[Q] Flash Player for Azure? - Legend General

Just a wonder...
I can't seem to find this information... What i've found so far is that - no one has succeeded so far (i could be wrong).
But has anyone successfully installed flash player on Azure?
Sorry for this somewhat noob-ish question, but i've been trying to install flash player apks from all over and it's either it doesn't install, or it doesn't work when it does install...

To put it short: There is none.

Mic not working properly after rooting

I have noticed, since I have rooted my phone the mic is not working as it was before. The person on the other side is hardly able to hear my voice. Is this a common issue? can the mic volume be increased?
I am using superD as the rom.
some ppl have the issue and I believe it has to do with the audio files, search for the fix. I've seen several (a lot) of people provide the fixes. Give that a try

I tried looking. couldnt find what i need. can you provide me with some links?
I could only provide it if I searched for them (and you can search them too), which I don't really wanna do right now. lol, sorry.
Try checking merlos superd port thread. I think someone posted an audio fix there. That might fix your problems. If not, check the main thread
Ps. you replied to my post in 3 minutes, I don't think you searched enough
hahaha. I meant i searched even before posting, but your saying that the solution is out there made me search even more.
I found this link. http://forum.xda-developers.com/archive/index.php/t-549837.html
How do you install these files? whats adb?
Sorry I am new to rooting.
Alright, lets not worry about ADB right away but it's really useful later on.
Try this first, I myself have never had audio issues. Have you ever used audio hack? I always use that and again, never had audio issues. If it doesn't work then alright heres what to do
(And yes those were the audio files I'm talking about so I think it's a good find!)
to use adb, you need androidsdk. google that and download it, run the package and then you gotta install USB drivers. Do that first
If the ADB fails as well (would be awesome if audio hack worked, and trust me, you'll wanna know a bit about adb, and things such as fastboot) then we'll just find a zip file and flash it
No i have never used audio hack. How do i do that?
go to google and type in
xda audio hack
actually read your pm and do u have google talk? were just making a mess on the forums
and heres one more method, provided by merlos in his thread!

Just flash that, i believe those are the original files and it should work

by flash you mean install them like i installed the rom? can i do it on this rom itself or will i have to flash the rom once again?
yes, have your rom installed and then just install it like you did with the rom. It basically just replaces some files so no need to flash the rom again, otherwise the files you just put in have no effect

so for installing my rom i had to do a wipe, do i do that for this as well. I need to backup all my data and apps?
*sigh*
You had to wipe because you had another rom before that. You don't wanna install a bunch of different roms on top of eachother.
This isn't a rom, why would you want to wipe? Start thinking for yourself lol
but anyways, I would do a nandroid backup incase something goes wrong
A good lesson is to never jump into the deep end of the pool right away. When doing stuff like rooting and playin around with your phone it's better to read instructions 2 times or more.
But to give you a tip about ADB, go to Theunlockr.com and look for the Magic how to's section. There are some great videos and failsafe instructions. Good luck!

[Q] Is there a guide for "notsonoob" noobs???

Hi all,
The reason why i ask this is because i would like to load some custom firmware onto my KF. I am currently running 6.2.2 (ota) and i am rooted with the android market and go launcher installed. I was looking through the forums and i was trying to find a guide... or something... that basically says what to do next. I didn't want to jump into doing something and make myself a $200 paper weight...
Any assistance/guidance would greatly be appreciated.
not really a guide but maybe a good starting point:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1467013
Thanks for the reply, I was reading around and i DLed the latest KFU, and installed the twrp recovery. I guess what i am looking for is an order of doing things... I have a samsung galaxy s 4g, vibrant, and a P.O.S dart (all rooted w/ custom firmware installed)... all the forums with these devices had posts with an order of doing things so you didn't end up with an expensive paper weight...
this isn't me taking a stab at the dev's for the KF BTW, but maybe a suggestion... as i have no problem following good instructions to the S (at the end... get it? teehee) ... unless i'm sleepy.. then i miss stuff...
Any help... or even a posting with links (in order) of kinda what to do...
thanks all.
if you have a recovery (twrp in your case) then you have all you need to flash a other rom
- go to twrp
- make a backup of your current rom
- copy the rom you would like to flash to the root of sdcard (the .zip file)
- follow the instructions in the op of the selected rom (when and what to wipe/purge - it's different depending on the rom)
- flash the new rom
- reboot and be patient
- the first boot can need up to 20min

