Here ya go
Hope you get some use out of them!
Thank You! Cheers.

They are system apps and need to be either a) pushed to /system/app via adb, or b) copied to /system/app using a root-enabled file explorer on the phone (i.e. Root Explorer).
You dont need it he's using a different device I think but if you really need it it goes in system app

RE: Camera.apk
Hi all, I came across this thread because my camera on my epic 4g is broken. It's not a hardware issue, or a rom issue (broken on stock and on CM7), so I thought i would reinstall the camera firmware and app to try to fix it. I have a rooted device running CM7 and copied this to the system/app folder, changing the files to .apk. However, when I try to install either app using ES File Explorer, it gives me an error that just says app not installed. Any suggestions? Thanks.
Usually you push system apps to the phone and reboot and they are installed.

These apk's won't work on cm7. This is for the touchwiz camera, and probably for EC05.
I am Z.
Thanks, that explains it. In that case, any suggestions on how I can get my camera to work on CM7? I've dl'd some 3rd party camera apps, the only one that seems to work is retro camera (and that breaks after taking one photo). The rest say someone about com.android.camera failing or just failing to load the camera application. Thanks again.

Could be some bad data causing it. I recommend downloading CM7 beta1 again, gapps again, and flashing them. If that doesn't fix it, then wipe data and flash again. You'll lose all of your data yes, but that could erase the culprit behind your camera. If it still doesn't work on a clean CM7 flash, then it is most likely a hardware issue of some kind.
I am Z.
So I backed up my phone, then cleared the cached and formatted the phone. Then I reinstalled CM7 and it didnt work. I restored my original CM7 and the camera still didnt work.
However, it seems like the camerafirmware.apk is working (at least it seems so). 3rd party camera apps are working now, though it doesnt seem like camera.apk installed the stock camera app. Thanks all for the help and the apk files!

I can't install the Youtube update from Market. It just keeps saying Installation Unsuccessful. That's it. Any ideas how to fix this? I'm rooted.
Anybody that has this problem...I was able to solve it by deleting the Youtube.apk in \system\app and then rebooting. Installing Youtube from Market.
For some reason the ROM I have (10/13 leaked Froyo) has a version of Youtube that doesn't seem to play nice with the update. All is well now though.
having the same issue (cyanogen 6)

anything installed in \system\app is not updatable by the android market. Originally, the majority of google-developed apps were installed through \system\app, in hindsight not the best path to keeping users current.
Thus, quite a large amount of (google) system apps have been replaced by user apps and are market downloadable. See Car Home for the most recent example before this.
just uninstall the old youtube via titanium backup and go back into market and download the new youtube app.
I have this problem and cannot delete YouTube.apk because my phone isn't rooted. So can I not update the YouTube app if the phone is not rooted?

Try root explorer, Ti Backup, adb, etc.

Anything I download on the market gets stuck at the "starting download" phase. I have tried Googling answers and nothing is working for me.
My market was fine before I applied the OTB test4 ul 1300 then updated back to my OTB 1.1 lv 1200 , which was stable for me, due to freezing issues with that test4. Any help would be greatly appreciated. . .

Try clearing data/cache for the market.
Did you uninstall Google talk services or anything else similiar besides the actual app? Because that breaks the market downloading.
Rockin' DJ05, Minimal Icognito, Clocked at 1.3Ghz
I used to have this problem all the time and it seemed like it was something different that fixed it on each occasion. Try clearing all market data and cache. Try backing up the APK, uninstalling it, and again clearing data/cache before replacing it. At the worst, use Titanium Backup and start over from scratch.

Ahh crap guys... I'm at work and yeah I've tried clearing the cache. I didn't uninstall anything recently either... what's this APK? I could teach myself how to do what the last poster said if I was pointed in the right direction.
Much love

My market is currently broken too with the exact same situation... I have reflashed the ROM and Kernel with no luck... And have also messed with cleaning the cache... I cant download Titanium backup currently from the market and I'm out of energy to try that until the morning but any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated...
I often have problems with this but I find that being on wifi really helps. If that's not available then if I start then stop the download it eventually will go through.

vending.apk -- the application file itself which is located in /system/app/. You can back it up by using the adb pull command if you're familiar with adb, or just copy it to your phone's SD card using Root Explorer or terminal commands.

Ok, it's weird. I'm on Froyo JSD stock and also tried out other 2.2.1 ROM like JS8. Gingerbread ROMs didn't have this problem.
Third party camera apps like CamTranslator, Mobile Hidden Camera, Barcode Scanner, or any apps using camera gave me error accessing camera. When I opened the camera app itself, it works fine, no error whatsoever.
At first, I just solved it with keeping Daily Briefing and Email autostart because I found that these two apps trigger the problem. But now it's back even I defrosted the two apps and keep them running. Weird, isn't it? What's the problem? Any idea. Already installed fresh JSD and JS8, the same problem occured, Daily Briefing and Email must keep running at startup.
Anyone??

Try another ROM?
Already tried all Froyos. I don't want Gingerbread.
Have the same problem. You have to restore stock e-mail client and wipe this app data - reboot, and should solve the problem.
If you really have removed the stock email app (did not read that anywhere and would not make sense keeping it in autostart, would it?) you could use this libcamera.so (replacing libcamera.so only is enough, be sure to make a backup copy) - Im using it with JSD and it works fine.
Asked what has been done to this lib some days ago but no answer yet.
Just posting in case it might be useful but does not seem to be a solution if you are using a complete stock rom...

