Just for you to understand, there is no answer to your question. Superman, Iron Man, and God do not have the answer to your question. It's the same question as: "What's the best fruit?"

What exactly is it you knew?
I prefer either Nexus One Froyo build from mccm (v1.0 or v1.5) or the very first Mdeejay eVo Sense build (v1). I find the mccm build to be the smoothest with the stock launcher or the new G2 launcher. The Mdeejay v1 build is the best of them all...with occasional data freezes, though. Outstanding battery if the data and wireless is fully active in WinMo.
I like HyperDroid by Pongster. I'm not a build expert, but I have tried about 4 different builds before deciding to stay with the HyperDroid/Ultimate build.
Seriously, its the ONLY build I've seen that doenst have a premature flash issue, bt issues, data connection issue, touchscreen freeze issues, etc. Every build I have tried has atleast one of those issues.
I'm fairly new to this scene but I learn quick and I was looking for a build that doesnt have issues and was stable. HyperDroid/Ultimate was for me.
It's really a matter of personal preference. Some people can deal with a premature flash, or bt connection issue. At this point, no one build is perfect. I'm having a slight problem with audio through my headphones in HyperDroid/Ultimate, but its a problem I can deal with.
So evaluate what you can and cannot live with in any one build and then ask YOURSELF "What's the Best android rom for hd2".

What is the wm Rom u are using?
I tried hyperdroid and some other build, I have bt issues. Only darkstone's froyostone doesn't give me bt issue although cam flash is premature.
I am using chuckydroid Rom.

well....
tried almost all of them but i must say from my experience either darkstone or mccm, with hastarin r7.2.they pretty good ,reliable and very fast
I shall enlighten all and put this misery to an end!
1) mccm SE 2.5
2) Watermelon
To me the best build so far is phireMOD SkinnyEVO v1.3 (10.7.10), and I'm using the Launcher Pro. It's really a very nice build, and the only thing that doesn't work correctly is the flash, is still premature. I am fan of Mjeeday and Darkstone builds, but after some time of use, or I've a bit of SOD, or when I answer a call, it takes long to listen the other side, etc. With PhireMOD with Launcher Pro, I'm really happy, and the battery drain is very low. And with that rom I don't need to use the setCPU and Juice Defender, because the battery is enough for one entire HARD day, where my data mobile is all the time on, and BT almost. And after 13 hours I still have around 20-25% of battery.
Another thing about this build, the benchmark is really nice, always higher than 1650. And it is a constant, not like the other builds, that you do it now and you got 1300 and after 1 min you got 1700. It is really stable.
Just check it.
Regards
Rui
Please state the wm Rom that you are using.... I think wm Rom play a big part on how good the Android Rom is... mostly is abt the compatibility....

Hi,

You'll have to try them and eventually decide for yourself. That's far better than going by someone else's recommendation.

Yeah, my question (or my intention, rather) was on which are more stable
they are all different for different people. shubcraft 1.5 works for me. may not work for you.
yeah you have the ones with HTC sence, and ones with out,
im using Froyostone at the sec, working very well for me
Yup...I went for the first recommendation - without sense. Looks pretty good, but not for daily use yet
Thanks!
Try hyperdroid. I use it as my daily and have no problems.

Just go for the most recently dated build and work from there.
I can also suggest Bangsters 1.2a as it's Vanilla 2.2 and is pretty responsive and relatively bug free. But like said the easiest if no the most convenient way is to try them all, no build is perfect and each has it's own defects but from what I have seen it can range from user to user.

Yup I would agree here. Even tho my DarkStone build is not one of the newer builds, it runs great, for me at least. I've tried a number of the other builds, but haven't found a real reason for changing from what I've got going. Updating the kernel on a regular basis keeps this build going strong.
Another conditional might be which ones work with HTC Sync. This is an absolute requirement for me personally. I've only tested a few Android builds, but so far only MattC's build works with Sync for me.
Yes I'm a total noob when it comes to this.... And I really don't want to brick my phone, which is the most fully featered 2.2 Version without sense for the HD2. And can somebody please send my an idots guide. PLease PM me deatils. I mean I've done WinMo Phones but nothing like this. Thanks for the Help.
I have long been looking for a good ROM and I can not find if you can recommend a good ROM?
Its all about personal preference, the only way to figure out which rom suit your needs is if you try them out yourself. Just go to the thread rom that you might be interested in and read what people say about it.

MDJ's, and Dandiest's Roms seem to run quite smoothly with the NAND build.
I would definately suggest a nand rom, i just have probs with my rom-zip...
I used MDJ's CyanogenMod 7 v2.6 (22 JAN) for a month.
I'm very happy on it. Fast, Smooth, and stable.
Definitely MDJ's Cyanogenmod 7 2.6 - Its the best NAND for me
I also use MDJs CyanogenMod 7 and I'm very happy with it
If your looking for speed i can recommend Sergio Coredroid 1.3 there is no faster build than this at present.