[Q] Delted Google Play store

Hi,first of all i want to say im new to Android
I have a rooted Lg L5 im enjoying the futures of it
i was testing this app ""root app delete"" and deleted some floatware apps and accidently also deleted the Google play store
not just the updates but like the app itself and now when I try to download the APK of the Google play store it keeps crashing as soon I open the play store. I tried factory resetting my phone thinking I would get the original play store back.but that did not solve the problem I get an icon where the play store app would be with the name ""com.google.."" and when i try to click it its says application not installed.
after installing the play store APK I get the first problem as first
so i read somewhere a firmware update would solve the problem some googling late I found out about custom roms and flashing them
I have no idea how to do this
Im very interested in that but it seems its very difficult do do and you could brick your phone if you do it wrong
I don't get it, are you on a custom ROM right now? Because as far as I know (and I do not know much) you can only flash gapps on a custom ROM. Now my ADVICE to you is to install CM 10 (it's amazing anyway) and then download and flash gapps, which can be found here http://goo.im/gapps (second from top for CM 10). If you need any help doing any of that, just reply here and I will be happy to help.
Hey im not on a custom rom im new to android and I don't know much about customs roms but read about them
if you say it will solve my problem im going to try the CM 10 out .As a beginner with android some help would be great
Try this google.apk (install) https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B2Yt4LYuF0UuTEwtV2ZMQ0JDX3c/edit?usp=sharing
the link did not work for the play store APK already tried the ones on adroidpolice as well but without no luck

First, try the APK that the guy above me posted, if that doesn't work, keep reading.
Refer to this guide http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R9__laYmXsA, it's newbie friendly BUT instead of downloading and using the L7 version he provided, use the L5 version which can be found here http://get.cm/?device=e610
And if you don't know how to get to recovery mode, you need to download the ''ROM manager'' APK from anywhere (since you don't have the play store), open it, then select ''reboot to recovery'' as shown in the video
Then after you get Cyanogenmod working, use the same method that was shown in the video with gapps, the link can be found in my first reply to this thread.
thank you will try it out in the noon or tomorrow
will post if it worked out well then
is there anything else i need to know before doing this?
like backing up my data or something important in case I mess up ?
it looks easy do to tho
The risk is minimal, but do a system backup with the rom manager app anyway, I think it's the first option, you'll find your way it's pretty easy
and that's pretty much it, do what's exactly on the video, then do the same with gapps, and you should have the play store back. If Google Search kept crashing afterwards, just go to the play store and update it.
If you do not want Cyanogenmod after you get the play store back, then reply here or message me and I'll help you go back to the stock ROM/firmware.
Hey!
I unlocked my bootloader and installed CM 10 and I must say it looks and feel so much better
I came across this guide how to get the google apps back if you wanted to.
25. If you want to install the google apps download this file: (the link cant post any links) and put in on your L5
26. You have to shutdown your L5 and boot into the recovery (Press and hold the Volume down key + Power key, after 2 seconds when the lights go on you have to press 2 seconds on the home button)
27. Go to install zip from sdcard
28. Select choose zip from sdcard and press the power button
29. Select gapps-jb-20121011-signed.zip and press the power button
30. Select Yes – Install gapps-jb-20121011-signed.zip
31. Wait a few seconds
32. Go Back and reboot
33. Now your L5 boots Cyanogenmod 10 with the google apps
only problem is the Link is not working where you can download the file anyone have the zip file ?
would be appreciated
There was no need to google a way, I already told you it is installed just like Cyanogenmod , anyway this is the link for gapps http://goo.im/gapps, click on the second option from the top (CM 10) and the download should automatically start after 10 seconds. It should work, if it doesn't, then the problem is with your internet connection/browser, because there is nothing wrong with the link.
Hey thanks did not understand 100% how you instal gaps
so I just install them using the same method I did the Cyanongenmod right ?
i think that should be no problem
1 more thing I came across some problems with CM 10
showthread.php?t=2284791
the biggest problem is not seeing my external SD
Im kinda considering getting the original Stock ROM back
could you tell me how to get my custom stock rom back?
im using CM 10 for a few hours and its not I don't like it but it having too much problems with it
my last post for today its getting late im going to sleep
will see how things work out tomorrow
Bump
Here is a detailed, newbie-friendly guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1060121
Use this KDZ file http://www.multiupload.nl/9CTXNHIYIJ I got it from this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1790342
thank you I fixed the external storge problem with CM 10 its places as SD card 01 and placed on a other place
further then that Im keeping CM 10 on my phone I like it more then the stock rom
1 noob question:
IF I ever change my mind and want my stock rom back and follow the guide will I have android 2.2.2 on my android or the ICS version(the guide says you end up with 2.2.2) that came with it?
and do an system update to get it back to ICS?
I want to thank you for helping me so far thank you very much
thats all
It depends on the KDZ file you flash, the guide only shows you how to flash a KDZ file I THINK the download link I posted was for the stock(check the thread I got it from), but you will have to look around on XDA and find a trusted thread with the KDZ file you want. I would give you a link but I am currently on an L7
Also, ALWAYS update CM, they tend to fix bugs every 3-4 days in their updates, which is one of the many reasons why it is the best firmware imo.
And no problem, always happy to help

