Official Crazy Johns Australia firmware

Hey there, this is my first post on this site.
I searched google extensively and was unable to find the original firmware for my phone. It is on crazy johns.
I currently have froyo 2.2.1 with:
PDA: I9000XXJPU
PHONE: I9000 XXJPU
CSC: I9000 OXAJPU
Build Info: 2010. 12.
Do you mean the original network branded firmware that came with the phone .
You either saved a copy or you find somebody that saved a copy .
Or use the non branded stock samsung firmware from samfirmware and flash via Odin .
jje
Crazy Johns is just a Vodafone subsidiary. So you'd probably have the Vodafone Australia model. Product code VAU.
If CJs was not doing the Voda branded model, then they'd be doing the generic unbranded Australian firmware, which is product code XSA.
Just remembered their is an OZ thread on here somewhere might get more info from the guys on that post .
jje
Thanks for that I'll look it up.
Do you have any idea what firmware I currently have? I've been looking into this on and off for a month and nothing has really come up to help me.

KE7 flash

Hello all,
I am from Slovakia and bought Galaxy S2. My firmware says GINGERBREAD.XWKE2 I9100XXKDJ.
I would like to flash it with KE7 but its not official via Kies in my country. If i do that via ODIN, which version to choose? Is there a big chance to brick my phone?
Thanks

Very very small chance that gets bigger if you do not follow instructions .

Hey guys, sorry for bothering.
I already looked for entries from german users regarding the ke7 flash thing, but didn't find any helpful?! Also i'm below 10 posts so couldn't start a post within the ke... thread.
I'm a noob and confused with the several version available. I already recognized the different csc for language regions, but i'm not sure which one is the newest or correct one for a german sgs2.
May anyone please help me? thanks in advance.
I'm currently on
PDA XWKE2
PHONE XXKDJ
CSC XXKE2
OK, thanks for the info..
So i can flash generic XEU for KE7. If something goes wrong can i revert back to stock rom KE2? Also, what about the region things? Will they remain the same as in KE2?
Ke2 KE4 KE7 KE8 and now KF1
CSC you just want one that includes your area that is XEU = Europe .
listed .

Or check dev section for latest or wait for your official upgrade via Kies .

Latest Official SGS2 STOCK (UK) ROM

Hi,
I have officially become a SGS2 owner from today, having lost my dear HTC Desire, I decided that it was time for a change.
I have a Locked 3 Network SGS2 which I rooted successfully, but want to flash the latest 'official stock rom'...I had comeacross [ROM+Guide]Official i9100 Firmwares KG1/2/3/5/6/7, KH1/2/3/4, KI1/2/3/4/8 thread and was a bit confused to which is the latest; 'Intratech' states that the latest firmware is listed at the bottom which is 'DXKH2' which is '2.3.3' but beyond that list he states:
'All packages below this point have the old bootloader so you can safely reset the binary counter with a Jig.
If you've already flashed a full package from elsewhere or updated using KIES and cannot reset your binary counter using the Jig just flash this package in the PDA or Bootloader section of Odin to replace the bootloaders and then you can reset the counter: http://www.multiupload.com/LQQBRQVJUD'

End of that list is: XWKI8 (Android 2.3.5)
And, there is some more firmwares, I'm not sure if he means end of the post #2 or end of that warning. Please can someone clarify this for me.
How can I get 2.3.5 (latest)?
Much Appreciated!
KI8 is the latest release, but its for Nordic region.
2.3.5 has not been released for all regions.

Thanks, but could you then tell me what is the latest version for my country UK?
After KH2 the next release in the thread KI range has a locked bootloader .
#This means the USB jig no longer resets the custom rom counter to zero .
Custom rom counter goes up one everytime a custom rom or root rom is flashed as both void warranty .
Intratech has packed those later roms with the old bootloader therefore they are hybrids .
The latest official rom is via Kies firmware update for your phone .
As posted above latest official stock rom KH2 posted after that they are non official hacked roms .
KG5 is 2.3.4 in non hacked roms .

Many thanks. Just to make it clear, I am after a Official Samsung released STOCK UNBRANDED ROM for UK which has not been modified in any shape or form as is recognised with 'Kies'
KF3 then with the CPW csc its carphone warehouse unbranded and csc covers most UK networks .

Sorry for being a plague. As I am new to SGS2 Dev, I'd appreciate if you could tell me the exact firmware name of 'KF3'. Thanks!

