they have spent their hard earned dollars on what they hoped was a high end superphone and they have every right to come and “*****” about it having major issues as you have the right to ***** about them *****ing. Is this really the way Android using folks treat one another?!

Haha! +1 on that!
I have not had any complaints but then again if people dont post their complaints how will the rest of the people know that it is an existing issue? example: I had the Hero and the button was peeling, I thought it was me, but it was a defect.
I agree that many people post the same issues over and over and maybe there should be a sticky that shows current defects etc but until then I would not want to see the complaints disappear.
Oh I do have a complaint. Take a photo at size 300kb or higher and send mms. It shrinks it to 10kb to 20kb which is nearly icon size. See if I did not state this it would never get fixed. Apparently this is a Evo only issue and Sprint has gotten several complaints but until more people call and complain about it, it will be pushed under the rug.
Huge screen, 8 megapixel camera and sends itty bitty MMS pictures.
Sorry for raining on your parade, but we paid for the phone too. If we have issues with the device, we're more than welcome to point them out. The only way problems get fixed is when they get pointed out to the companies responsible.
I thought the same thing till my evo started having all the same issues reported. If HTC could make a product without major issues the forums would not be this way. I will never buy a HTC phone again. The screen lifting issue and screen touch issues pushed me over the edge. Your evo is not perfect. All evos have the touch screen issue. Test it out. Some say they dont have the issue but they are holding the phone or have it plugged in. Unplug your phone, set it down and try this without touching the phone.

yea im getting alittle tired of the Anti-Evo trolls myself!!
Ive been using HTC since i had the htc wizard and honestly it seems that everyone is overlooking all the Positives...if your looking for a phone that supposedly is the best ...and i use that term very loosely...go get a iphone..I love the Htc evo and frankly people need to stop hating and overcritizing this seriously awesome phone..i mean **** its been out for less than 2 week lol...
The main issue its people are dumb and would rather ***** than fix their problems. Obviously there are bad units, this is to be expected. If you get one, it sucks, but take the ****ing thing back and get a new one. None in stock? Have sprint order you one.
No need to complain, fix the problem and get on with your lives.
Some people in other threads sound like the engineer from htc is out front dumping salt in their front lawn spelling out screw you. This happens in every launch including the iphone. The genius bars are packed for a reason.
If you want the iphone, great get one. Nice device. This its an android forum don't expect much sympathy nor do most of us care what device you get.

Really? So let me get this straight: just because we notice something wrong with the device we paid hundreds of dollars for, we're 'anti-evo trolls'?. That's just moronic.
Why are some people trying so hard to come up with some reason with HTC's mistakes? It's their fault these errors exist, so it's them that need to fix it. They're just another company trying to take money from your pocket. They don't care how loyal they you are to them. In fact, it's even better because they know you'll buy their products no matter how faulty they are.
Also, hardware issues are NOT the only problems with the Evo. People are frequently pointing out software issues with the device, issues that will never be corrected by a simple exchange at the store.
Furthermore, I don't understand why everyone is suggesting an iPhone if one isn't happy with the Evo. You do know there are other Android phone manufacturers, right? Motorola comes to mind.

I don't mean to be rude but dude! What do you and all the other happy Evo owners (people having no issues) not understand about the glass touch screen lifting up at the bottom for those of us complaining?! Press your fingers at the bottom of the screen, just below the home key. Try pinching the glas there and now just imagine if you will, that for some of us, the glass is moving up and down and now remains above the frame. Nevermind the light leaking out, I'm talking about the glass moving! And that should be okay with us and we shouldn't come to a Evo forum and talk about it? The logic!