Installing the best ROM nowadays for Defy (+)

Hello everybody I got brand new Motorola Defy+ and I want to have newest version of android on it. I am not familiar with rooting etc and unsure if this is possible theres instruction in videos description on youtube "How to Install Android Nougat on Motorola DEFY+ (Android 7.1.1/CM14.1)" ( I can not post links) If not I am curious what is the safest and easiest way to root the device and if theres available newer system than KitKat for my device
Moreover I wanted to install roehsoft ram expander as the phone got only 512 MB of RAM but test says it has to have compatible kernel from what I remember. Not sure if I have to install new operating system in the first place and then root the phone or the opposite and what kernel it has to have to work properly. As I said before I am not experienced android user its my first device with this system
Thank you in advance ppl peace!
Amazing, Motorola Defy+ is cool in its segment but can this slim hardware keep up with such a bulky Android version?
It's said in KittyKat threads here phone has a tendency to stutter with KK (as such a demanding OS), and how about Nougat?
Anyway it'd be nice if somebody adjust Nougat to work worth Defy+. Especially it is needed to optimize battery consumption in idle.
And about rooting, you can just run apk called FramaRoot and job is done
Afterwards run SndInitDefy_2.3 and you will have custom recovery installed (CWM), it is just as simple as it!
http://cloud.tapatalk.com/s/5965fe184202f/Framaroot-1.9.3.apk
http://cloud.tapatalk.com/s/5965fe43f2a32/SndInitDefy_2.3.apk
Afterwards, make a nandroid backup and, using already installed custom recovery CWM (which is clumsy, without touch support), you may want to flash TWRP. If so then flash defy_twrp_recovery_2.6.3.0.zip, e.g. from this link:
http://d-h.st/users/tejus.k.v
Although attention: this flashes recovery TWRP to the system partition (probably the phone's recovery partition is to small) overwriting the android system which is already there, so after doing this you must flash some ROM.
It is described in the second post of this KittyKat ROM thread: [ROM] [4.4.2] SlimKat (jordan) [STABLE 4.0] [Weekly 3.85] [Unofficial]
And see Installation Instructions section, good luck! ?