Update: 11/20/11 Unofficial Market update which brings it to Version 3.3.12. Better integration with the Music market. You can now download free music and purchase music as well. Sorry U.S.A. only for free music (?)
How to install: download apk and install like any other apks.
http://db.tt/0j3ii5Oq
Here is the latest (leaked?) update of the Market which brings it to version 3.3.11.
And here's how I installed it: I am currently on CM7 nightlies
Download .apk (Market-3.3.11.apk)
Open Root explorer (or any file manager w/ root access)
Move New Market .apk (Market-3.3.11.apk) to system/apps (make sure to mount R/W first)
Move (or delete, but I suggest to move .apk just in case) older market .apk (Vending.apk) to your sdcard
Rename new market as Vending.apk
Fix Permissions (rw--r--r)
Exit Root Explorer (or any file manager)
Reboot
Done! Whew...
OR...
Download .apk
Rename New Market .apk to "Vending.apk" (w/o the quotes)
Install just like any other apllication
Reboot (if necessary)
*I didn't get the chance to try the second option so it may or may not work, but it kinda made sense...
**not sure if (Vending.apk) is the same name for SENSE ROMS (I don't remember) but just make sure to rename it the same way...

Hmm this actually is worth the trouble. LOL
you could do it the lazy way and hover over the link on this website and after about 3s a qr code will show up
DL'd and installed earlier. I had been having problems with the speed of other 3.x market apps, this fixes those all, even on 3g. However, some of my installed apps aren't showing up (like Google Maps, of all things). I'm sure there's a simple solution to that, though.

Try and clear "market" data through the application settings and reopen the market. See if that worked...
from the "CRACKED" speedy EVO engine... Via Tapatalk.
It won't install for me. It keeps saying application not installed. If I use root explorer to place the .apk in the /systems/app folder I just get force closes. Clearing data doesn't help either. I have downloaded it several times thinking it was a corrupted download. I'm at wits end here. I have done everything in this post even before I read it as I have updated to all the other previous market releases without issue.
But for some reason this one just doesn't work. I thought maybe it wasn't working on cm7.1 nightli or or the evo shift but some of you have it working so that isn't it. Let me redo this and maybe format cache and dalvik see if that helps.

did you rename the .apk of the new update?
I had zero issues with the new Market. I just installed it like any other .apk. The new Market is very nice. Many small noticable differences. Like when on the My Apps page and you switch accounts it leaves you on the My Apps page instead of reloading the whole damn Market. Overall new Market is definitly an improvement and Vicodan should stop being such a hater

I did try that, but no luck. I'll probably just ignore it until the next time I flash a ROM. Then it'll fix itself, so that's fine. I imagine it's only going to be a few days until I do that anyway.

Titanium Backup can restore all your Market links. I believe there's also other apps designed just to do that too. Use TB or search for an app that restores Market links.

If your use titanium backup to restore or install your apps go into the settings and use market doctor. This will fix missing links to apps in the market that you have installed.

Are you on a Sense ROM?
Good to know that it installed fine for you.
I'm about to destroy my phone and go back to iPhone 5 because that didn't constantly make me want to destroy everything around me.
I wanted to side-load an app. I just unlocked my bootloader and rooted it and was re-installing my apps.
When I go to install an app it says that there is no more space. the file is 4.85mb and I have 12GB of storage left.
I tried:
-Re-booting
-Installing other apps (which works)
-Clearing the cache
-Downloading Trail from PlayStore (I get the same result)
NEW:
-When plugged in via USB to my PC, device doesn't show up under "Computer" [Running Windows 7 x64)
What I did:
I backed up my phone and wiped the whole thing because I was running out of time last night
Thankfully Foxnov1990 and ImbaWind's tips worked. I restored the original backup and it solved my problem. Thanks so much! Love ya guys! :victory:

I get the attitute, but you might wanna at least try to be friendlier as we're just here to help.
But On-Topic: have you tried this?
File explorer (app)
Go to /data/app (in System (root))
Del this line
com.maxmpz.audioplayer-1.odex
I've had it before that on stock ROM (aka unlocked bootloader and rooted) which means that it's not DEodexed that some Odex files were left behind. Which means that whatever you try, as long as that file is there, you won't be able to install the app. (shouldn't happen but it's possible in rare occasions)
Hope it helped.
If it didn't help and the Odex file is not there, see if you have Lucky Patcher installed, deinstall it (it sometimes holds on to odex files), and try installing PowerAmp now. Then reinstall Lucky Patcher

Honestly, I have installed and deinstalled the app more than you can possibly imagine... and I've nearly never had issues with reinstalling.
And when I did get issues it was Lucky Patching (having patched the app) that was holding on to the odex and I couldn't delete it till Lucky patcher was deinstalled.

Oh yep, always happen when I use lucky patcher to removed the app's ads !
I've run into a similar issue before.
I've had similar issues when I've removed an .apk using adb or root explorer without removing its associated .odex file.
Use root explorer and try to find an .odex file that has the same name as the package that you are having trouble installing.
There are some cache cleaning utilities in the Play store that might assist you as well.

Good luck. Also, try to approach asking for help in a more mature manner in the future. You are not entitled to hack a device then complain when something unexpected happens.
