nand is the internal memory on your phone. To put it in terms of your computer it's the internal hdd, where as the sd card is an external hdd..
Does that help?

i have a nother question, you have to unlock ur phone, does and once u install android is WM still on my phone, like can i still use it? because the hero rom doesnty send texts when i use it off my SD card and im afraid it wont send texts when i have it on NAND, then ill b stuck if i cant use WM. And finally does NAND make it ALOT fast cause the hero rom is terribly lagging on SD card
To flash Android on the NAND you have to unlock your phone first, if you have a custom ROM you have already unlocked your phone. If you install Android on the NAND, it will completely remove Windows Mobile, the only way to get WinMo back would be to flash a WinMo ROM.
As for a speed difference, there would not be a huge difference if you have a fast SD card (class 6). If you have a slower card you will see a marked difference in speed.
If you are worried about speed you should try a different build, if you like Hero, jamezelle's sensehero build is probably the fastest, but it isn't nearly as fast or stable as plemen's themed donut builds.
I'd suggest you use the tattoo build posted by vilord. It sends texts just fine. I used it for a while and really liked it.

True, but, vilord's build is too large to flash in it's current state so you will have to run it through Haret.

link please =]? and with every build i use it wont send txt messages, i got one of them to actually now that i think about it, it was the Eclair one, but all others wont
The only builds that have sms issues are the hero based builds. And if fact it does send the text it just reports that it doesn't.
Seeing as you're just starting out in nand, start with DZO's android install package here.
It's a great build.

what is it that is not working right in android for you?
GPS works, bluetooth works(on the right builds), sms, calls, etc..
I have settled for WM6.5.x and Vilord's Tattoo on a class 6 4gb micro sdhc. That way I can flash the newest WM and still play with android. I have used a 2gb with Android and it is definitely slower. Even a Kingston class 4 was noticably slower.

i mean seriously. if you have to post a new thread, like you life depended on it.
for reason's sake, post it in the general forum.
Maybe he thought the search button might hurt.
Would be a good idea to insert a feature that allows you to post only if you have tried the search function
But I'm always astonished how many patience you bring on to tell them people how they should do it
This problem is now fixed in the latest kernel commit, me, Cass67 and Rajko managed to figure out the problem was that /dev/device-mapper was missing due to it not being enabled in kernel.
What this means for you? When you update to the newest kernel, or my next build, you will not need to unmount the SD card any further.
oh, my Lord Dark you come here talk to your slaves.....thanks sir.
Any news or thoughts about camera issue in HD & Z builds, are any chance to solve that, without HTC source Kernel release.
Desire, Nexus and EVO Devices, have too HD, Z ports maybe working together to solve the camera code.
Thanks for you atention my lord.
Great news D! Look forward to your next build! Keep up the great ROMS.

I've just merged the changes in to my kernel and still get the problem using your FroyoStone 3.1 build. So perhaps it's not as simple as updating the kernel?
Either way, not a big deal to do the unmount. I had to do it for XBMC Remote as well.
When I unmount my SD card, I cant access the apk because its in SD card. I cannot copy it to my internal memory either.
unmount, then click install on market, then it'll download the apk again somewhere

UUgghhh..... was this necessary to add a thread like this in the development thread? Builds run different for everyone so you have to try them out yourself. I havent had an SOD in atleast a month so you might be doing something wrong.
My advice is use the search at the top!
Pointless............
Try a new radio, worked for me
Try changing your radio and rom and then use newer android builds...

Well your on T-Mobile to so you can try the setup in my sig. Best setup I've found.
I also get many freezes on TMobile HD2 only if i m using Sandisk 16GB memory card,
Whenever i tried booting android from 2GB Kingston, it boots faster and runs without any SOD
jst it restricts the content capacity :/
I haven't had a SOD in over a month.
Using 2.14 radio and VBN WM rom.
I've used about ten different roms during that time and I've been using various EVO kernels during that time.