Well tha completley depends on what you define as "best" and "good" as opinions are subjective and stability differs from user to user and device to device.
Go try some and see which YOU find "good" or the "best" and you will then have your answer
anybody has a really good experience tethering with mdj or dandiest roms?.....trying 2 learn from u guys first to speed things up....so anybody? thanks guys.
Hands down the best rom is the one in my sig. It's crazy fast alot of customizing options. Pretty awesome battery life if you turn off what you don't use.

As pointed out you will get many posts claiming the rom they are using is the absolute best/fastest/most stable etc etc etc, but in reality it's just the absolute best for their needs. There's only one way to find the best rom today for you and that's to try a few out and decide what's BEST for you. Unless you also ask all of your friends which is the best girl to date/marry
If there was such a thing as the 1 best rom, then it would be the only one everyone was using and all other devs would just pack up and move on, but the reality is that each rom has it's group of ardent followers and they feel that rom meets their needs, but which most probably will not be what it is that you need in a rom. That's the reason why these threads are completely pointless as all you get are fanboi's claiming "mine's bigger/better than yours". At the end of the day after 50+ posts you are still none the wiser as to which one is best.
I've been hearing many people complimenting about [MDJ's CyanogenMod 7 v2.6 A2SD+].
I am a total beginner. So, i am just curious about this rom.
What's makes it worth the talk i am thinking? Or are there any rom that is very outstanding as well?
Honestly, I believe it is quite hard to compare.
Anyone care to enlighten?
I would like to know how they differ from each other.
Any form of help is appreciated, even links to guide.
Thanks in advance.

Its all a matter of opinion....hard to answer your question. The way i pick a rom to try out is...
Look for one that was recently updated
Read the first posts from the developer..your looking for changelogs, and whats working and not working.
Remember the date of the last update....go to the end of the thread and read all the way back to the date of the last update. This will let you see problems other users have found. Decide if these problems are related to the build or user error. Most will be user error. If you dont see a lot of complaints or problems with ...gps, data, wifi or phone turns into a blood sucking vampire then flash it and see for yourself. This is the ONLY way to find yhe best rom for you.
Believe it or not every hd2 is different. They all react differently to setups that are exactly the same. Its weird and hard to explain so just believe it.

2.2miui stock via cwm
definately one of the most stable & smooth IMO. ive tried quite a few other ROMs and always end up flashing back to MDJ CM7 2.6 good for daily use

I totally agree with the statement above, and while mdj's rom was "stable" for my particular hd2, so are many other roms, its all about your personal preference i would say get clockwork working and make a few nand backups of roms you like and switch off every few days until you find the one for you, but do as you want man, they are all pretty awesome with unique features, i think mdj's build is slightly outdated due to kernel and system breakthroughs as of late... just my personal opinion though, decide for yourself

For .zip roms, you gotta use CWM to install. a little more confusing at first. But you will know how as you read more. For now, try to get use to flashing NAND.

Sup dude, if you want suggestions you should give us an idea of what you're looking for first.
I'm currently using CM7 HyperDroid which suits me cos it's minimalistic, dark and fast. So if you like those things to, I definitely recommend it. Another good thing about this ROM is that you only need a 150mb CWM partition, which is good for us EU owners.
I've only tried one other ROM and that was UltimateDroid. It's another fast ROM (I'm pretty sure it's based off CM7) which has a lot of theme options. It's got a more stock feeling to it, but if you don't like the default green it's got red, blue etc.
I'd also suggest having a look at the MIUI ROMs too, I haven't tried one yet but they have some interesting features.
Hope this helps man.

I've had no luck with Sense ROMs so far. Not fast enough for the added eye candy. Been a long time CM user and finally tried MIUI yesterday morning. OMG! Within two hours I became a diehard MIUI fanboy. Been hammering it ever since and it's blowing me away. More functionality than CM, same level of zippy performance, but much better eye candy. It have yet to find one thing I don't like and it keeps amazing me as I stumble upon new feature after new feature. I don't think I can go back to any other ROM now.

MIUI needs a 120mb CWM so it's low profile like CM. Both good for EU owners. Unlike that damn 400mb for Sense.

I'm sorry but I really didn't want people's personal preferences on ROM's. When I meant the most optimized Gingerbread ROM, I meant the most optimized ROM. Not talking about features, looks or anything else. Just the smoothest one that runs Gingerbread. I also apologize that I didn't look around the forums enough to find the CM7 port thread. I'm still learning my way around these forums and I have very little knowledge regarding these ROMs and such but I will do my best to look for relevant threads.

I've tried CM7 nightlies and tytung's rom, both have issues last I checked (last week). Tytung build seemed great, but just had the phone app lockup/issue mid-call (perhaps it's fixed by now).
I settled on Tyween's TyphooN CM7 "nightly" build, and have had no issues at all since the install.
