Just a quick question, is there any Andriod ROMS that are compatable with the the new tmo release (ie 2.14 radio) without getting the robot voice?
I have tried several of them and they all load up and run, but they all have the robot voice, should I reflash an older radio?
Thanks in advance.

there is no problem with radio 2.14 .. but with the rom ..
which rom are you using??
and all the latest "custom" roms dont have the problem of robotic voices for android
From what I've read in other threads it seems to be the 2.x.51 radios that have robot issues. 2.x.50 all seem to be okay.
Just using a cooked beta release of the stock 3.14 Rom from TMO, I have tried so many I forget who did this one.
ROM ver 2.00.1
Radio ver 2.14.50.04
I will stick with this radio and try a different ROM again, maybe it will work this time.
Thanks for the help

Hello.
When booting into an Android (2.2) based ROM, everything seems to be working fine. The only problem that I have come in contact with is the audio speed. Music plays too fast, is sped up, etc. I did make sure to click the "clrcad" file before booting into Android.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance!

I have the same problem, what can I do to resolve it? Im a rookie so please go easy on me
I'm running the minimal ChuckyDriod WM Rom with 2.12 radio rom and the combo works great for any android build I've tried.
Various stickies have info for flashing roms.

I had the same problem when I first installed android, running Chuckyrom and radio Leo_RADIO_2.12.50.02_2. I swapped the radio to Leo_RADIO_2.10.50.26** and that got rid of the audio problems.
Lately I've installed ChuckyDroid and are now running android without any major hick-ups.
Hello Everyone,
I do not have any experience with HTC HD2 or android, but decided to try, so excuse me for lame questions.
My device is US T-mobile 1024 Flash
I installed HSPL (2.08) for US T-mobile 1024 Flash, Cookie Energy Rom and updated Radio to 2.12 and still have robot voice.
Previously, I had radio 2.10 with robot voice, so that is why I moved to 2.12 version.
I also have dual-boot installed and to make sure that everything goes fine I started windows and then manually executed:CLRCAD.exe and Hareit.exe.
Still robot voice.
Just note, I know that CLRCAD.exe does not do anything visible, but it is not even clear if it was execute.
Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated.
I tried searching the forum, but search function is currently down.

what android rom are you running? what kernal are you using.Id say more than not the robotic voice thing is more dependant on the radio and the kernal more so than the rom.
I use energry rom's and I've never had robotic voice. I am also currently using radio 2.14 with shubcraft 1.5 ppp.
I am using the Tmobile 578mb version of theHD2 and after I had went through about three roms I found one that worked for me.
I am using the mattc leo froyo 1.8 and it is working perfectly. (wifi/phone/et all).
hope that helps.

Thank you everyone for the reply.
So I guess I should look for the optimal combo of WM ROM and Android (kernel)
Right now I have
WM Rom Energy Cookie 21916
Radio 2.12.50.02.2
Android: darkstone HD2Froyo V2.1 - Release Date: 17.Aug.2010 - darkstone 2.6.32.9 #36 Kernel:
Before I had different android: mccm v1.5 customize build
Still robot voice.
If you deceide to replay, please state what device you have. My is US T-mobile 1024Flash

Tmous with ChuckyDroid & 2.12 radio & no longer get robot voice in any android builds I've tried since (mainly using Bangster's).
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=734238
It is a very minimal WinMo rom though.
Thank you!
ChuckyDroid and radio 2.12 worked perfectly. No robot voice anymore.
Another problem, GPS does not work. Have to search forum!
Thanks again!
Dear Friends i've installed the new rom from HTC 3.14 with radio 2.15.
Android start and work fine but the audio during a call is robotic as an first version of Android.
Can anyone help me to solve this problem?
Thanks at all.
Excuse for my english: i'm italian!
2.15 has been hit with many problems for us HD2 Android users, so that would be my first thing to change. If that doesn't fix it, try a more android friendly WinMo Rom but stick with 2.14 while you test.

Thanks for your answer.
I've installed Android with old stock ROM 1.66 and radio 2.15 and this work fine.
Only with new original ROM HTC 3.14 audio is robotic.
The new radio does not allow HSPL ...
Robotic voice is mainly caused by the winmo rom, and the use of new audio drivers. Flash the winmo to a different rom like Energy, ChuckyDroid, or VBN.
I'm having some issues with my T-Mo HD2 after returning to the stock ROM. I upgraded to the new 3.whatever radio, and it's just not working for me. I have the newest ROM, but what radio should I have?
I mean, I know I can try out all the different ones, but if I hadn't screwed with it, what should I have?

2.10.531 rom - 2.08.50.08_2 (no longer available for some reason)
2.13.531 rom - 2.10.50.26
3.14.531 rom - 2.14.50.04
Thanks! I appreciate it.
I have now tried a few versions of Android and each crash when I do something like update Weather or download APPs. so this would seem to be a problem around the radio or base WinMob version.
I have Artemis 45 so my Radio had to be at highest stock release indeed it is 2.15.50.14 - which seems to be acceptable for most android releases.
Can anyone suggest what could be causing the crashes and hopefully a solution?
I really want to see Android stable before I make the complete switch.
Thanks in advance

Reading the radio thread it implies that I have to use hspl but I believe that isn't compatible with 3.14 rom. Is this correct?

No, is fully supported. I am currently using:
ROM: Energy.Leo.29005.Sense2.5.Cookie.2.0.Dec.13. (Based on ROM 3.14)
RADIO: 2_12_50_02_2
No more crashes!

I am having problems doing this.
As my Rom is now SPL 3.03.0000 then I can't load HSPL as it is not one of the 1.x or 2.x in the list.
I can't even load the Energy rom as its requires HSPL :-(
any suggestions?

Why do you want to downgrade the radio? Any radio that is 2.08 or greater (with a .50, not .51) is fine for Android, so you should never need to downgrade it.
hi i have the same radio i did my update with tmobile hspl then i flash the energy rom last reles. then froyostone then im using the nexus one dev. for android2.2.1 everything works and is fast all apps work and phone calls mounting my sd card and all

As I mentioned with radio 2.15.50.14 I get crashes in Android when doing thinks like updating the weather or downloading apps.
2_12_50_02_2 - is recommended by a lot of folks as fully stable with android builds. also it isn't just one version of the android builds as I have tried quite a few.
Thanks
Tony

I still am having the same problem.
Today I did
1) did a Task29
2) reinstalled Energy rom
3) reformatted the SD card and put the content back
4) started Android. but it crashed on doing a download
The radio I am runnign is 2_12_50_02_2 which seems to work for others.
Am I missing anything?
