easyiest way to boot is to boot windows then go to a file explorer and run CLRCAD.EXE then run HaRet.exe ALWAYS REMEMBER RUN CLRCAD.EXE FIRST AS THIS GIVES ANDROID SOUND DONT WORRY IF IT DOES NOTHING ITS NOT SUPPOSED TO
YOU MUST BOOT ANDROID THIS WAY WITHIN 30 SECOUNDS OF WINDWOS BOOTING OTHERWISE ANDROID WILL RUN IN TURBO MODE AND BE VERY UNSTABLE.FIXED WITH NEW ZIMAGE

Hi All,
I changed the dual boot cab from yozgatg.
It now puts clrcad.exe to the startup folder so if you boot android you'll have sound. I also put the skin in from sk8inmonk.
So credits for yozgatg and sk8inmonk.
Only boots android directly from the root of the storage card!
This has an autoboot option in 10 seconds or in 3 seconds.

TROUBLESHOOTING
THE PROBLEM - The linux kernel did not finish booting.
/ failed to mount the sd card. cannot continue
/ bin/sh: can't access tty; job control turned off

SOLUTION -
What I did was download and install the SDFormatter tool and formatted my SD card. I've had formatted my card a lot of times but this tool did the trick.

Hi, how i can Cahnge from Sense to the "normal" today screen? On the first launch of the desire 5 rom i asked... but can i change later again?

i have a noob problem ! .. i can't connect my phone when in android and can't put some app in sd ... the only way is to switch to wm ?

How does this thread have any added value next to the developers-maintained thread in HD2 General?
This is just going to generate a hell of a lot of extra work for the mods and will result in information about the current (beta) builds being scattered over multiple threads..
I'd say: stick with the original thread. There's no new information in this thread. (everything is in the first posts of the developer-thread, possibly linked to the htc-linux wiki).

i do have a few questions here.
1.
if i'm on the 'Android mode' & i happen to send & receive some sms there.
will these sms show up in my 'WM mode'?
like wise for those old sms that are in my 'WM mode', will they show up in the 'Android mode'?
2.
does the desire v5 still have the same data problem where large data cannot get thru?

If you dont want sense then your best of using the froyo build other than that you can go to >settings>manage applications>go down to sense and unistall not sure about re-installing will have a look for you

simple answer no all messages will be saved to witch ever mode you are in at the tym you recive the message

On my device with:
- WM-ROM: Bsb v5
- Radio: 2.10+
- Android ROM: desire v5
- boot the device with the usb plugged. Now the led is ON.
- when android is running, the led is still ON, but appears that is not charging. At this moment i disconnect the usb and re-connect. Now the devices is charging (the battery icon is now "Charging"). The led is ALWAYS ON.
- when the battery is 100% charged i remove the usb cable and restart the device.
- VOILA, battery charged and led OFF.

people were getting stressed at people who needed simple answers over in the developers thread so i made a topic for all noobs and pros alike to get answers no1 will get flamed here for noobish answers and all questions and answers will be put in the f&q section for future ref
this thread will be kept up to date by the minute with all the latest builds and developments.
id say this therad is aimed more at the new users more than the hardcore user

copy latest zimage across and there is no need for any of that as charging works fine no need to have it plugged in on boot and no led

Yup only way atm is to switch as android is using the sd card so swithc to wm then copy files then boot back to android

This is what i've been waiting for! ive been trying to put this on my hd2 for a week now and cant get it to work, im not very good with this kinda thing, but now I know exactly what to do now! if HD geek is willing to update it then ok

NOTE: to make a BG, you need the following tools: CFC GUI (latest) and MS paint

- u need to extract \windows\11d4e1ae_manila and change it to ur own BG using whaterer image....the backdrop needs to be croped of a normal 800x480 imange. but the 11d4e1ae_manila is 512x1024. JUST place the backdrop in the upper left most side using MSpaint, save and it back in. else the backdrop might me missed shaped.....to load/unload image, use CFC GUI
- now lets say u want to add the theme to sample5.....
- after applying the bg to the files, remame them to 11d4e1ae_manila5
- copy them to windows dir and apply using the app

When you first got your HD2 did you run one of the stock ROM's for any length of time , i.e a 21891 based ROM? I have been running a 6.5 (21891) for the last few days and kinda got used to the old way and format of the screen. The HD2 was really snappy compared to my Tilt2!
Of course I immediatley flashed your new ROM (and have flashed a few other 6.5.x ROM's) and there is a definite difference in just the quickness of everyday button tapping etc. There seems to be just a bit of lag with your 24001 based ROM.
Do you think that is normal and / or just part of the newer OS? It seems to me that I had one of the quickest ROM's on my Tilt2 that was 24001 based ???

i was on 1.66 for about two days. din know any stkck rom with 218890. everything seemef faster. opera loads in under 1sec
if ur on manila keep in mind yhat it has some modds in with hometabb. but not slow.
mayb my scale is a lil off as i com from slower device. some once may b coulx clear it

Are you planning to use Tom's AutoInstaller? It sure made things a lot easier for me lately For me, the perfect ROM would be empty with tons of CABs to download and autoinstall, but maybe I'm just dreaming there...