I couldnt agree more..its just that i feel like people are buying the evo and phones like it because its shiny and has bright gleeming colors lol..not thinking about everyday use and the fundamentals of these phones...its a phone meant to challenge us and sadly people are not preapred to deal with this lol..but thats my opinion
First of all...my EVO is working 100% correctly. Thank god.
Second i believe that the people with issues have the right to say whats going on with their phones, like stated before...they paid for something that should work right out the box. I had the same issue with an old HD2 that was a POS out the box, yet everyone else was enjoying their phone. With that being said I think what should be done is XDA should have a section in the forums labeled "Complaints & Issues" so they can all be filtered in there. Like that if we ever need to find an issue, we know where to look AND it doesn't clutter the general area with people ranting about their "light leakage" problems...

No. Just stop. We don't pay hundreds of dollars to be 'challenged' by the device. We pay for the damned device to WORK! HTC is responsible for making sure the screen doesn't fall off the frame, the touch sensor isn't laggy, and that the wifi reception doesn't suck ass. Are you fixing the problems? No, so you have no right to say the phone is meant to challenge us.
Do you think we're brain dead idiots? We aren't people to be talked down to by people who think severe hardware and software issues are no big deal. We know why we're buying the Evo, and these issues weren't part of it. As a result, we're demanding they be fixed.
By your logic, I suppose you would pay five hundred dollars for an HTC Rubix Cube only because it 'challenges you'.
I'm so tired of posts like these. "I like mine. If someone other than me doesn't like theirs then there must be something wrong with them."
Ok, Now that a brave soul has torn down his phone and confirmed the fact that our memory is there, I think that this must be the greatest device I have owned so far.
I loved my Nexus One. When I bought a Vibrant and lost the Nexus, I was really upset because I had to keep that piece of junk. (I still have it). Then I saw the G2 and had to have it.
The build quality is solid. My hinge is fine, besides I don't text while hanging from my tail so even if it was a bit loose I think I would be OK. The reception is about 3x better than my Vibrant and the wifi works at school, something neither of the two Vibrants I have had did.
Having Froyo again makes me so happy, and the fact that Cyanogen is getting one and will probably personally put CM6 on it, will make it even better.
Since we have so many complaint threads, I just figured we should have at least one thread that talked about the good things this device has to offer.
I hope to have this phone until I am ready for an upgrade.
I couldn't of said it any better homie. There's too many folks around here complaining instead of enjoying the damn phone! Now that its been confirmed that we do indeed have 4gb that makes having this phone an even better feeling.
Here's hoping for a permanent root asap! Id like to thank those who are working hard to root the G2! Good ups to y'all!

I second this.
I love my phone. Hinge isnt a big deal but if i get told it is a defect from tmo or HTC then i will replace it for a new one.
Besides this I love it. The keyboard is awesome, Music is nice and loud on the speaker, reception hasnt been a problem and I have even had some reception in train stations in NYC. The pics can be amazing in the right lighting and the vids are amazing period.
Only negative for me has to be the in-call volume... It's type low, but other then this the phone is perfect and I will be keeping this for a very long time.
You know, I hadn't made a single phone call since getting my phone. I'm more a text, email, and Gtalk kind of person. So I just called 1-800-Goog-411 to test the in-call volume. At max volume it was uncomfortably loud! I don't see how anyone can complain that the volume for calls is low.
I had a G1 and it was a great phone. Although I always felt that the G1 was a little slow.
I did have to "reboot bootloader" after getting some FCs in every app. I was downloading so many apps Im not sure which one caused it =)
I got the G2 a little worried about the 800MHz processor on the G2. But omg the phone is silly fast. This android phone is a complete joy to use. If you have any doubts about the G2 and you had/have the G1. The doubts are unfounded. The phone is amazing. I love everything about it. No problems with the hinge. Battery power is great too and I'm on it all the time. Everyone that has held it, compliments the weight and feel of the phone.
The HSPA is so fast.
I'm a lucky one to not get a loose hinge but even if I did I never txt upside down anyway lol. I never really cared for the memory as id never use up 4GB lol but its just nice to get what was promised to you and see now we do have it its a nice feeling. I freakin love the sound quality on this phone. The heavy weight from the phone and how it feels oh so nice and metaly. Anyone who's played with a Vibrant can tell u just how cheap that thing feels. Glad to be back on stock Android and glad to have bought this phone. I hope everyone else feels the same way. If not hey, u got buyers remorse haha jk jk

