Unroot problem Samsung Galaxy S - Android Software Development

I have a problem with my samsung galaxy S.
I've rooted my phone but i can't get it to unroot i'm using Galaxy_one-Click_Root program but when my samsung get's in system recoverymode it only says the following options:
* reboot system now.
* Apply sdcard:update.zip
* Wipe data/factory reset.
* Wipe cache partition.
The program says i need to select reinstall packages before i can continue?
What do i need to do.
I'm unrooting it for the Froyo update\
**Edit** sorry i think i posted this in the wrong section.

You don t need to unroot...flash the froyo update and then wipe and restore factory setting...personnaly i found the official update not as good as the

So you don't need to unroot it first?
I heard everybody about that you first need to unroot before you update to Froyo.
But ok i update it to froyo and then after i updated it i only have to use the wipe and restore factory settings option.?
And after that it's not rooted anymore right?

Disable 2.3.7 Update Notification

How can I disable this? I'm rooted so I can't apply the update, and I don't feel like wiping and updating to a current rom.
Copy the 2.3.7 build.prop with ur current one
Flash the 2.3.7 rooted update. You won't have to wipe data so you won't lose anything. Just wipe cache and dalvic cache.

You can apply the update if you're rooted and haven't made modifications to the things in /system that it modifies and install a stock recovery (at least temporarily). You'll just need to run a permissions fix or reflash busybox and superuser afterward.

How to wipe everything

I need a 100% fresh start but a factory reset or flashing a new rom doesn't get rid of the system folder so busybox is e.g. always installed.

If that way u wanna do then u can flash a stock firmware and after that u reset the device from phone and start from rooting again
.
Could you use the recovery ? use the recovery to wipe data may be the fastest way

Yeah but when I use the wipe function in the recovery or from settings agter the wipe it stilll says e.g. that busybox is installed.
I use CWM recovery to wipe cache, dalvic cache, system partition, data partition and preload partition, then is 100% clean
1st run triangle away v3.00 then reflash the stock firmware using Mobile ODIN, the paid version, and just tick "wipe cache/data" and "wipe dalvik cache". If you don't want root then untick the everroot options and you now have a stock phone.
Cheers...
Sorry, Should of mentioned it will wipe EVERYTHING from internal storage. If you want to keep anything best to back up to PC...

[Q] Back up stock ROM for Samsung Galaxy S4

Hi,
I have a rooted Samsung Galaxy S4 (SGH-I337M) and I want to backup my stock ROM before installing a custom ROM. When I open the Android System recovery, I do not have backup and recovery option. The options that I have are :
1. reboot system now,
2. apply update from ADB
3. apply update from external storage
4. wipe data/factory reset
5. wipe cache partition
6. apply update from cache.
Can anyone please share some more information regarding backing up stock ROM ? Thanks in advance.

You need a custom recovery. It isn't possible to backup system with the stock one.

install CWM Recovery and things will be all smooth from there

[Q] Flash to stock with full reset

Sorry to start a thread for something that I think is simple. I want to update my S5 to the newest PF4. I was on a rooted 5.0.1 before. I didn't care about keeping root, etc.
I used SamFirm to download the newest firmware. Then ODIN to flash the newest firmware.
The result was it upgraded my phone to 6.0.1 instead of a clean install. In the old days, I recall having to clean cache, clean Dalvik cache, and maybe some other steps.
I simply want to nuke my phone 100%, and load it with the stock firmware PF4.
If I reboot my phone into recovery I see Wipe Date/Factory Reset and Wipe cache partition. I envision that is what I need to do, but looking for confirmation. Also, does the order matter?

You just need to flash a full factory tar from odin
Where do I get a full factory tar? I used SamFirm, the screencap is below.

You can use Samsung smart switch emergency upgrade and initialization option to fully wipe and upgrade your device.
Or just flash the stock firmware, and then go to recovery and do a factory reset.
