Hard reset - Epic 4G General

Would doing a hard reset and restoring stuff via titanium backup pretty much bring back the problems from before the reset?

Data not restroring!!!

When my Wing(Herald) waas in perfect condition with all the software i needed, i performed a full system backup using HTC Backup 3.1. Then when i was experimenting around, i screwed up with some things, so i thought i'll just Hard reset and then restore the backup. But when i did hard reset and downloaded the utitlity again and went to the backup file it started to restore the data, but at 2% is just stopped and performed a soft reset, and noone of my prgrams returned. What can i do to restore my data???????

Hard reset with just rebooting after a backup?

im am using CRC 13.0 rom and when i back up and install the backup to a new install (hard reset) it will lag and cause me to reset it and it just hangs at the windows mobile screen and then i would have to start the process all over with a hard reset.. what causes this?
If the reason you did a hard reset at the start was because of this issue, then it may be something that you backed up causing the problem. Backing up the registry and the os is a good idea when its working fine, BUT, if there is some problem with the phone, backing up may just save the problem for the next install. Its best in these circumstances to just back up contacts and sms's and do a clean install...
My experiences taught me this.....

Would A Hard Reset Delete Settings To Cricket?

Okay, so what I was wondering is would a hard reset delete the settings? Since I had my Imagio flashed to cricket from the cricket store...
Please help,
thanks....
A hard reset deletes EVERYTHING and restores your phone to factory settings. So, if your phone was not originally on Cricket's network, then those settings will be deleted.

What about a soft reset? and which is the hard and soft reset?
.....a soft reset is powering your phone off, then powering it back on.
..a hard reset is wiping EVERYTHING from your phone and restoring to the way it was out of the box.

[Q] Factory Reset Q's

My tpt has been acting a little flaky. So, I am thinking a factory reset is in order. But, I don't want to have to set everything up again from scratch. So, I was wondering what would be the best way to backup apps and homescreen config data?
I've done a Titanium Backup of all user apps and system data. But, I'm worried that restoring system data might bring back whatever is causing my current flakiness.
Also, if the factory reset destroys all data on the TPT, how do I save the Titanium data for restoration? Can I copy the Titanium Backup folder to an SD or PC, and restore from there after reset?
Should I temporarily unroot using RK before reset?
I assume I will have to download and re-install RK, TB, and SU after reset. I'm just worried that if my current issue of the Play Store not being able to DL apps isn't fixed by the reset, I'll be screwed.
TIA

[Q] noob question

Whats the difference bethween soft reset and hard reset?
There is no bad choises. Only bad results.
In most cases
Soft reset - reinstall without data loss
hard reset - reinstall wiping all data
