Attached is a working Email.apk for Exchange 2010 SP1. Most 2.2 ROMs do not have an Email.apk that works with Exchange 2010 SP1. I'm using Tayutama's 1.0.3 for captivate and it didn't work out of the box. Simply put this one in /system/app, chmod 644 it, then reboot.

Not sure what the reply issue is exactly. My problem was the complete inability to connect or sync with my employer's E2k10 server after the SP1 update.
fixed the reply issue I have with cognition roms with my work server. Now to see if any of the force closes happen otherwise
Thanks this saves me fro. purchasing an email app.

What issues are there? I connect to Exchange 2010 sp1 with no problems.
Crediting me in the first post would've been nice since you borrowed my apk I'm getting hundreds of hits a day on Google from this one, glad to see it's helped so many people. I thought it was just me.
ok this apk works fine but every few hour my email disapears and I have to set it up again.

Could this just be v 2.2.1 of the app? I know before I changed phones for the captivate back in September I had a nexus one running 2.2.1 , haven't been following that scene... could be newer. What does the version show up as in the 'manage applications' list?

My instance is that I was unable to connect at all. My colleague using CM6.1 on his Evo had a similar problem. This apk fixed both our issues. When I asked our Exchange admins they told me it was a wide spread problem with Android 2.2 and both HTC and google had been contacted.

hey i wanted to say THANKS - this fixed my sad droid1 after we upgraded to exchange 2010 sp1
for those that don't know - the droid1 with froyo 2.2 all of a sudden wants to pay attention to the security policies from exchange, and doesn't really understand them... so it just says "unable to connect". a packet scanner shows that it does connect fine, but exchange won't agree with the droid1 as to how to handle the policies.
this apk basically tells exchange "yeah ok i'll do that sure" then ignores it - allowing it to sync perfectly again.
all other droid based phones in our company sync perfectly out of the box... droid2, droid-x, the htc stuff, etc. the only thing that didnt was the droid1
now where's your donate link... i want to send you the $20 that i didnt pay for touchdown (hate their interface)

Reported the Newsroom problem. Reply: "As you know Froyo is not officially released"... ...."We most certainly will though." Just a waiting game now. Too bad it's unusable now and I have reverted back to NewsRob, which works with froyo now.
PS. maybe this thread should be moved to Nexus One Apps and Themes section?
Update: Newsroom wrote a new entry in their blog to address the issue and welcoming bug reports on Froyo. Phew!
Update #2: Newsroom just got an update. Now 2.2 compatible

HTC IME updated and working great..no voice input though...or apps 2 sd.
Well here's a new app for Froyo that wasn't possible without root on the N1 before (in 2.1)
It's called LED Flashlight for Froyo.
So yep, non-rooted users can now use the flashlight!
It's very basic at the moment, but the dev said updates will be coming. It works perfect.

Hey guys, Biff here. I happened upon a theme a few weeks ago that I really really liked. I don’t often do themes or porting of them and release them, but we don’t have this on the HD2 and I felt compelled to do so. I went ahead and checked with @ChrisSoyars @ackprash and @wootroot and they gave me the go ahead. So I’m honored to present to you Mau5 for the hd2. By no means is it perfect, but I think its good enough to release. Anyways, you likely voided you warranty long ago, so if your phone explodes… NOT IT!
*Thanks to Cyanogen, google, htcclay, wootroot, chrissoyars, ackprash, htc*
*Testers Brandroid, ChromeDroid, TheRomMistress, Motomudder*
Please note you’ll have to change the clock color yourself via cmparts or grab the xml from www.mau5.net . If you don’t know how to get this to work on your hd2, you shouldn’t be on this page.
*This is based off biffmod-hd2 1.3 with an updated kernel so it should be plenty stable
* I’ve included a transparent dialer/contacts/call log (not present in the original version)
* See www.mau5.net for extras
DOWNLOAD IT HERE
I don't care about donations but you can always hit that THANKS button

Like I said, I just thought it was broken after I rooted and Custom Rom the phone.

I think the ones in older Sense devices just logs crashes in apps though, while the one in new Sense devices logs everything, giving the old one less important info, and leaving the new one far more vulnerable.
Isn't this where droidwall or the like comes into play? Removal is always best but blocking those unwanted apps from accessing data should be commonplace.