Looks like a lot of us are coming from the G1. It was a great phone and really got me hooked to the smartphone scene. But, I was soooooo ready for an update after a few years and the G2 has delievered! The speed and visuals alone are key traits for me.
I really dont think there is a hinge problem at all. The video with this alleged hinge problrm is no different than mine or anyone elses. If you hold the phone upside down by just the keyboard at the right angle it will slide down. the screen bezel is metal and heavy. just gravity. its a really cool design, imo. way better and much more smooth than any other qwerty kb phone I have had.
I love g2 too coming from i4. Battery was running low on couple of days but after couple of cycles it seems its getting better. The only complain I have that I am not able to sync my hotmail email.

I am glad the ***** fest has ended. maybe we can focus on important stuff now like enjoying the phone? We really need some help with root...
I'm not really sure what to with it since this backup partition is a first for me and most others. Unless we think of something super inventive.... we may have to wait on an ota? The general idea now is that froyo can only recognize 2.5 GB (well 2 really but I'm counting the the other part as radio, bootloader, spl, etc.) and/or a mirror image backup of default system on hidden partition. No one here really knows much about rooting exploits so we are all learning as we go. Just a suggestion, take a night off... enjoy your phone and help us out tomorrow, please. Like I said, no real experts here so don't feel intimidated or like you can't help because you know nothing. Those that have made roms/themes/or mods are especially needed because at least we have a background in some android/linux stuff so we're gonna have to lead the way. Also if you are new and know little, just read through the root thread and look at the past exploits that are linked in the thread to give you a general idea on what to do and how to do it. I can tell you that no one if gonna magically appear and root the phone for us. We can't continue to count on the big developers who don't have this phone and have a 100 other projects going. I wish it was that easy but I just don't see it happening. You can ask for help from some one if they are willing but its unlikely we will get more than just a few suggestions. There are folks keeping an eye on the root thread but it seems like they don't want to intervene for some reason. I think it's something like letting your kid find out how to ride a bike after you just take the training wheels off. you just have to let him do it on his own. he'll figure it out eventually. Or I could be wrong and they are all burnt out from the BBQ still. Plus, the phone's just getting released. some have waited on the retail stores to get theirs. We'll get there soon enough! I'm just glad y'all can enjoy your phones finally. I was mad the first night too but figured that it was hidden somewhere and started to enjoy the G2. This thing is so damn fast! I did get rid of the 3D drawer though. It was too tricky for me to scroll down sometimes. I'm loving the new gmail, a2sd, and other 2.2 features. The speaker sounds great too, nice and loud... also the trackpad light is cool too. the graphics on the games and lwp run so smoothly compared to my MTS. oh, the 2.2 market is freaking badass. nice to be able to see all those apps we couldn't before. the multitasking/process manager is so much better than 2.1, it's just crazy. I could keep on going but this post is long enough, hahaha! I hope to see you all in the development section soon! enjoy!

Man.... I'm jealous. I never was lucky enough to be able to use the one click root. The easiest for me was the G1 and most difficult was the MTS.
This is my first transition from WM and I dont think I could of made a better choice. Best phone I could of ever decided to buy.

There are several former nexus one users around that are really digging the phone. I can't wait to get mine tomorrow.