Thank you for your help! My phone dont want to turn on anymore. I've done everything carefully up to the following point"Wipe /data, /cache, and /system in TWRP or use defy_safewipe.zip" (after that I wanted to flash this: "Slim-mb526-4.4.2.build.4-UNOFFICIAL-20140407-2344.zip" cos its ROM right?), but and when it asked me to slide back to the right blue arrow to confirm, my phone booted up and then died after motorola logo. Green led lighted up before death. It seems that it wasnt safe thing despite the name. What to do now? Can I recovery it?
--
UPDATE: ok its working again , Ive tried combo "up volume" and "power" buton.
Now Ive got no idea what "Gapps" or "Slimroms addons you want" are, but after mad long startup (with SlimKAT logo on the screen), it seems that this system is working. Its much faster than befo I can see. It's RUNNING!
--
UPDATE 2: Play Store refuses to open on this new system after I installed it. "Unfortunately, Google Play Store has stopped."
I have just flashed this ROM:
[Kitkat][Nightlies] CM11 Android 4.4 for the Defy(+), it is the most advanced so far as I can see, the freshest release is cm-11-20161124-NIGHTLY-mb52x so half a year old.
If you read instructions on this thread you can see it's installation is somewhat tricky.
It includes rearranging partitions layout and sizes.
If you really want experimenting with flashing Nougat you will probably need the technique to change partitions sizes, and you may edit the values inside the resize.zip according to individual needs (post #5595)
And the half of the links from the first post are empty, however in the middle of the thread there are still working links.
After all it's better to follow this version of installing instructions (post #5584)
Also you can find some files here: http://defy.svolkov.name/quarx2k.ru/
I have done partitions resizing, bootstrap, and managed to flash the first ROM, version: cm11.0-defy-newlife.zip,
however wrongly have done cache & Dalvik reset just after resizing (and before ROM flashing): the result is ROM is working well but cannot boot into recovery anyway (and can't recreate recovery anyway either, even doing:
Code:
cat /sdcard/bootstrap_ext3.img > /dev/block/mmcblk1p1
as suggested in the post: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=57221743&postcount=6510)
And I'd like have the freshest version, the only way is to flash stock and do everything from a start again. Please if you can, how to flash stock? It is said elsewhere the most critical in it is choosing the right version of sbf file, choosing inappropriate would brick a phone irreversibly! And how to know which one to choose, tutorials here are so convoluted and discussions so chaotic! Afraid of touching anything though!
As far as the ROM itself, although it is the first only cm11.0-defy-newlife.zip it works amazingly well!
It boots quickly, is fast, RAM friendly, nice!
(It has little overclocked processor and this makes using the phone so comfortably, just little overclocked so hardware friendly too!)

Again I want to thank you for your response. On the verion of system Ive installed I cant use my camera for video recording because of lack of some codecs it says and I cant watch YouTube. 'Google Services' crashes. The only way I could download some decent apps was from 'Aptoide'. 'Roehsoft Ram Expander' needed Google services so it wont open (ive download 'Kernel audiutor' however I dont have class 10 card yet so I dont know if its good at all). I wont be fighting with this anymore, I am going to try mentioned 'CM11 Android 4.4 for the Defy(+)'.
So I have to go "Recovery" in this secret startup menu before I install it? I mean do I have downgrade my system before instalation of new one? Or just follow the instructions straight from the beggining I dunno. But I dont want any complicated things you know..
--
The links are dead, but Ive found them files:
defy.7z
Now, you metrioned two rom's but which one is less tricky, cm11.0-defy-newlife.zip or cm-11-20161124-NIGHTLY-mb52x.zip?
You know, I have installed cm-11-20161124-NIGHTLY-mb52x.zip at last, after exciting night of attempting flashing any stock ROM and then following the procedure exactly from the first post of "[Kitkat][Nightlies] CM11 Android 4.4 for the Defy(+)"
and the updated files: new_bootstrap and resize, found here
It costed many efforts of blindly "trial and error" flashing one by one stock ROMs, until found the one which turned on my phone with anything else than black screen!
And everything it was to have possibility of flashing cm-11-20161124-NIGHTLY-mb52x.zip instead of already running cm11.0-defy-newlife.zip.
And you know what? The version cm11.0-defy-newlife.zip seemed running better than the freshest one!
It was, what is most important: faster!!!
And anything else seems the same (so far)!!!
Is the any rationale behind hustle and bustle of flashing the "NIGHTLY" and exactly for what?
Question of stability which user gets know only after some time?
Anyway the speed is everything in such thin hardware like Defy+ and i can't resist an impression cm11.0-defy-newlife.zip is way faster!
And what's more, you probably can flash cm11.0-defy-newlife.zip without the whole convoluted procedure of resizing partitions! (needs checking, if you want simplest way you had better resize partitions )
In fact this version of ROM is the same as:
Quarx said:
8. Install cm11.0-defy-newlife.zip (It's latest cm11 from 23sep with changes for new table)
Click to collapse
but cm11.0-defy-newlife.zip was to try if the only resizing procedure itself worked at all (and for users to send feedback).
In fact resizing partitions is needed only for the next ROM versions (of which the freshest is cm-11-20161124-NIGHTLY-mb52x.zip):
"the nightlies AFTER 01 Oct are for the new partition table".
(Aha, cm-11-20161124-NIGHTLY-mb52x.zip probably is odexed, while cm11.0-defy-newlife.zip is deodexed, it needs confirmation)
And if you needed flashing stock and had doubts how, then write, I'd gladly help and share the knowledge painstakingly acquired this night.
It is amazingly simple and safe, there're few simple basic things but if you needed found them by yourself in this forum you would probably get panicked
It is about how simple things people can mess up! ?

