I thought i would start this thread, since its kind of like a jungle to figure out what roms works on the new 2.09.51.03 radio.. So i hope that developers would post in here whether their rom works on it or not..
Symptoms of non working rom:
Unable to make calls and recieve calls
Poor sound quality
Poor audio
Roms that are working will be listed here:
Artemis - Go here
ROMeOS4 - Go here

Artemis 7.0 works : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=612580
Mine works (see my sig)
ROMeOS4 v4.05a
The OzROMs do, as they are base 1.72
Isn't that the distinguishing feature, simply that no 2.10 TMOUS ROMs are compatible with this Radio, since it is not a TMOUS Radio?
Nahh no rom with 576mb works, artemis v7 is 2.10 and works great with radio 2.09.

mine does (1.72 based)
Would be nice if an admin would make this thread a sticky.. Really hard to figure out what rom to choose, when there are so many to choose from.. And in my experience, the 2.09 radio is the best made, for battery, reception etc..
Mine works fantastic with Radio 2.09.
Duttys Leo Sense 2.5 HG V1.6 not working....
Im using the latest evo 1.4 rom from Xannytech and this radio is working just fine but the first time it wont boot,i take off the battery and reset, its working fine now, when i restart the device its not working anymore again....so not compatible!
Works fine on Eugenia 1.1.
@ionhide:
to make this post worth a sticky you should update your first post with every rom posted on this thread.

Oh yes of course - Will start working on it immediately!
EnergyROM working
The latest EnergyROM releases are working fine with the 2.09 radio.
I don't think it is necessary for a sticky but it could serve as a information post. The only think to remember is to look at what base build the ROM is built on before flashing. If your not sure PM the cook.
It is very simple any TMOUS base roms this radio will not work. If the ROM's are based on 1.48, 1.66, or 1.72 this radio will work.
I just updated 1st post - Will be updating later with more information..

For me, the EnergyROM does not work with the 2.09 radio. I tested with 23549 MaxManila, and 23541 MaxManila before, none working. The phone can bootup fine, but you cannot make any phone call. No sound when call, and lockup after call hungup.

I'm not sure but he maybe using some drivers from the 2.10 in his ROM. If you try the 2.08.50.08 radio and it works then this is most certainly the case.
windows 6.5, 6.5.x
when you flash a rom does it matter for these?
what if you want 6.5.x but currently have 6.5?
how does that work?
which rom do you like for the t-mous hd2 and why?
which rom has the least bugs, good battery life, and fast?
6.5 is what u hav now, 6.5.x only differs from the start menu going from the top of the screen to the bottom of it alsowen dealin with the newer roms 6.5.x usaly has the most updated software.... now always keep in mind to research the info before making a new thread, the reason for this is because when u go into a cooked rom thread all the info u need and pictures of the rom is in the thread... and please read before u do anything to your device
but i was wondering, if you flash a 6.5.x rom onto your 6.5 after you hspl will it still work or will it brick?? im not really sure about the whole flashing thing yet it still confuses me

when you flash, your current rom is completely wiped so it doesn't matter what version it is.

so to my understanding on flashing, you first hspl your phone then download your rom and radio first you flash radio then rom?
if you downgrade from 2.13 to 2.10.0 to hspl your phone, and you flash via micro sd, there isnt a possible way to brick your phone right? :/

doesnt really matter what order you flash them because you have a tmous, so the rom will work with any tmous radio, including the one already on your phone, and if there isnt a tmous radio on your phone then its already bricked
You probably learned that re: the normal leo, where the rom doesnt boot until the radio is flashed, but doesnt affect tmous.

Heh, theres always a chance, just like theres a chance you will fall over in the bathroom and break your neck whilst brushing your teeth, , , , , , hehe.
Make sure you have plenty of charge in your battery, and dont mess with it whilst its flashing, and it should be fine.

so whe i downgrade back to 2.10, you just install the rom right? and if your radio is 2.10 its fine right?
your radio should work fine with most of the roms that you install. If a particular rom requires a specific radio version 1 of 2 things will happen. 1) The chef will include it in the rom or 2) the chef will state the radio version needed as a recomendation. Sometimes a specific radio version will work better where as a different radio version may affect reception, battery life among other things. You can't however get whatever radio version you feel like because some radios are location specific (no need for a portuguese radio when you live in Chicago) Go to the XDA-Wiki and look for radios. They have a table explaining each radio version, it's carrier and it's location. Best of luck on journey through flashing. It is an exciting one.

go for it, you are flashing a tmous rom onto a tmous phone with a tmous radio 1 - included in the rom and 2 - already on the phone. It will alllll be fine.
Just wondering, what rom are you flashing? I understand your anxiety about flashing. Took me couple of months to get the courage to do so. I was afraid to brick my precious TP2.
Realize this has been covered many times before but searching is simply turning up too many negative results.
This is the only thing stopping me from using android daily. Can't seem to get around it.
Are there any tricks/quick hacks?
I am using Xannytech 2.3 and Radio 2.12.
Latest Froyo (Dans) and Updating with daily zimages from Cotulla
Use one of the compatible roms. Miri, elegancia, others...
Sent from my HTC Desire using XDA App
Is this guaranteed? Noted there are a few issues where it does not seem to work?
Is there a list of supported Roms?
i have the same problem, using Dutty's Nu Era ROM wih Android recommended 2.10 radio, would rather not switch since i have been using Dutty's ROMs for a long time and like the speed and stability of his ROMs. thanks!
bad echo
Thank you for starting this….I chngd to the OzRom 4.10, which solved the robotic voice and Extreme noise from my background. My callers are still getting a bad echo, these are the steps taken
1. Boot from windows mobile
2. Kill tasks
3. run Clrcad.exe then Haret.exe
My Specs….
desirebuild_v5.7z
OzRom 4.10
Leo_RADIO_2.10.50.08_2
Cotulla_zImage_CABDET_NOSPEEDY 07-23
HTC Sense (HTC Desire base rom) v5 (21-July-2010)
i give you 100% gurented solution ...
robotic voice is due to ur radio , as 2.12 radio always do this , flash 2.10.50.26 radio and ur voice will be normal ... and it will work
I've tryed a lot of rom+radio combination. Robotic voice is gone but Echo still a big problem for me.
Please if you are an european HD2 user and haven't echo problem write detailed ROM and Radio versions. Maybe it helps to us
ex:. |WWE|LEO| Energy |Jul 24| 21911| * CHT + Radio xxx

