Hey guys,
As all the reviews for the legend pointed out, the camera's a little sub-par. Every picture I take seems to be really grainy and colorless.
Does anyone have any tips or settings to improve performance?
Cheers
Turn up saturation and brightness ?

I noticed that my camera quality is really bad. If you look close to that picture, there is much noise and all the borders are blurred. Even if I look at the spot I focused. The colors also are quite bad... My friends phone make better pictures, we compared them in the same situation.

Can I do anything to make Google fix my camera or to get them do a full RMA?
I can't live with such a poor quality

There is nothing wrong with your phone's camera. However, poor lighting conditions and a shaky hand may have something to do with it ;P

All nexus 4 cameras use the same Sony sensor. RMA won't do you any good, as you can see Google's imaging software is garbage when compared to skinned uis like Samsung or even iOS...

I remember I read something about a better camera on all rev11 devices compared to the rev10 devices. Better satuation, less washed out colors etc. So I tried my friends rev11 n4 and the colors are better, the borders aren't blurred/noisy.

I know the camera will be 8 mega pixels but dies anyone know if the Active will take better pictures in low light scene? Also will the radio's be improved for data reception?
Not sure if troll or just misinformed.

Hi all... are there any plans to improve the camera at all on the note iii? I heard somewhere that they were going to improve macro focus to some degree. I just find that I can't take pics of anything moving unless we are outside in brilliant sunlight. Even sports mode isn't a big help. Tripod helps.. but it's still blurry to some degree.
When I do get a shot just right it's amazing. Clarity is something else with this camera when you mail or just right.

I'm not sure. I feel you about them low light/fast moving pictures. But like you said, with the right amount of light, the Note 3 takes gorgeous pictures!

Have you tried burst shot? Turn it on it settings and just hold the shutter button down.

Is it just me or does this camera have issues adjusting to light?
It seems like my camera struggles unless its in direct sun light.. Is this an issue?
I'll attach a picture with decent lighting not The best

I found that setting the Metering from the Default Center Weighted to Matrix helps A LOT, at least it did in my case. Give that a try.
Can anyone explain to me why all the reviews for the camera and pictures I see from others note seem to be amazing yet all I seem to get is grainy images am I missing something?

For me turning off the night stabilisation mode & setting auto flash made it better in low light places. Can't say I've had any issues with daylight photos.

maybe different setting
and maybe problem with ur variant and will solve by an update
and also it can be hardware problem in last step IF u become sure no software problem
so
1. play with settings
2. search for other users that exactly in same firmware with u and compare photo ...
3. if u find any different (bad quality in urs) try to flash another stock rom (from another regions)
4. if nothing change take it for service to check lens
:good:

The camera has Jeckel and Hyde characteristics.Outdoor shots are superb for a smartphone but when you venture indoor or at night,it takes pretty awful photos.Smart Stabalisation brightens things up and limits noise but you lose all detail. If you crop in, faces and objects look like cartoon drawings. There is only so much you can do with a small sensor so I think the N3 needs a dedicated night mode and better software.don't hold your breath though.Samsung will fix this issue up but only when the N4 arrives with their isocell technology.
If you want decent photos at night you need to use the flash but the flash doesn't work well past 10 ft.