?? I think that maybe your confused Ive been running agents ROMS for the better part of the year. for rhodium and now leo. I dont think that any of these builds use Max Manila at all. and Im pretty sure that ALL of them have Cookie mod cooked in. But definately come try after beta testing cuz Agents roms are amazing.Crazy fast and the best battery life ive experienced on any leo ROM.

loving this ROM, thank you. Fast and stable Preferred the 6.5 over the 6.5.X. Not really liking the big softkey buttons.

you need to dl "custom ruu" as well. use search, but some chefs include it with their roms so you might already have it.

if you flash another ROM before use the same "custom.ruu" that came with that ROM

uhm i dowalod the rom installed it correctly and it run up every thign work great except for one thing there no network at alll lik i cant call text anythign no wifi i try to reset it a couple time putting the sim in and out and see if it work but nothign loll no network or anythign is that normal

yes, it's normal for this rom. just go to the phone settings and change the bands to auto, that should fix your problem.

i understand this is due to a conflict with the mail and documents tab. TBH i've never noticed it as a problem. the only fix is to remove the new tabs and i use them far more than i notice the problem.
as its across most roms i'm not looking at resolving this as i consider it to be minor
issue with changing the date via windows settings - use Manila settings instead as this works fine will look to fixing in the future

its using the 2.10 base so it's possible but i would not want to say yes and brick anyones phone. i'm on the EU HD2 so can only advise compatibility with the origional model.

to answer the question, i've been running this build for over a week and no SOD erros so far (fingers crossed it stays that way)
so far i've not found a glitch and we both know from experience there are bound to be some.
as always i'd love feedback cos the one thing that seems to be a given is people use the rom but don't feedback.

i've updated my evirus from the diamond days.
i'm running vista so no issues can't advise any of the others as i'm stuck in my ways.

It looks like it's getting stuck at "jumping to kernel.".
Try another kernel.

I have exact the same problem with the FroyoStone Sens V2 and no idea how to pass that.. i let the phone about an hour and noting ... please help us

The kernel is the OS core that's making possible the OS to speak with the hardware. If you don't have the kernel complied for your hardware then the OS will not work with it. It's like an translator between your OS and the Hardware

You can try downloading this and replacing the zImage and modules.

Hey man it's super simple to make it work
This are the basic steps :
1. Upgrade to a radio version bigger then 2.08 because it will not boot with a lower version.
2. Load a custom ROM on your HTC HD2 ( i use chuck rom's)
3. put the android folder on your SD card an IT WILL WORK.

Since it gets harder and harder to find any resources and files to explore the legendary history of the HTC HD2, i started searching and downloading as much as i could before we miss the last chance of downloading them.
Now here´s the (hopefully) growing up all in one archive
This Archive includes:
[Bootloader] cLK 1.5 Bootloader (last stable version)
[Bootloader] black LK + flash_sboot_v2.zip (for nativeSD + multiboot)
[Tools] HD2 NAND Toolkit
[Tools] HSPL4.exe for unlocking and updating Radio firmware
[Tools] HTC USB Driver
[Windows Mobile 6.5] various STOCK RUU´s
[Windows Mobile 6.5] some untested and to me unknown ROMs
[WIndows Phone 7.x] clean ROM, pdaimatejam, Chevron
[Android] NexusHD2 ROMs GB/ICS/JB/KK
[Android] mac18max´s ROMs CM11/EV7.1 Nougat

Yep just recently got a working HD2 again and i was shocked since almost everything is now forgotten, dead and hard to find any mirrors.
Devs even removed their source code from github.
I´m familiar with building ROMs but without source, there´s no way

I was lucky and "smart" enough to keep all of the roms I downloaded from goo.im before it went under, since the vast majority of HD2 stuff was hosted there.
At some point you may want to make subfolders for either Android NAND or NativeSD roms in the Android directory.

i think ive got HD2 tool kit working ok on 10 -
right click on the instal file - donmt run as admin... go down to "troubleshoot compatibility.." select the win 7 option and let it instal...leave the screen open, run tool kit ok - or at least mine does, then confirm in the troubleshoot AOK

Hi, i guess RUU_Leo_S_HTC_WWE_3.14.405.2_Radio_15.42.50.11U_2.15.50.14_LEO_S_Ship.exe will be the latest non branded RUU you´re looking for.

As someone who still tinkers with his two HD2's (one of them is a full time music player for the car), I appreciate this project very much. It's nice to see the legendary LEO is not forgotten!
So in the spirit of this endeavor I dug into my archives to see what files I had and to organize them a bit. I've also uploaded these files to Mega. Feel free to grab whatever you find useful and roll these items into your "master" archive. In the meantime other forum users are welcome to see if there is anything they might want.
