HOW TO INSTALL A RADIO : -
For installing a RADIO ROM you need HardSPL installed to your device.
Rename the extracted file to "RUU_Signed.nbh" and flash with the CustomRUU

all though not nessecery re-formating your memory card is a must - i had problems with android builds in the past but re-formating memory crad solved nearly all crashes and and slow downs.

SENSE BUILD - copy all files to the ROOT of your memory card not a subfolder i.e haret boot loader should be in E:/HaRet.exe not E:/android/HaRet.exe

easyiest way to boot is to boot windows then go to a file explorer and run CLRCAD.EXE then run HaRet.exe ALWAYS REMEMBER RUN CLRCAD.EXE FIRST AS THIS GIVES ANDROID SOUND DONT WORRY IF IT DOES NOTHING ITS NOT SUPPOSED TO
YOU MUST BOOT ANDROID THIS WAY WITHIN 30 SECOUNDS OF WINDWOS BOOTING OTHERWISE ANDROID WILL RUN IN TURBO MODE AND BE VERY UNSTABLE.FIXED WITH NEW ZIMAGE

Hi All,
I changed the dual boot cab from yozgatg.
It now puts clrcad.exe to the startup folder so if you boot android you'll have sound. I also put the skin in from sk8inmonk.
So credits for yozgatg and sk8inmonk.
Only boots android directly from the root of the storage card!
This has an autoboot option in 10 seconds or in 3 seconds.

TROUBLESHOOTING
THE PROBLEM - The linux kernel did not finish booting.
/ failed to mount the sd card. cannot continue
/ bin/sh: can't access tty; job control turned off

SOLUTION -
What I did was download and install the SDFormatter tool and formatted my SD card. I've had formatted my card a lot of times but this tool did the trick.

Hi, how i can Cahnge from Sense to the "normal" today screen? On the first launch of the desire 5 rom i asked... but can i change later again?

i have a noob problem ! .. i can't connect my phone when in android and can't put some app in sd ... the only way is to switch to wm ?

How does this thread have any added value next to the developers-maintained thread in HD2 General?
This is just going to generate a hell of a lot of extra work for the mods and will result in information about the current (beta) builds being scattered over multiple threads..
I'd say: stick with the original thread. There's no new information in this thread. (everything is in the first posts of the developer-thread, possibly linked to the htc-linux wiki).

i do have a few questions here.
1.
if i'm on the 'Android mode' & i happen to send & receive some sms there.
will these sms show up in my 'WM mode'?
like wise for those old sms that are in my 'WM mode', will they show up in the 'Android mode'?
2.
does the desire v5 still have the same data problem where large data cannot get thru?

If you dont want sense then your best of using the froyo build other than that you can go to >settings>manage applications>go down to sense and unistall not sure about re-installing will have a look for you

simple answer no all messages will be saved to witch ever mode you are in at the tym you recive the message

On my device with:
- WM-ROM: Bsb v5
- Radio: 2.10+
- Android ROM: desire v5
- boot the device with the usb plugged. Now the led is ON.
- when android is running, the led is still ON, but appears that is not charging. At this moment i disconnect the usb and re-connect. Now the devices is charging (the battery icon is now "Charging"). The led is ALWAYS ON.
- when the battery is 100% charged i remove the usb cable and restart the device.
- VOILA, battery charged and led OFF.

people were getting stressed at people who needed simple answers over in the developers thread so i made a topic for all noobs and pros alike to get answers no1 will get flamed here for noobish answers and all questions and answers will be put in the f&q section for future ref
this thread will be kept up to date by the minute with all the latest builds and developments.
id say this therad is aimed more at the new users more than the hardcore user

copy latest zimage across and there is no need for any of that as charging works fine no need to have it plugged in on boot and no led

for me data is working fine v5 has limited problems

Yup only way atm is to switch as android is using the sd card so swithc to wm then copy files then boot back to android

This is what i've been waiting for! ive been trying to put this on my hd2 for a week now and cant get it to work, im not very good with this kinda thing, but now I know exactly what to do now! if HD geek is willing to update it then ok

It looks like it's getting stuck at "jumping to kernel.".
Try another kernel.

