I just didn't want to answer more like reject the call

The power button reject the call and if you have voice mail, it will pop up.

cover the speaker hole with your thumb

Press the -volume button once and the phone will go to silence until the call is ignored. It won't reduce the ringing volume. Hope this helps, I also struggled initially.

Actually, the Camera button will silence the ringer for any and all notifications/phone calls.

You can also use the camera button to take pictures. That is if you have a half hour to wait for the software to get loaded up!

I don't have a problem with you posting, but I do have a problem with the obvious trolling you're doing. Try to keep it civil, dude. The guy had a question, and people are trying to answer it. If you wanna troll, do it in your threads.

I have been completly civil. You have called me a troll at least 15 times. I have only called you one once.
You love coming to my threads and starting arguements and name calling. You are not even remotely objective about SE's failure or this devices bugs. Do you work for SE, because you sure do take any negatives about this X10 hunk of junk personally?

How does asking questions about another comment which was about taking pictures have to do with rejecting a call?

Suggestion: vibrated keyboard, keypad etc.

I can't remember -maybe EZDial- there is a keypad software that vibrate phone when you press any key.
Can someone develop this feature for HTC's keyboards and keypads. This feature not same hard key but feel the key if pressed or not pressed. And easy use without looking key. eg. SMS writing....
sorry for bad english.
I don't think that this has anything to do with ROM development. Mods please move this thread.

sorry but i think that will be a killer app for diamond and if cooks cook it in it is relevant for this rom developement thread ;-)
I agree too.
I had this feature on my last LG Viewty.
It's really usefull when u press the keypad per exemple.
Sur it's no good for the battery, but, as an external application that can be switched off/on when we want... hummm could be cool!
i had this on a viewty too, then i send back the viewty after 2 days for not syncing with like 10 different pcs, dont add this feature, or make it a option instead of a always-on-thing, because i really dont want to remember that viewty, seriouslly

Despite the anguish that this application would apparently cause to suicidal.banana (seriously, just don't install it!) I think this would be awesome too...and the same idea is floating around in two or three other threads as well.
I'm coming from p1i and having lost the feeling of pressing a real key is a mess.
I think a very small vibration when a character is pressed would be a great idea

Are you a mod? I personally don't mind suggestions in a thread. Helps me feel out the consensus of the thread.
I know someone made a program like this for the Kaiser, I don't know if it would work here though.

it works even tough by now it introduces some small delay when scrolling the touchflo. it's worth a try anyway

What you guys want is called Haptic Feedback. Phone would vibrate when a button on the touch screen is pressed so that it feels like you're pressing a real button.. sort of.
I would like this too! haha. Even the Sony Ericsson G700 has this feature.

Galaxy S Antennagate Issue

I can't understand a word the guy is saying. The phone has AT&T's service recording blabbering all along, and the dude's voice is too weak to hear anything.
That aside, the result is clear- even holding it in an extremely un-natural way in an attempt to obstruct reception, nothing drastic happens. Still jumps between 2-3 bars.
Strange i can hear everything said.
Are you holding your computer properly?
......that was the best reply i got in ages. Almost worthy of a screencap.
Anyways, earphones on, i can now understand what he said.
Too bad this video won't get even 1/1000 the views of any video showing "problems".
I think its partly due to the fact that the galaxy s doesnt have any issues like the iphone4 why it wont get any attention like it.

hey dude seriously though, one night i spent hours trying to search for something before i made a post. and it doesn't help that one must wait thirty seconds before searching again, and low and behold someone already posted a thread about it. the only thread in the whole forum i'm guessing, but yet i wasn't able to find it only because my words were not exactly that of the original thread. My point being is that this is a cool website where people go to help each other out. and the only thing i find more annoying than multiple threads resembling the same subjects, is the one person trolling around slapping links to other threads while being unnecessarily rude about it. if this is really all the better you can do to be polite in this forum then maybe you should switch to apple and continue to hold yourself above others and have it be accepted by the elitist peers you would gain. other than that do the world a favor and play nice. please.

Thanks again for the direction, unfortunately I have a T-Mobile US Tab so I have no dialer to enter this settings menu through. Any other suggestions? Also, the low volume I'm looking to fix is in the media player- when I watch movies, other media, the volume seems incredibly low...
Install euro firmware to get the dialer and then the modem switcher to get call/3g data functionality.

