[Q] Can I Flash a different Kernel on a DFT Nand build?

I would like to go back to using MDJ CM7 v2.6 (DFT flash) but the kernel that comes with it gets pretty bad signal drops in my house. I have recently tried a ROM that has the tytung R6 kernel and im getting better signal but this particular ROM is not as smooth for me as the MDJ one was. Is there a way to flash the tytung kernel onto the MDJ build? I tried with CWR but it wouldnt boot it said 'kernel failed' or somethin like that...
If the kernel has a install.bat method, you could always try that.

[Q] Tytung R10 is ok.. Tytung R11/R12b1 no

I have tried those kernels with PAT's JW Miui sense..
Tytung R10: everything works great, battery drain fast..
Tytung R11/R12b1: after a call using bluetooth, microphone/speaker was mute until reboot; bluetooth isn't stable..
Has somebody those issues?
Try this rom: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=17232182
Comes with jw tytung kernel which is modified version of tytung r11

Looking for an Undervolt Kernel compatible with CM7.1 stable

All suggestions welcome
most of the ones found in DEV area seems to be specific to the original Samsung ROM
there's:
Semaphore for JVT
TalonDEV 0.5.1-RC1 for Samsung GBs
Glitch V12 beta 3 (is for CM7 and MUIU but it doesn't look appealing to me)
MIDNIGHT-0.7.6 (i like this the most but is not for CM7)
GALAXIAN for JVT
I want a CM7 + UV Kernel to save battery
I use platypus, the best IMO.
There is also fugumod.
Glitch. Superosr would be my first choice but he chooses not to release kernel separately.
Hello.I am using MIUI 1.10.21 (2.3.7) at 1.2Ghz with UV
i'm testing the glitch v12 beta 3 kernel since yesterday...(the LL Version) and it seems stable
I have used the platypus r17-18 for 2 weeks and no problem with stability
both have similar features
There are 3 that you can use all of them I believe are UV compatible..
fugumod
neo\platypus
glitch
I think the stock CM7.1 kernel also does UV.

Amazing kernel with good battery drain

I am using Typhoon CM7 ROM, 3.7.6. The original kernel is Tytung14. It is good but not many options (like CPU governer) to play with. Later, I played with Dorimanx kernel for several versions. Version 3.3 is good. After that, 3.4 to 3.9 was unstable and not suitable for daily use. However, the 4.0 is good and fast again.
Recently, I noticed a kernel created by Seadersn. The version I found was seader_R9, which is the original kernel of Hyperdroid ROM AGAIN. The hyperdroid used another 2.6.35 line in the previous version but switched back to seader kernel in the latest ROM. I flashed the seadersn kernel to use with the Typhoon ROM. I must say it is really stable and battery saving. I know it is an old kernel but I like its efficiency and stability.

Help me choose kernel

Hi all,
Can you explain the different of kernels? (tytung, Dorimanx, fikret, seadersn, ...)
Which kernel is best for battery, performance, ...
I heard somewhere
Dorimanx kernel is best for performance.
seadersn kernel is best for battery.
tytung kernel is best for stable.
Is that right? I need your experience about these.
Thanks all.
PS: I use HTC HD2 both ICS & GB.
So, "what is the best rom" people now evolved into "what is the best kernel" people?
Kernels/ROMs are subjective, what works for me may not AND DOES NOT HAVE to work out for you. Try each and every Kernel, and settle for the one YOU like.