I have exact the same problem with the FroyoStone Sens V2 and no idea how to pass that.. i let the phone about an hour and noting ... please help us

The kernel is the OS core that's making possible the OS to speak with the hardware. If you don't have the kernel complied for your hardware then the OS will not work with it. It's like an translator between your OS and the Hardware

You can try downloading this and replacing the zImage and modules.

This are the basic steps :
1. Upgrade to a radio version bigger then 2.08 because it will not boot with a lower version.
2. Load a custom ROM on your HTC HD2 ( i use chuck rom's)
3. put the android folder on your SD card an IT WILL WORK.

Instructions
Simply download the kitchen. Extract to your desktop using 7zip. Then Go to Open Project and select the predefined example. You can then simply hit the build button and it will build the rom for you! It is that easy

Sorry at the minute this is an English or WWE language only at the minute. I may be able to get other versions later!

Leave all the windows files. You can then leave all the sense files as well. You can try removing some of the packages you dont want from 01 htc packages, but only remove a couple at a time and see if the rom boots.

But if it is so easy as you say I think I am gonna try, for 2 reasons: 1) i want to get out of all the app I never use like FB, Google maps, bing, twitter, msn, and so many others; 2) i want to put some others apps, specially some personal mods in CHT2.0 (widgets & tweaks)
I still need final push, and read some tutorials ....

It couldn't be easier to start. Download the kitchen, Open the pre-defined project. Simply uncheck any software you dont want! Press build!! Go on try it you know you want to
Then once you are ok with the kitchen, go to my advanced thread download the kitchen and really see what you can do! Even has CHT 2.0 pre configured!

As far as I can tell it should be ok for tmous when used with a tmous radio. If you could confirm and report back that would be brilliant. I dont have a tmous HD2 to test with.

Yup, just simply uncheck the 02 sense 2018 folder and it will cook a pure WM version!

[Q] New kid with very basic competence. Wm6.5 - W7 o2

Hi Guys
My phone is the HTC HD2 o2 UK with WM6.5 Professional, CE OS 5.2.21869
Processor QSD8250B-1GHz, Mem 336.96mb
Manila 2.5.20121429.0
ROM 1.72.206.3(86372)WWE
ROM date 04/15/10
Radio 2.07.51.22_2
Protocol 15.32.50.07U
SD Card mem 16gb
I would very much like a simple process to go from my current set up to WM7 or above if this is possible. If the above info is not essential sorry for wasting space.
I have read a wee bit about moving up, but it all seems mego complicating soz.
My phone has CoPilot on it to, but may not be supported to work on WM7
If anyone can help I would be very grateful

Although it's in Norwegian, you can check out http://selarsen.com/2011/05/windows-phone-7-wp7-pa-hd2/ for a complete guide. Just use the flags on the top-right corner to get a translation in your language.
Otherwise, using the search function is also a good way to start.

1.Your post is irrelevant, you clearly haven't read that he wants to dual boot.
[email protected] the first thing to do is to use the search button in the forums
3.The selected ROM is a NAND ROM and cannot be run via SD card. Go to the SD section.
4.Because of my immense generosity ( ), here's a guide:
Update to the latest stock ROM 3.14
Download an Android SD build and place the Android folder on the root of your SD card
Run CLRCAD then HARET via the file manager
Enjoy Android

how to get clr thingy and haret files.
its says i had 3.14.707 - rom version and 2.5.XX - manila version..?
do i still have to upgrade?
and where to clrd and haret files?

Do you have a brain? LOOK IN THE SD ANDROID SECTION FOR SD ROMS!
And no, no upgrade required in this case.

When you download and add the SD files to you SD card use the file explorer in windows mobile to run clrd and haret

hello guys i need some help, am from Ghana and i have HTC HD2 T Mobile with window mobile OS version 5.2.21913(21913.5.0.9), Manila version 2.5.20181424.0, Rom version 3.14.531.1(04666)WWE, Radio version 2.15.50.14 Protocol version 15.42.50.11U.
