InDroid v2.0 XXJPL Final Version (rudolf895) Also a great Rom
Been a noob i never made a backup of the old firmware Is that just a standard message? "This Device's version cannot be updated"
If not, how do i get Kies to work with the phone again?
With the 2.2 firmware coming soon i would like to try it
Thanks for any help
That is the message you get when there is no update available for download. I don't think Samsung has released Froyo update for UK yet..so you need to wait I guess..
When the update is released officially, you will first need to download your original ROM from samfirmware.com, flash it to replace your custom ROM & then Kies will upgrade the ROM with official version.
Today an OTA update of firmware version XXUEMJ8 got released in India. But since I have rooted my phone, it says device has been modified, can't check for OTA.
How can I get the update on my phone.
Hi. This may be a dumb question but I'm just learning all about android. Anyways a few months back I installed a leaked version of Android 4.4.2 (Baseband Version I337UCUFMLD) then when AT&T released the official version of Kitkat(Baseband Version I337UCUFNB1), I didn't receive an OTA update or an update via Kies (and never have since). My question is, is there a way to update/flash/install (or whatever) the official AT&T firmware so my phone is "legit"? Also, if I'm stuck on this firmware for now, will I get a OTA or Kies update when Android 4.4.3 (or whatever the next update is) is released?
Thanks for any help.
1. It's normal don't get updates (OTA and Kies don't support them either) in leaked versions. Remember install Kies 3 for equal or higher firmwares to android 4.3.
2. Way for update ur phone via ODIN: HERE.
3. Only you will receive the updates if you flash STOCK ROM original (firmware in step 2) and you don't root ur phone.
This is a backup device for me to use as a smart remote in my living room. To avoid hassles I accordingly I returned it to the stock rom.
Well today I got an official update to the device of about 240mb. For reference I am on the most recent stock Rogers ROM.
Anyone else see this?
The updated full stock Bell ROM is available on sammobile.com: https://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/database/SGH-I337M/.
The bell ROM can be flashed to a Rogers and Telus s4 too.
Based on the ota update file size, it is probably a bug fix and/or security update.
Hey all. I am in the US but bought international S7Edge when it came out. I dont know what firmware it had I think it was some italian one maybe. Then i rooted and started using custom roms. Then when nougat officially came out for S7Edge i un-rooted and went back to 100% stock using i think Vodafone 7.0 firmware. I think because i rooted i have a negative test response from Knox which i think stops me from getting OTA updates. It shows in software info that my OS version has security patch only from January 2017 so I am clearly not on latest firmware even though OTA says I am on latest.
Is there a site with a database of all firmwares out for the S7Edge international variant So i can find the latest and flash it to my phone since OTA wont get the latest.
samsmobile has the latest.
Yoiu still have an issue with your kernal as phone still thinks you have custom rom. Tripped knox on stock firmware will not stop OTA from downloading.