In fact the Search function doesn't work,at least on my Galaxy tab. Hen I clidk on Search this forum, a window pops open and when I click in it to bring up the keyboard,it disappears! So I go to advance search, where at least I can type something but it always says no results found!
I've been avoiding flashing my sgt, not that I don't have the ability but more-so because I don't want to have to set everything back up again.
However, after reading this thread, it's another reason to flash me thinks

I just reminded you of a forum rule, you probably didn't read. I said search in a friendly way, and did not use any insult.
I posted a volume fix for the tab, so I know if you searched, you could find it. What litters the threads are the same questions repeatedly asked by people who don't do their work, and the people who argue and insult.
If you disagree with someone, you should say so, and stay away from insults.

Hit the damn thanks button...

Seriously....its not hard. And no, trolls, I'm not whining because no one thanks my posts. Just look around at the ratio of downloads : thanks. You'll find simple .apk posts that have 110 views, but the post was only thanked 4 times. Please don't try to tell me that all 106 other people used the XDA app to download. I realize that you can only give 5 thanks a day, and the app has no button, but everyone here knows theres always been a serious lack of appreciation here in the Vibrant forum.
It's the easiest, most effortless way to show appreciation to someone, yet it seems at least half the forum can't take .28 seconds to hit the thanks button. Don't just download and run guys. Slam that button, and do it with a smile...cause you would expect the same.
Any time you download posted content, either via link, or via attachment...it is out of courtesy that you hit it every time....regardless of whether or not you liked the content. Also...dont just thank popular devs. Even if its someones first post, they still deserve recognition.

Nobody cared about getting thanks until the thanks button showed up. I don't care if someone wants to feel special because some stranger on the internet clicked a button. Now all anyone does is solicit thanks from some nerds they don't even know. Who gives a damn.

youre such a rebel badass....classic vibrant user
yah we wouldnt want you to strain your finger muscles or anything. And the reason the "Thanks" button showed up was because of popular demand. It is a widespread feature across internet forums. Some people actually enjoy giving thanks....even if it is through a virtual, meaningless button......its certainly better than your deplorable attitude.
"hey, we'll take all the free roms, kernels, themes, apps, mods, etc. that we can get!! just dont expect us to press a 'Thanks' button, because WE think its a cheesey concept."
you dont care if someone wants to feel special?? interesting, well id bet youd want that person to care if you downloaded something of theirs and there turned out to be something wrong with it, right? Youre the type of person that downloads something....doesnt say thanks or leave any positive feedback....but then once you find something wrong, something you dont like, or something you WANT, THEN you will make the effort to jump on the forum and say a thing or two.
The bottom line is it doesnt matter what the hell you think about the Thanks button. If someone is kind enough to provide you with something that improves your phone experience, and all they ask from you to do in return is to move your mouse a couple inches to click the Thanks button?????....then you hit the friggen Thanks button!...quid pro quo, clarice.....

No I don't contribute much, but I try to help when I can. What I don't do is start threads whining about people not using the thanks button. Maybe I just don't get what the obsession is about the thanks button. Is it a popularity contest, or is their an achievement that we can unlock like in XBL or PSN?

The reason they leave, mainly, is for site hits. But I also think it's because the moderating on xda is so inconsistent, and sometimes hypocritical.
By keeping their content in a forum that they control, they are likely to have cleaner, productive threads...because anyone that flames/hinders production will ACTUALLY get disciplined.
But yes, I do agree that blasting the forum on the way out is cowardly....but I'm not going to point fingers. Just keep in mind that I kind of see where they are coming from.....people can be very unappreciative, and will jump at any chance to get on each other's case (see members above)....it gets annoying after a while, and starting a controlled environment can really cut that type of **** down...as opposed to letting the critters roam free

I find this thread hysterical. My thoughts...
I LOVE when someone hits "thanks" - it is natural to feel good when someone appreciates you/your efforts.
I HATE when...
people whine about not getting thanks
or make posts about "click thanks" (defeats the f'ing point of the button / clutter)
and I hate when people make their signatures all about hitting their thanks button.
Both sides of the "argument" are right in this thread.
