Hello Guys,
Can anyone please donwload original HTC touch Viva ROM(Asia) from this http://www.htc.com/sea/SupportDownload.aspx?p_id=175&cat=2&dl_id=422 link? And upload it to some other Mirror as it is asking for Serial No and mine is not matching with it. So Please Help!

No, It's not. It's the upgrade ROM. Please read carefully and follow these steps from HTC instructions before install as follow:

ROM version: 1.27.707.1 WWE ROM date: 09/23/08 Radio Version : 4.1.13.66_03.29.90 * You can check device ROM version from Start -> Setting -> System -> Device Information -> Version.
Installation Instructions:
Description:
1. Update the startup page of Opera in the internet tab
2. Fix Macau CTM weather update query(for Hong Kong only).
IMPORTANT! - please read these instructions carefully before updating your device
1. VERY IMPORTANT! - All files and software on the device will be lost after the update. Please ensure a copy of your important files is backed-up somewhere else.
2. Download the .exe file.
3. The ROM Code can only be updated on HTC Touch Viva English Version Device
4. Ensure Activesync v4.5 (or higher) is installed on PC/laptop for OS WinXP and below. For Windows Vista and above there is no need to install ActiveSync.
5. Connect HTC Touch Viva to PC/laptop.
6. VERY IMPORTANT! - Ensure your device is connected properly to the PC/laptop.
7. Make sure the battery is charged to at least 50%.
8. Double-click on the .exe file to run the update utility.
9. Please close all programs on your PC/laptop when running the update utility.
10. VERY IMPORTANT! - Do not unplug the device when the update process is running, doing so may damage the device.
11. After updating, the device will reboot, this is normal.
12. After ROM code update, application installed from "Application Disc" will no longer exist. Please re-install from Disc and follow origin steps when you first use.

thanks dude really liked the link my battery is back your info gave life to my battery now i dont even remember when i last charge with previous version i had to recharge every 6 hours

as stated = its the same update from March... I guess toshiba decided is was better to send all registered users an email, rather than (or, as well as) update their site to indicate there is a newer 6.5 ROM available... (ie site text still reads "check you're not already running 6.5")

it`s old one. i have downloaded it, unrared it and it`s the one from january i think .toshiba is couple of months late..

official rom downloaded nd flashed.
Today, official rom was downloaded nd flashed. I didnt find any difference. Previous rom i used was argons wm6.5.5 with mnila. now i feel official rom is less busy in appearance nd in s/w. how to rip n make cab of coreplayer pls help its ver is 1.3.1.

Does any one know if the updates posted on the HTC website are really useful? I've installed them and didn't notice any change on my mega.
maybe they were meant for earlier rom versions?

I have a problem with instalation official update Daylight saving time! I'm downloaded update on pc, copy to Touch2 and when I started instalation, message -> Is not valid pocket pc application!

I have an HTC Mozart (T8698) phone.
I've installed HSPL successfully, but everytime i would like to install this Custom ROM, I've got Error: 244 Invalid Model ID.

Back in 7713, it does not work touchxplorer, operator name is not displayed correctly: Orangeyyyy. 7713 version it was OK: Orange SK.

This ROM contains new OEM from 4.XX ROM I think it's why TouchExplorer is not working.

How is the safest way to flash. I have the mango RTM ROM and want to DFT ROM. Is it safe to usw RSPL and HardSPL befor flash? How can I block Zune, that the phone is allways unlocked after the flash?

Is there a tethering app included in this ROM?
Could you provide a XAP for the Slacker Mango app?

Hi Guys Great Rom As Usual Like The Other 2, But Found A Minor Bug, Not Sure If This Is Something To Do With Just My Phone Or Others:
I Have 5 Xbox Live Titles I Use A Lot These Are:
Plants Vs Zombies
Fruit Ninja
Doodle Jump
Bejewled
Angry Birds
None Of These Will Load On The Rom, Just Get A Blank Screen For A Second And Then They Exit Out. Like I Said Not Sure If This Is Just A Bug On My Phone, If Anyone Has The Games Can They Try Them Out For Theirselves, I've Found That Microsofts Minesweeper Works. On The Previous Mango Rom's The Games Have Worked.
If anyone has a similar problem can they post about it, don't really want to have to flash back to 7714 unless I need to

i tried it all of these games work for me and for your problem:

Flashed without incident
Flashed from DFT 7714 to 7720.68 without a hiccup. Took a total of 10 minutes and the same to have Zune fully sync calendar, people (Outlook plus Facebook). The only small issue is the same as I had with 7714...the phone self identifies as a T9292 (HD7) instead of its real identity: T9295 (HD7S). I don't see any impact, but...?