Thank you my friend. Ive installed cm11.0-defy-newlife.zip. Its fine because my camera can now record videos but still it cant play it. :crying:
YouTube videos also wont load, however internet is fast and so on.

Google Play still dont work, same error. I kinda came to terms with it as I have Aptoide, but I want to use YouTube..
And what do you use to watch YouTube videos? Advise third party apps, e.g. SnapTube etc, instead of YouTube application. In fact forgot installing gapps at all and it makes me happy You only now made me think about it In such thin hardware it is better to have microG (μG) (for apps refusing running without Google Services) and/or Yalp Store for Play Market access
If you insist using bulky Google then try opengapps.org

I guess gapps are apps for new software? Ok so now that I have downloaded SnapTube I still cant play any video. Its loading but wont start just like videos on my phone storage or just recorded

Ive read on some native forum that after codecs instalation he problem disappeared I try to find some
I have just recorded a video of my dog, sent it via email (AquaMail), received it in a mail to myself and played it with system player, pretty well!
It is possible freshest NIGHTLY ROM has issues solved, how to check it (without Google)?
And can you play videos self recorded with this phone?
OpenGapps.org provides you ability to choose what package, how complex (I always choose "pico"), and for what platform (yes, KittyKat is still supported) you download.

Yes, you can change for e.g.
"Installing the best ROM nowadays for Defy (+)"
And it is said Defy and Defy+ is the same hardware, just plus is rebranded and has overclocked processor (to 1GHz) and bit bigger battery, see section "Facts" in [GUIDE] All-in-One Defy Beginner's guide
or "Yielding Defy competitive nowadays"
It is still phone unique on the market, searched something for summer, a little waterresistant phone which could suit to any even tiniest pocket. And found Defy is just the only one in this kind, nowadays producers offer big smartphones and if you want something little & watertight then you can buy modern smartwatch - thanx, prefer Defy: bigger battery, faster, and of incomparable comfort of usage, for peanuts! Ive just followed the steps here did exactly what is written step by step from the beggining.
I think now the only is playing videos. Videos I have recorded (on the phone) can be played back only in vlc but still with lags. Same for vids online, however if I choose mobile version of YouTube and try to play stream in vlc it worx but very poor quality. I tried many things without any success, for eg. Flash Fox but the problem is rather in system files than settings and apps itself.
In my custom system I could playback any video.

It's irrelevant for video playing but I think it is better to follow the first post from the thread and use the files:
new_bootstrap & resize (instead of PrepareZip_1 & PrepareZip_2),
new_bootstrap has different size than PrepareZip_1 and is newer, something has been changed.

You see, I play with phone system player any videos recorded with phone system camera application without any problem.
Is the newest NIGHTLY ROM better in the sense the issues have been ultimately repaired?
If so, make android backup of data partition, reboot into TWRP, wipe cache, Dalvik, data (factory reset), and flash the newest NIGHTLY!
(Yet if you enjoy playing with comparing the two system you may wait )
And maybe before flashing next ROM do these newer new_bootstrap.zip & resize.zip flashing (just in case: of avoiding extra issues).

It's irrelevant for video playing but I think it is better to follow the first post from the thread and use the files:
new_bootstrap & resize (instead of PrepareZip_1 & PrepareZip_2),
new_bootstrap has different size than PrepareZip_1 and is newer, something has been changed.

OK so I will try now cm-11-20161124-NIGHTLY-mb52x with new_bootstrap and resize. Do I have to just install them like before right? It will replace system I have now?

Ok I get it
If so, make nandroid backup of data partition, reboot into TWRP, wipe cache, Dalvik, data (factory reset), and only then (but immediately without rebooting after wiping) do these newer new_bootstrap.zip & resize.zip flashing!
The files you can find here
After flashing NIGHTLY successfully, boot it, follow the initial wizard etc, check if it works ok, and if so reboot into TWRP again to restore your data nandroid backup.
If you don't care about previous data give in with it and configure your Android anew

How to upload LineageOS to i337 with locked bootloader I337UCSGOK3 and other things..