If you did hang from your tail, the loose hinge wouldn't actually affect you, it would benefit you as the phone itself is upside down.
So, I've had the G2 for two weeks. And I'm disgusted. I've been getting alot of issues with restarting, forced manual rebooting, and the form factor itself. At first I thought the z-hinge was alright, but now its just annoying. It falls down during certain elevation situations, and scares me ****less, because I feel like I'm gonna snap the dammed thing. -__-
I understand that the MTS has lower specs, including rom/ram and CPU, but you know what? I'm not sure I care. I kno the MTS is solid, and its a slider phone with a decent keyboard. And that's what I wanted all along. So, here's your opportunity, XDA goers:
You can trash talk my decisions, agree with them, offer advice to suit my situation, or all of the above. Seriously. I need a bit of insight. Because I'm really sick of pulling my battery to restart it, losing my save data to sporadic restarts, and feeling like I'm gonna snap the damn hinge off this phone. I'd almost rather just enjoy the fact that I have the newest phone, than actually operate it. Sad? I know it. So, opinions, go.
Thanks in advance, I suppose.
...have you done an exchange? Some people are having these problem, sure, but give it another go. However, nobody can help you out with the form factor issue.
Edit: Something that came to mind after. The new MyTouch that's coming out (what is it now, the MyTouch 4G? HD? I lost track). That's always an option if the MTS seemed worthy.
I have done one exchange. Which took the issue from just freeze screens, to both freeze screens and sporadic restarts. It just became worse.
Bump. -__-
Bad batch of g2. I've had three and only issue I ever had was loose hinge. I might go for a fourth but I'm trying not to let the loose hinge bother me. I might or might not. But lik dude said try another one. I personally will never compare g1 or g2 with the mytouch family. Its like apples n bananas

The Slide is NOT worth it. You'll regret that decision pretty quickly, I think. It's also too much @ 429.99 last I checked. Unless you're upgrading. I say exchange it for another G2 and if you still don't like it, hold out for another slider. Just please don't waste your money on the Slide, lol.
Received my fourth G2 replacement Three days ago. What a difference!!!!!!! The hinges are tight, no random rebooting, no screen freezes, no turning itself off and the reception is perhaps slightly better, These are all issues that the other three had out of the box. I know it has been only three days but this is the first one that out of the box was right. The only issue has been a dropped call and that was right after charging the battery and making the call. Since then it has been rock solid. I would recommend you go with YOUR gut feelings. Let me just add that after the third I had called TM to cancel and return the phone and the rep in Cust. Loyalty mentioned there was a OTA rolling out that would fix all or most of the issues. He indicated it would be out soon. I took a chance and while there has been no OTA i did receive a phone that is quite acceptable. Whether he was telling the truth about the OTA or not is a moot point to me. There are solid excellent working G2's out there. To what extent I do not know but they do exist.

My wife personally likes the slide's keyboard more than my G2. The reduced power or vanilla or not android install are not important to her.
I like the G2 far and away more, and I'm using the hardware keyboard much less than I thought I would now that I have swype. I like the screen res, the display is the right size, and it's faster than the N1.
I'd say if all that was really important to you was the keyboard, you could get the slide and install cm6 if you don't like the factory android install.

I'm frankly disgusted by the customer service I've received over this phone. It's horrible. I was just told that the loose hinge is a "design feature" and pretty much told to deal with it.
Never had anything but stellar CS from Tmo until now. I can't believe they won't work with their customers any better than this.

quick question....if I have OC'd my G2 (and I have) could I revert tall of it, and return it without them being any wiser????
don't do it, i had the slide and i absolutely hated it. the thing is laggy, small screen, bad camera, no live wallpapers(by default), and no development for it. the G2 has all those wonderful things and should soon be running CM6. IMO the hinge is not bad at all, i actually tried to twist the screen off the demo at work and when it wouldn't budge i decided the phone is quite sturdy.
also the G2 has been dropped twice in 24 hours and has no marks on it but the slide never got dropped and has all kinds of scuffs all over the edges, you deffinately need to keep the G2

