EPIC - How to modify vibrate time for incoming email - Epic 4G General

I found an app to modify the vibrate length for incoming voice calls and SMS texts but I cannot locate an app to modify the incoming email vibrate string. Is there one available?
I have my phone (Epic) rooted and can see root files thru file manager. If someone knows the directory and filename of the email string file that would be a big help.
Thanks.

Have a look at the "sms notifier" and "email notifier" apps by mapeapps. I think they can do that.

SMS incoming notifications use the standard Windows Mobile Notifications system, so you can use any WAV file as a Notification.
Prepare your required Incoming SMS sound as a WAV file on your PC, then copy it to the MyDevice/Windows folder of the XDA.
Now open Start/Settings/Sounds & Notifications/Notifications and find the "Event" selection box. Find Message: New Text Message (or New SMS) in the list and select it. You then see the options with tick boxes. The Play Sound option has another dropdown, from where you can select any WAV file available.

Yes, this I know... But I want differentiate ringtones in agreement with phone number.
For example:
incomming SMS from +420603123456 - ringtoneA.wav
incomming SMS from +420598654321 - ringtoneB.wav
incomming SMS from +421800456654 - ringtoneC.wav
Do you get me?
Sorry- I misunderstood the question! I don't think anyone has developed a way to do this yet.

Groups - unfortunately not. Apparently the whole Contacts app has no notion of 'Groups' whatsoever, so you would need a third party application fort hat.

That you can do - just edit the contact and tap the "Ring tone:" field.

Not per-sender, but in general:
Start > Settings > |Personal| > Sounds & Notifications* > |Notifications| > Event: "Messaging: New text message"
I didn't know of the built in RingTone field in Contacts. That's very handy... I do know of an application that allows you to do what you're requiring. I came across it the other day looking for similar functionality. It's called Ringo Mobile. I've not tried it on my Wizard yet.

Well, i tried a Soft-reset.
When you make a new text message do you create it from within the text message folder or the outlook folder ????
if you do it from the outlook folder you are creating an e-mail instead of a text message

No i am making a new text message...
Anyone else?
when you reply to txt msgs it usually sends them back through the msg centre that sent them. when you send new ones, it uses your msg centre to send them. go into Phone > Menu:Options > Services and 'Get Settings' for Voice Mail and Text Messages. Make sure you have got the correct phone number for service centre (these instructions are for WM5 but i except its quite similar for WM2003)

SMS Sent Notification

I've got an annoying problem that I can't seem to fix....there is no option in Notifications to change how sent sms notifications arrive - so it vibrates and chimes every time. I need to keep the notifications themselves on, just without the audible notification!
Also, there is an option to set this for MMS messages which seems odd...
Any help would be appreciated. Cheers.
Dude- Im sure you have checked the settings in START>Settings>Sounds&Notifications right
Yeah. There is no option to change the notification for sms delivery reports though.
That's strange. it should be on the Notifications Tab in Sounds and Notifications. On the drop down list it should say "Messaging: New text message" you don't have that?
It's 'Messaging: New SMS Report' that I need and seems to be missing.
I have the same problem. I receive a LOT of SMS messages daily (100 and counting just today) and its horrible to get the same sound every 5 minutes!
I seem to have found the solution right here
http://www.saman-cz.com/ppc/index.html?drfovrw.html
Haven't installed it yet
Musicman - that settings is for incoming texts, on which you can set all the various options. 'Messaging: New text message'
Ubermark means that every time he sents a txt, you recieve a 'message sent' notification with sound.
What we are missing is a like for like setting for texts on 'Messaging: Sending MMS' - this would allow us to remove sound and/or notifications for text's sent.
Anyone any ideas?
Reg Edit to fix:
- HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Inbox
- create a new key "Settings"
- create a new string value "SMSNoSentMsg" and set the value to 1
do a search fro schap's tools and you can disable it from there

INBOX/SMS filter faq/wiki where to find

Is there any place where I can find SMS/Inbox filter rules faq/wiki.
I have a filter in HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Inbox\Rules\Configuration\MessageFilter which is
CaseSensitive=0
Default=Body
MatchType=6
Value=XXXX
It sends all SMS with value XXXX to a particular program. Those SMS do not show up in inbox. But I want only a copy to be sent to the program and a copy to show up in inbox. How can I do it. I am sure there will be a way to set up inbox filter to this.
Thanks.
