Hi,
I want to use my HD in the car in landscape mode. I have deactivated TF3D and I'm using Gyrator2 for turning the display - everything fine so far...
The problem is, that the HTC Dialer doesn't work properly in Landscape mode. My only solution so far is to switch off the HTC dialer and use the standard WM6 dialer with a registry tweak:
HKLM\Security\Phone\Skin DWORD Enabled --> 0
But that also switches off the bluetooth status icon in the status bar on top, and it is not really satisfying.
anybody here who has a better solution for the problem, or has a working htc dialer in landscape?
regards jan
other way 'round:
does anybody know how to solely (re-) ACTIVATE the bluetooth status icon in the top status bar after it is dactivated by the reg-entry above (not how to change back the reg-entry, just to get back the bt-status-icon with the htc dialer still deactivated)...
...or does anybody at least have a solution / program to see the actual bt-status on the home screen?
regards jan

Programs such as phonealarm (pocketmax.net) can give you the option to see the status of your bluetooth, wifi etc. The main benifit is that you only have to press the icon to enable/disable bluetooth etc. The program is skinable and offers many other features.
I've just applied the reg edit that you have made, but for another reason. The HD also suffers from the 2 - 3 second delay before it rings. Changing back to the windows dialer appears to solve this issue (also giving faster boot time and more available memory).
another problem with this regedit trick is that it desactivate the volume ajustement when speaking... So it's realy anowing... Anyway to solve this problem???

I use landscape view on my diamond too, I just wonder does the HTC DIALER for TOUCH PRO or PRO2 's dialer works properly in landscape mode?
If yes, how come no one port it to HD or Diamond?
Some diamond's cooked ROM 's a landscape dialer , but it just does not pop up while there's a incoming call .......
Hi,
It's possible, turn off screen when i got new sms? And turn off screen after missed call??
But, please tell me step by step, what can i do? I'm newbe windows mobile user, and never changed in registry.
P.S Xperiatweak doesn't work.
you want your device to turn off if you recieve a sms when you'r pda is on?
He wants to disable input / turn off the screen.
It is possible with XperiaTweak, I've done it myself.
So, when a new message arrives, the screen does not wake up.

Hi -
Having a problem with SMS notification. Don't remember whether it started after I installed HD Tweak or before.
If I specify via HD tweak not to wake up a phone when SMS arrives - I receive no sound/vibrate notification on sms unless I switch on the screen.
If I specify to wake up a phone, then everything works fine - vibrate works, BUT the screen also switchs on and so I can make accidentally touches
So is it possible to have Vibrate, Sound and NO switching on the screen when I receive SMS on the HTC Diamond2?
Yeah, i never found a solution to this myself.
So i've installed Pocketshield (disabled everything but the slide-locking), and enabled the WakeUp in the registry.
This is the default behavior, at least on my device. When I first got the device it annoyed me that I had to turn on the device manually to read a message, so I changed the reg value that controls the screen on on new messages. Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be a similar fix (reg value) for incoming emails though.

PK

what reg tweak did you use?
or do you mean that you have enabled switching on the screen - in the same way as it is done via HD Tweak?

My device is stock and it has that behavior default! When I receive a SMS, a sound and vibration announce me, while the screen remains off!

to check “Vibrate” from Setting/Sounds&Notifications.
Then you can have " virbrate function " under suspend mode when SMS incoming~ have fun~
Hi
You should be able to fix these problems be increasing the "resuming from suspend timeout" values under Power using Advanced Config. By default it is one second which often isn't enough time for the phone to sound/vibrate when an SMS is received so try changing it to 10 or 15 seconds. When it is one second the phone goes back to sleep too quickly and sometimes the sound or vibration hasn't had to time be triggered.

Phil

It's not about keyboard sound while typing, but it's off. I'd like to turn off the "beep" sound while dialling phone number with dialler.

It should say "keypad", not keyboard, but you could have at least looked after he'd made the effort to help.
Go to Settings>Menu>All Settings>Personal>Phone and set the Keypad option to "None".

Hello there,
could you please tell me WHERE the default wallpapers of Android 2.2 / CM10.1 are stored and how I can delete some of them and add some others to this location (maybe it is just a directory or is it more tricky)?
And could you also tell me, how I can remove Android 2.2's sms/mms smilies?
Very much thanks,
fooness

regarding the smileys i think you can disable them off in the keyboard settings or even better just go into the sms app and press settings scroll down and it should be under emoji and untick that if you do not want to use them

Hi, thanks for your answer.
You can replace the smilies-button with an newline/enter-button, yes. And you can disable emojis, that's also correct. But I didn't find a way yet to disable the graphical android smilies. So if I get/write an sms/mms and I use a smilie like : - ) (without spaces), then the graphical smilies are shown and they are really annoying. : /
