HELP PLEASE."USB connected" still flashing on phone screen hours after unplugging.
Hey guy's, I've been having a problem where when I have my phone plugged in to my windows PC running Vista 64bit and when I'm done transferring files, I unplug my phone and (on phone top left part of screen) the "USB connected" sign keeps flashing saying that it's still connected. And when I have the ";Debugg mode" on, that also keeps flashing on the upper left part of the screen along with the "USB connected" sign. Does anyone have any idea's on what I did to my phone? Did I break it?
EDIT: when it's plugged in, it works fine.. The "USB logo" shows along with the red triangle with the (!) in the middle...
Any help would be great. And thankls very much in advance...

Almost 8 out of 10 times I unplug the usb cord from my phone after connecting thru ActiveSync, my phone locks up on the screen it was on while connected to my computer. It shows "Connect to PC" at the top. The only way to have this fixed, is to take out the battery each time, or go to another phone and call my cell to have it leave that screen. Is there a process to disconnect with the USB? Are people going to the USB icon and right clicking "Safely Remove Hardware" when finished syncing their phone to avoid this? Thanks if you can share your experience.
If i got ur problem correctly, you can either tap on "Connect to PC" and see if that will encourage it to move on. Or when in doubt, always hit the Close button, hit it again and the unlock slider should appear wihch should solve the problem.
Was messing around trying to restore the phone back to stock using: [ROM] OFFICIAL T-Mo Vibrant JFD ODIN/Nandroid Backup Images 7/29/10 (Tested/Working)
Odin never got passed file analysis.
Phone showed yellow digger but not progress bar.
I gave up and ended up popping the battery out of the phone. Apparently that is a bad idea.
Now, when I try to power up or even plug in the usb cable, it is displaying a phone on the left, a pc on the right with a caution sign with "!" in between the two.
Any hope for me?

Same thing happened to me....."twice" I'm a little more hard headed than most. Anyways, I went back to t-mobile and they exchanged both times - so maybe check that out. I haven't seen anyway yet to get past that "phone > pc" screen.
-Good luck
Wonderful... I got the phone used.
Been playing with it for a while. Trip to the T-mobile store... call to Samsung tech... was looking pretty bleak.
With the screen displaying the phone....pc, it wouldn't do a thing. Plugging in the USB, nothing (no beep beep notification from PC either). This told me for whatever reason, the USB boot loader was failing.
I tried a different approach. Rather than hold vol up and down then power, then connect USB (or USB before the sequence)... I decided to see if plugging in the USB as the power trigger would work. IT DID!!
So, to spell it out. Pull battery to get phone turned off. Put batter back in. No SIM, no SD. Hold vol up and down then plug in USB cable attached to PC. Voiala - Little digging guy ready to flash.
Flashed it with the stock ROM and am golden again.

Greg you are a life saver. Thanks! Worked for me!
If it will do anything you can bring it back to life... a true brick wont do anything... wont even show the battery status when plugged in...

Hi guys,
I've got my Nexus One since early 2010, which was working like a charm until last weekend.
I was sleeping in a tent at a festival, and the phone slept in like 2 drops of water for the whole night. During the night I felt it vibrated, I think it was the "I'm dead" vibration, although it was at 47% when I got to sleep.
In the morning, I saw like 3 drops of water behind the screen glass. The ball was glowing green, although I don't remember setting any notification to this color.
I tried to put the screen on with ball click, power button click, power button long click, power button long click + volume up or down or ball... nothing.
So I thought it was dead. I went to charge it, the charing LED was RED instead of the usual orange. But it charged, and now it's working fine.
Problem is, when I plug it to the wall charger or USB or car dock, the LED is always RED and never orange nor green.
When I plug USB, windows is saying (translated from french) "USB Device not recognized. One of the USB devices connected to this computer did not work well, and Windows does not recognize it. Click this message to show help."
If I slighly move the cable, without unplugging, the message keeps popping like once every 2-3 seconds.
I don't know what to do. I can use wireless ADB, which is good if my laptop is using internet over wifi, but it's not working if the laptop gets internet from an ethernet socket. Indeed, windows does not know which interface to use to reach the phone, and it tries over ethernet...
Any idea? Would it be worth it to open it and try to remove rust?
Thanks
Regards
Edit: would it be possible to move this to Q&A? I guess I posted in the wrong section. My apologies about that.
Right, so I fixed the yellow triangle. Was hard to get it to work but I eventually did.
Pretty much, all I did was have device manager open, and plug in the USB, then I held the power button until it shut off, unplugged the USB, plugged it back in and let it turn on by itself. If you did it right it will say 'kindle' with a yellow triangle instead of 'Unknown USB device' or whatever, then once you see this, right-click kindle and click uninstall. when you do that, turn off kindle, and unplug then re-plug back in. You should see kindle again. When you do, install the Google USB drivers that you used in rooting 6.2. Now you can use KF Utility to change the bootmode.
If if doesn't work just let me know, cause this worked for me. I don't see why it shouldn't work for you.