Yes you can.
OP I personally have both phones. The G2 is leaps and bounds better than the slide. If I were you, I'd keep getting exchanges until the right one comes along. If you don't want to do that, wait until the mytouch 4g gets released publicly and exchange your phone for it.
Sent from my T-Mobile G2 using XDA App
For everyone who is doing multiple exchanges....are you doing them in store or do you have to call customer service?....Also are you getting brand new phones or are they already sending out "refurbs"?
in the 3 almost 4 weeks ive owned the G2 i am on my 5th replacement. and nothing seem to be doing well. Waiting on the replacement to come in. I love the G2 with it being stock android, but if the 5th ones does not cut it. I hate to say but have to jump ship to the MTHD. ( and i advice you to go with the MTHD not the slider) not even comparable to the G2
Overall I have had a great experience with this phone. It is fast, has great hardware, and even had some faith in Samsung for Froyo fixing some of the problems I was having with it. However, when I arrived at school today I pulled my phone out my pocket to check my text messages, and low and behold my screen is shattered internally. My phone does not have 1 scratch on it and has been babied like crazy. This is completely unacceptable for a ~$600 device meant to be transported in pockets and such. I don't have TEP but I will be up at Sprint raising hell until either I walk out of there with a new Epic or Evo.
Has anyone else had this issue happen or have any luck with Sprint fixing it?
Obviously while in your pocket it was not "babied". Phones don't magically break without a reason.

x2..not to raise any wild hairs, but you obviously bumped it up against something. Sprint will replace your screen, but for $35. And thats only if you purchased the Epic after they changed their insurance rules. If you don't have TEP and you bought the phone before that, I don't think there is anything Sprint will do for you. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
Also, I worked in wireless sales for a little while..please don't believe you are going to walk into the store and just magically get swapped out for the Evo. You will get what you have, an Epic. The Epic is an overall better phone anyway, minus the amount of dev support.
Be polite when you go into the store, thats the best way to get someone to side with you.
For what's its worth for those who aren't MOD EDIT: LANGUAGE it was an obvious hardware defect as I take extremey good care of my s***. I got it replaced on the spot free of charge.

I've been called worse, thanks for the compliment! ;D
Welcome to the forum, btw..you probably won't be here long!
What an ironic name you sport.
Congrats on your replacement, though, I guess not everyone's a cynic like us.
I think sprint honers the 1yr manufactures warrantee regardless if you have insurance or not. Just have to fall into that category of a defect or something.
I was voicing concerns over the build quality of the screen in my phone and asking if anyone else had similar experiences to find out if I am the only one this has ever happened too or if there are any known issues before going into the store. Instead people reply with smart ass emoticons . Pardon my frustration . And btw you guys must have a lot of faith in a company that mass produces millions of phones to not even consider the fact that maybe just maybe a sub standard panel was put into a phone. I take it none of you lived through the debacle that was the moment. So since no one else seems to have had any issues with a weak internal screen I shall let the thread die off.

I had 3 Moments. Nothing was wrong with the build quality of the Moment..I never had any problem with any of the 3 I owned.
Wow.. what a toolish way to go about things. My screen broke so I'm going to go yell at a sales person till I get a new one. No wonder our economy is so effed up. But cool story bro.

Kind of wish this had happened at my store, especially after the day I had today...

Yes not sitting idle while being sold a substandard piece of hardware designed and manufactured outside of the united states is what's wrong with the economy. I must be a scum bag
Edit:
Also the samsung moment has documented problems with gps, 3g lock ups, faultry graphic drivers etc... I guess I didn't. Drop my phone or d anything to b reak my screen it was in my ocket it was thoroughl lookd over and could not be attributed to negligence you people amaze me
dannyniceboi....
buy american! lol
I have seen this happen with other devices before. It's not always due to negligence.
Even if its not your fault your attitude is still out of line. If you look no one else is like.. oh yeah my screen did the same thing! You really think you should scold a company and a sales rep because they replaced your phone for free?

