[Q] Stock System Dump? - Fascinate General

I just flashed jt1134's Super Clean DI01 + AOSP apps and I enjoy it but I really prefer a few of the stock apps. (Namely: Music, Mms, Camera puzzle_lock and clock) that were replaced. So, if someone could link me to a stock system dump that I could nit-pick out of that would be great.
P.S. I'm pretty noob so if this is something that sounds noobie or that is completely inaccurate, I apologize.

The question is fine, the lack of searching is kinda n00b.. Just search for system dump, it's around here somewhere.

noob help with XXLPY official firmware mods (batt%, call recording, etc)

Hello guys.
I flashed the German XXLPY firmware with the CWM modified kernel and now I was looking for a couple of mods I used to have with ALBA.
I would like to stick with the official ROM + mods, instead of installing third parties ROMs, just in case.
(1) Battery % mod. I've been searching a bit and only found '15 toggles mod' but it's blue themed and as I said before I would like to stay stock looking.
I also checked UOT kitchen and didn't find the GNote resolution, and also saw some users had problems uploading the apropiate files to the kitchen, so I discarded it. Any ideas on a nice % battery mod?
(2) Call recording. I miss the possibility of recording calls. I've seen an App in the devs forum but people are having issues with them...
Any help out there? Thanks in advance.

Deodex stock Galaxy S3 ROM!?

I've been banging my head for last day or so trying to deodex ROM with either oneclick: http://forums.acsyndicate.net/showthread.php?113-Re-Odexing-script which errors out saying "we have no root access" but i think its more than that (the app is really old and not sure how well it works anyways), this trusted method: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1600805 after pulling each file successfully errors red on every single app when i start deodexing This kitchen that rom cookers use: https://github.com/dsixda/Android-Kitchen i think requires linux partition, and i dont even want to cook roms at this point.
All in all, all im trying to do is change priority of TW launcher to number 1 to maximize smoothness (curious thou if anyone tried it on US Galaxy S3) but after going through so much just to get there, i might as well just ask: Can anyone just deodex this rom: http://d-h.st/tTY
I dont want to install Custom Firmware because of samsung things they get rid of
bump, anyone?
Im looking for it 2. I just want stock deodexed rom till that imei crap gets fixed

[Q] Stock apps in flashed phone?

Hey there, new to the community and the rooting world, please excuse my lack of vocabulary.
I was wondering if it's possible to have some of the stock apps while using CyanogenMod. Like keeping the split screen, S Memo, S Planner and such. I was thinking if I flashed into my backup of the stock ROM, back up the .apks of said apps, flash back to CyanogenMod and install them, would that work? It'd be a bit of a hassle, so if anyone knows a faster method, or if there's already someone who has something similar done.
Thanks in advance.

[Q] should i upgrade to lollipop?

Hey there!
i own Note 3 n9005 MJ7 rooted ,stock rom, with TWRP Recovery and my Jellybean 4.3.
i have highly customized my phone to the point its perfect for me, from the apps i need to its design.
my question is, there are some apps id like to buy install like UPSM, and i cant because it wont run on JB.
should i upgrade to LP? will it do something to my apps and designs? my data? my root??
waiting forward for your reply! thanks!!
My advice is stay with what you have. I "upgraded" to the Polish stock rooted Lollipop a couple of weeks ago and have had not end of grief with buggy apps (Titanium Backup & Dropbox) and battery drain. I will probably go back to Kitkat because the SD card permissions policy with Lollipop is making my phone almost unusable. Kitkat 4.4.2 is very good, especially with Xposed.
Get a custom rom
I just ditched the Polish ROM I mentioned above & have flashed Alexandr's Devbase ROM and all the problems I was having with the Polish ROM have melted away. No more annoying SD Card permissions nonsense!
thanks for replying... how would a custom rom help me with my issues?
any other more relevant suggestions maybe?

There's not a major issue with keeping your set up as you like it. LP and/or AOSP/CM ROM's can all be set up how you want, usually quite easily. Even with a clean flash it takes maybe an hour to do.
Not sure what the above issue with TiBu was - works fine for me but I have stopped Restoring Apps DATA and only restore the apps.
Before I change ROMs I make sure...
- full Nandroid of current system is done
- New ROM and SuperSU are on my extSDCard
- TiBu is up to date with backups to extSDCard
- Titanium app is backed up to a zip file on the extSDCard
- Contacts are exported to extSDCard
- Call Logs Backup and Restore is done to extSDCard
- SMS Backup & Restore is done to extSDCard
- Settings are backed up using ROM Settings Backup to extSDCard
- I have copies of my various folders needed over on extSDCard. examples are SPenCommand, Notifications, Ringtones, AutomateIt and Viper4Android
Then I can do whatever I like and Restore things easily to exactly how I like them
As I said, takes about an hour from full wipe (except MicroSD obviously ) to new setup.
I'd wait for 5.1.x... but Lollipop is ok. I just don't think in terms of battery life and smoothness as good as KK yet. 5.1x should improve things.
Custom roms are fine - but many think their custom rom is the best and works great --- yet when you try them, you find bugs. So just be aware that nothing is really flawless - it just depends what you're willing to live with. Be sure to read about each rom and any issues before flashing (and follow instructions carefully).
I will follow Bendigo but adding.
My 2 cents..
Upgrade your mobile to every available option after JB.. taste it..
There is always a way to revert back if you are not happy..
Try/test things, if you came till here to make a new topic

Really guys i need help! I'm not an expert installing stuff, but i've been trying to help my gf moving apps to SD, with android assistant, deleting cache, uninstalling apps, and only have necessary stuff. I do not auto-update apps.

I was planning to downgrade to stock CHO 5.1.1 ROM J500MUBU1APF1 but i think the problem will persist.
Can someone guide me to a good stable rom that deletes all the garbage that comes with stock like Opera,Knox, S fuc.. Health? Things like that. I was hoping the stock rom rule is always better will work here but you guys knows that this cellphone is poop.
Help me please! :crying:

Hi there
Well if you care too much about stability and battery save i prefer you to use sep8.5(there is also lite version of this rom that)
But if you look for more space on internal strange and have latest os i prefer to use bootleggers or linage os pie
All of these rom don't have unnecessary things and are great and tested by my self many many times (it's just fun and new experience for me)
And you can also install all your apps and your apps's cache to your sd card(but it should be great and powerful)

Thanks for your reply.
In essence i need, all the default standard stock apps like radio, messages, gmail and camera etc everything working stable what i don't want is garbage like extra games or browsers like opera/chrome, things that occupy space on the internal storage.
If there's a custom rom with android 5.1.1 that works fluently i prefer that but if there's a custom rom with 6.0./7/8 and so on that works stable/fast with the J5(2015) hardware well i would try that. Which one you recommend with the stuff i mention?
Oh! another thing, can you confirm this are the ones you mention before:
Sep8.5: https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-j5/development/rom-sep-8-5-galaxy-a8-2018-rom-t3796971 << this is the 8.5? looks like 8.0
Sep8.5 Lite: https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-j5/development/rom-sep-8-5-lite-galaxy-j2-2018-rom-t3821600
bootleggers: ???
Linage os pie: https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-j5/development/unofficial-lineageos-16-0-galaxy-j5-t3851124
Really thank you for taking the time to guide me.