Your not backwards in coming forward. Be a little more patient in future before bumping, You are probably excited but being on the latest rom isn't suddenly going to make the phone morph into a stealth jet! There's not much point in sticking with official as for warentee repair, you will need to go back to three branded rom (probably)
you need: PDA: I9100XWKI4
PHONE: I9100XXKI1
CSC: I9100CPWKH1
Welcome and good luck.
DO NOT INSTANTLY USE ODIN WITHOUT READING THE FORA OTHERWISE YOU WILL BRICK YOUR PHONE. AVOID PIT FILE OR REPARTITIONING.
should be XWKI4
I have PDA: I9100XWKI4
PHONE: I9100XXKI1
CSC: XEUKH2
CPW (Carphone Warehouse UK): http://www.multiupload.com/00RKZQ4ZM3
KF3
KI4 as posted is hacked boot loader i believe .
Me i wait for II1.

I need to send my phone back to cpw for repair, what firmware should I revert to, I flashed ki8 on friday.
Hi,
Here are the full details (spliced from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1075278):
XWKF3
Firmware info
PDA:XWKF3
PHONE: XXKE7
Build date: 09/06/2011
XEU (Generic UK+Europe) : http://www.multiupload.com/ZZYM5ZAFA0
CPW (Carphone Warehouse UK): http://www.multiupload.com/00RKZQ4ZM3
I personally used the XEU one as it is the most generic.
Don't forget to follow one of the many flashing guides on the forum. I found once I had done the first factory reset I had to do a second one in order for it to pick up the new letter code (XEU).
Then, you can either update to XWKI4 through Kies and get a locked bootloader (but newer android version 2.3.4), plus the handset will still be updateable through Kies because it's all 'official' - or you can flash one from the above thread which has an unlocked bootloader. Or if you are feeling adventurous try one of the hacked 2.3.5.
Thanks

That is not the case. I have have knowledge in ROMs and Kernals as such, I just bought a SGS2 but before I using it I wanted to debrand it and stay updated, so that's why I asked for the latest stock rom.
Nothing more, Nothing less.

On your Galaxy note 2 keypad, then tap *#1234#. Then you will get your firmware info

No, because as far as i know csc from *#1234# don't show what csc your phone is using.
for example entering *#1234# on my note shows: N7100OXXALJ4 but csc is XEO <- and you get firmware update based on this csc.
To determine what csc is set, use this app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.manniakk.cscselector or check kies (csc in brackets)
And if your phone is "open" french, csc should be XEF, and XEF update is available since 20 Dec.
I just plugged into KIES and tried OTA, DBT still hasn't received the update as of 10:30 AM on 24/12/12 +1 (Madrid, Spain). Lame ... PLEASE SAMSUNG! XMAS PRESENT!
Yep.
Samsung makes strange things regarding updates.
N7100XXDLL4 contains OXA multi CSC (BTU, CPW, DBT, ITV, XEF, XEO) and only XEF is released. I don't see any reason, why not to release remaining CSC. Samsung do really strange things.
Edit: only thing that i can think of is exynos exploit.
Merry Christmas Everyone

Chill... Seriously... That's not how to behave here, we won't stand for it.
Is there any way to just freeze the phone at the current OS version without accepting updates? OS updates have been the bane of my existence.
i got mine updated to OTA
XEF France international n7100
To be honest it still feels exactly the same lol, the notifcation toggles is bonus

[Q] Which kitkat version should i choose? I9500

Hello Xda community,
Personally i own an unbranded GS4 i9500( currently i have Android Jellu Bean) and i wanted to know which version of kit kat is the best to update to, since there are many options in sammobile.
- Country: India
PDA: I9500XXUFNB3
CSC: I9500ODDFNB3
And the rest are from different countries(Trinidad and Tobago, Saudi Arabia, Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia) but they have the same PDA and CSC, unfortunately it isnt released in my country yet...
PDA: I9500XXUFNB7
CSC: I9500OLBFNB4
Thank you in advance
The best u can do for avoid problems is:
1- Conect it to Kies 3 for know ur code region. CSC are the 3 letters btw parenthesis. The list of codes for region is HERE
2- Wait the update for ur code region. Why? Each country is different (some have LTE, others only 3g, differents modems, etc).
3- If its try for try.... select the one u wish but take care of the step 2 :highfive:
Indian one is quite stable and battery friendly.

As the i9500 does not have LTE, is safe to flash both. I did saw some improvments in phone calls and time to do the call in the indian version from the latest Omega Rom. The v18 was based on Russian version and v19 is based on indian.
Hope this help.