Who said anything about scloding. I was treated with phenomonal customer service and had no issues with sprint at all.
So, basically, I am living in israel for a year so I can have a year of grade-free religious studies and not have to worry about my gpa or take tests. The only problem is that Cell phone selection is pretty crappy.
So I went onto ebay and bought a G2 that shipped to my parents place and a buddy of mine was supposed to bring it to me tomorow but I found out today that I have the hinge problem pretty bad. (my dad showed it to me via skype)
I contacted HTC and they said I am still under warranty but they may not even replace the phone if I send it it. I can get my parents to bring it to a local repair shop and get them to just fix the spring, but the only problem with that is that they may not know what they are doing with the g2 as it is a new phone.
Normally it wouldnt be an issue to just send it it to HTC but the next time a friend is coming in from the states is early january and I don't want to have to wait that long for a phone that may not even get repaired...what would you do?
p.s. I also happen to have a friend here in israel, and although he is not proffesionally trained, he has opened up many an HTC phone. can anyone who has done the spring fix themeselves tell me if it is a particularly hard operation to do on the phone? When you are done doing it does the phone show any sign of being opened to the untrained eye? Sorry about the long post
mountain out of a molehill, you are making, my friend.
get the phone and stick with it. Your dad may not realize that this is normal for the phone.
Get the phone over to the promised land now... and then if you are so unhappy with it... fix it yourself using a thread on how to repair your own hinge on this here XDA Forums!
todah!
Thanks for the reply one thing I noticed when he showed me the phone was that it was almost exactly the same problem as this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MvHE5lZ1tCs in that the screen is a little wobly after the keyboard is deployed. Is that also normal?
Thanks for the quick response!

its normal. Its basically a non issue. I think people just expected it to be rock solid like its predecessor the G1. A lot of people took it way out of context and basically caused such a ruckus over this...
anything with hinges.. is going to be a little free to move around because.. its on hinges!!!
unless the hinges are broken theres no problem with this phone. I mean.. its not for the construction worker or for people who dont have the time or energy to treat it with some respect.. its not exactly a wimp either...
You can always tighten it up a bit to give it more "snap"...
Also.. you will find that your need for the keyboard is not as great as you think... because of the capability for voice commands and the incredible swype and gingerbread keyboards on this --- its so intuitive I rarely need the keyboard anymore.

+1 for the keyboard, i only use mine for long text messages or emails, otherwise i use swype/HTC IME keyboard.
I wasn't happy with mine at first but now I don't even notice it.
Agree with androidcues on the fact that people are making waaay more of a big deal about the hinge than it really is.
The things that are shown in the video linked above, or similar ones (like the phone opening while holding it upside down), would never even be noticed by most people. While I wish the hinge design would stay closed a little more "firmly", its an extremely minor criticism. I still quite like the design, and the general build quality of the phone is excellent.
I'm not as concerned about the loose hinge as I am about the fact that it wobbles after the keyboard is deployed

This again, as stated earlier is really a non-issue if you are normal and take care of your phone. HOWEVER, if you throw your phone around, like to sit on it, or work construction where your phone goes through hell each day, this WOULD be a problem. Personally, i dont understand how some people take such poor care of their phones .

The things the guys is doing in the Youtube video you posted, you and every other other normal person will never do in regular use. The way he is pressing the bottom edge of the screen with the keyboard deployed, or bending the top, there is no sane reason for you to ever do those things. Its just a nitpicky point discovered by somebody looking for problems where there aren't really any.
Its a self fulfilling prophecy. Like a hypochondriac surfing WebMD, the more of this stuff you read or watch, the more you are likely to find a "problem". Stop sweating it, and wait until you have it in your hands. If it really feels like its defective, then send it to HTC. You have full warranty for a year from the manufacturer, I believe.
long story short, your phone is fine, a little give in the hinge is normal.
get that beautiful piece of art to you, root it, and live it up my friend

very well said. a perfect summary of the illusion of the issue.
Thanks for the heads up guys, I think the current plan is to get the phone to me and if it really bothers me, I'll give it to my friend for surgery, I remember seeing somewhere you could buy some of those warranty is now void stickers to put on the phone to make it look like you never touched it... Can someone give me a link?
Htc will check your phone and determine whether you have voided the warranty. But...I'm betting you'll be voiding it anyhow. Just send it back the way you found it. Document recovery hboot info etc so you can find the files to flash when and if u need to. But you shouldn't and lmfao at a 'sticker'
vision...