Hello to all forum members. :highfive:
Recently I got into my hands the Samsung S4 SGH-I337 version of AT&T, at least I think so. The current version of Android on it is 5.0.1.
When I set the phone to recovery mode, I think I see the modem version: I337UCSGOK3. Correct me if this is not the modem version, but I am sharing it because I guess this information will be helpful to make alternative software installation.
I've already spent 7 days trying to change the software, reading one by one what I will find about such an update. I tried tons of instructions and they all didn't let me do upload/change somehow software nor even install TWRP.
Tried to upload TWRP (I think I found 6 different files) using different applications from the original Android system - Failed. ie. I used TWRP straight from the system, I also used Flashify. When I use this Flashify app I installed TWRP, but it didn't let my phone go into recovery mode, it just went straight to the download. For me it looks like there is something to not let flash/change this to TWRP.
I tried to upload TWRP via ODIN, it doesn't work, it crashes during installation with error messages.
I also tried to upload lineageos version lineageos.17.1.recovery.img via the normal recovery mode, but every time I try I get an error about the signature not matching.
I tried to upload the software by ADB, I have had connection, I was able to see the phone, but I can only use adb sideload recover.img command and although I tried different images and .zip files, unfortunately nothing works. I think I also get an error that the signature does not match.
Can I ask you for some hints, maybe some instructions that will really work. Many instructions were based on specific versions of the bootloader, is what I called the modem above maybe I named this wrong and this is the bootloader version? If so, does anyone know about the instructions for this version of the bootloader? It seems to me after my problems that it is strangely blocked. Maybe someone knows how to make it work. I would like to change the software to change the system language to Polish. Unfortunately, the apps: MoreLocale2 and Language Enabler and probably about 4 others from the play store are not working.
Of course, the phone is rooted with Kingoroot, the applications detect that there is root, after all, after selecting the Polish language, it does not work in the system.
I would like to change Androind 5.x to LineageOS, because there you can do much more and it works better, more efficiently and saves battery. And I will be able to change language defenetly.
this is not the first time when I do that things. I have changed the regular S4 jfltexx many times, this is not the slightest problem for me.
Summarizing:
1. I would like to change the language to Polish, if it doesn't work or it won't be possible, it's a waste of time or something else
2. I would like to unlock the bootloader and upload TWRP, it can be CWM if anyone knows it will work and has an instruction that I can test
3. Then I would like to upload lineageos.
I'd appreciate any hints to test these things above.

I read that it will be possible to upload TWRP, but if it is a special version of TWRP prepared for this phone. Will someone be so nice and tell me if something like this exists and if so, where can I find such TWRP for uploading via ODIN.
Thank yo all for your time spending to read this.:good:
PS: Dear Moderators if this thread is not in proper place please correct this. Thank you.
Those instructions are for another bootloader. Your bootloader is locked, which is why TWRP won't install. There is no way to unlock it or downgrade. You also can't boot AOSP based ROM like Lineage OS. What you can do is root the phone and install touch wiz based ROM like Golden eye ROM by using the flash fire app if you're on lollipop or safe strap recovery if you're on kit kat.

Big Thank You for your suggestion and answer on my question.:good:
Right now I have Lolipop installed on the phone so related to this above I can only install something with touchwiz. Hope it will let me to change language to the Polish.
Would you be able to point me some links to instruction, please. I try to find this on forum but failed (getting ROM for nintendo). At least links to the software so I can try using flashfire app. The best it will be instruction, as I have situation in which when I use this app phone want boot after. Maybe it was related to the software, which I shouldn't use or maybe I do this in not proper way.
For everything what I get I'm saying thank you. :highfive:
No problem, I help when I can. The flash fire app you can get from the Google play store I believe, but your phone might need a specific version like the Verizon S4 does I don't know. The touch wiz ROMs are in this forum under Android development, go there and you should see ROMs like golden eye which is a touch wiz based ROM.
Here's a link that might help you, but the S4 is an old phone so it's hard to find links and guides that aren't buried deep in the forum posts.

Let me check this and back with the details what is working.
Alright man, good luck! I may not be able to help much further though, as I now have a Galaxy S10 and my S4 is just my storage phone, but I can try if it's something I know.