robotic voice is not radio related , is only rom related. echo can be radio related but not robotic voice . tell ppl the true man .
I am using an old version of Energy ROM (4th of July) with a 2.10.50.26 radio and I don't have the robot voice issue. I do have the echo problem though...
Here are my specs with no robot calls:
TMOUS 1024MB
MIRI 17.6
HSPL3
2.12.50 Radio
CableDet NoSpeedy ZImage 7.23
I put clrad.exe in startup , I disable sense & use titanium. Run haret.exe, no issues for me.

like in Readme says more ppl in US are getting a good voice..
but most ppl in europe are having robot/echoes problem.. so if anyone have a clear voice in europe/outside US.. maybe you can post the combinations...

When you say you put clrad.exe in starup, do you mean :
- You put the .exe into /Windows Folder
- Or you add the code to startup.txt ?
First i tried different Android builds with Duty Rededemption V2 an 2.10 Rom. Didn't work. Now with the newest zbuild (23.7) an the Android build Tarantula V1 and Dan's 2.2 Sense Prew no more robotic Voice. Seems there is even no Problem with the rom just a problem with the development

Just run it by clicking on it. There will be no application poppin up. It just does its work.
Just flashed ti Miri's latest. 17.6 I think?
Robot voice all gone. Sounds is good. Sweet. Still running 2.12 radio
I now notice that I have no camera or torch lite and camera does not work however is used to work. Ideas?
My setup is:
EU HD2
MIRI 17.6
HSPL3
2.12.50 Radio
CableDet NoSpeedy ZImage 7.23
I have bad background noise too!
As it seems there are some other hardware differences between the EU and US models than just the RAM/ROM!!

i disagree i'm using 2.12 radio with miri elegancia v10.0 without any issue
I've tried both 2.10 and 2.12 Radios! No difference with Miri's, NRJ's or Dutty's ROM! All possible combos I've tried does not produce a clear voice for the other party! This is on an EU HD2!
Just a quick question, is there any Andriod ROMS that are compatable with the the new tmo release (ie 2.14 radio) without getting the robot voice?
I have tried several of them and they all load up and run, but they all have the robot voice, should I reflash an older radio?
Thanks in advance.

there is no problem with radio 2.14 .. but with the rom ..
which rom are you using??
and all the latest "custom" roms dont have the problem of robotic voices for android
From what I've read in other threads it seems to be the 2.x.51 radios that have robot issues. 2.x.50 all seem to be okay.
Just using a cooked beta release of the stock 3.14 Rom from TMO, I have tried so many I forget who did this one.
ROM ver 2.00.1
Radio ver 2.14.50.04
I will stick with this radio and try a different ROM again, maybe it will work this time.
Thanks for the help

Try this: http://leoandroid.com/viewtopic.php?f=212&t=168
Ill be posting a new rom soon. Finishing my new tutorial now
I was wondering if it was possible to install Android on the stock ROM 3.14 WWE (radio 2.15.50.14). I would like to install android without having to use HSPL because I'd like to keep the phone under warranty
Nahh
Tried doing that. My WM locked up totally. It would start, but NO 3'rd party progs worked. I could not uninstall, nor install.
The only thing that worked was to reset WM.
So i ran the HSPL part, upgraded WM to Dutty, upgraded the Radio, and Android ran smoothly.
I'm not sure if all WM's will lock up, but i only speak for my self.
Btw, my was stock Norwegian.
Good luck
It does work on the latest ROM (3.14). Plenty of people have had it working, me being one of them. It's definitely a good solution for those who don't want to have to upgrade HSPL in order to get a newer radio.
I've been always using Stock roms, and Android has always worked perfectly here.
Currently using 3.14 German Stock Rom + MDJ 1.7 Android room. working flawlessly.
stock orange rom
I am using a stock orange rom. I did HSPL3 and updated the radio to 2.14.50.04.
I went for the FroyoStone_Sense_V3.2 build, and have had no stability issues. I use this as my main phone and never revert back to winmo.
Like most I do suffer from data drops, but get around it by toggling airplane mode.
Hi, two seperate things here, you can run it on a stock rom see my sig, but you must install HSPL3.
Mines working just fine...
Didn't alter the WinMo ROM, radio, or even SPL. Just cut & pasta the Android ROM files to SD Card, and magic!

No, you don't need to install hspl. A radio version >2.08 is enough. Recent stock ROM has 2.15
having HSPL is safer .. I am running the Tmobile stock with hspl ,running Mdeejay Evo and works like a charm .
I don't see how having HSPL could possibly be any safer for running Android from your sd card, as Android doesn't use or touch your SPL at all. You are perfectly safe to run Android on a stock rom, as long as you have a X.XX.50.XX radio everything will be as if you were to run it on a cooked rom