YES, I think sigs are important if they want help in the forums. I think sigs should be mandatory... or atleast include the setup with the question.
Signature is not signature anymore, people use it to show off, advertise....
*Update Radio
*Do a Task29
*Read What the Builder say about the build and what Rom he recommends
*while Reading BACKUP your SD Card and Reformat it
*Download the build & Transfer it to your sd card (whatever method you use on how to transfer your file from sd reader or direct connection to phone ALWAYS RESTART YOUR PHONE before running android.
*After first boot Restart your phone again*** (i always do this when i see the lock screen, i dont do the "setup phone" first

WELCOME TO JDMode!!
About the build
As you guys know, I have a JDMS 1.5 build which is working pretty stable and working nice for me. So, I decided to stick with the defrost base and not drop it, instead, I decided to release another stable builds with different bases. I was looking around and came by this rom by AdamG named Oxygen. Then I decided to work on this rom by adding some tweaks and apps to make it stable for HTC Leo users. AdamG also did really good job adding features. Keep in mind, the rom still in beta, more features will be added later on. Read more about the rom here
Features
FM Radio
Stable PPP connection, no need for an rmnet build...(Thanks to latema)
Fast speed build without lagg or sod
Pretty cool theme
Automatic brightness works 100%
LedMeKnow app included to control led notifications..
There is a lot more to list...
Working
Everything is working for me...
Installition and tips
Extract the Android folder (with all files in in) to root of your SD Card. THIS IS IMPORTANT.
- You canot keep your data.img from other roms... Do a clean install please..(You can try if you want but don't come here crying )
- If you already have an Android folder on your SD Card DELETE IT OR RENAME IT, because this version MAY BE INCOMPATIBILE with older releases !!!
- After copyng everything to your SD Card ensure you have at least 600 Mb free space for data store
- After you have done all steps go into Android folder and tap CLRCAD (for working sound), and after that just tap HaRET.
- On first run when there is an black htc logo, just give it time to complete, and wait for the data.img to be created.
- If you get some strange errors, or Android does not work, try to reformat SD card and try everything from the start.
If that does not help, I suggest you to change your rom and radio with my personal ones(Check my siggy!!!)

I haven't tried either of atoore's builds, but I would assume that if you're trying to upgrade from his 1.5 build (different base, kernel, etc) to THIS 1.0 build, you might have a problem.. Try a clean install and see if that makes any difference. Hope this helps
Guys, I got huge problem!
I don't know if this happened to someone but it's very bad.
I am in big trouble with installing games right now, they kill my android, I mean kill really, after installing few best games, which I really want to play, my android drain the battery in 12 hours and even when he have enough battery he crash and after that he do not turn on anymore!
To start use the phone I have to install a backup to original to run it again.
Someone know something about that?
How it is possible and HOW AVOID THIS AND INSTALL ANY GAME?
Help.:crying:

After installation I start installing games and I got problems so I can't confirm right now if I have the same issue with apps too, that will be a massive problem!

I just try to install Absolute System Root Tool and he crashed, immediately and completely.
This never happened with games, I was able to play with few games but when I leaved the phone in standby he crashed by him self.
Where is the problem?
You have a tmo, so forget about the a2sd script.
Which bootloader do you have (clk or magldr) ? and what rom are you using ? and what is your recovery partition.
P.S.: Was it you who installed Android on it or you bought it already installed/let someone do it for you?

Ok, I do not have CLK ot MAGLDR, I downloaded Mdeejay eVo Sense v. 2.3Revolution, kernel Hastarin 7.7, Android 2.2 but they call 2.3 for from last update. I do not use recovery partition because there are not partitions, all is on sd fat32 partition, basicly old stuff, but I like the rom. I put all the package folder (Android) into my sd, the type Android is based on rootfs.img, and I run it from Windows Mobile 6.5 with Android Launcher. First time he boot in 10 minuts because he had to made the fresh data.img of 1024MB. After he boot I reboot 3 times and he working very well, the problem comming when I try to install app or games, fully sure.

Hmmm .. to be honest with you, the last time I used an sd-build was about 2 years ago. I do not know what may cause such an issue. It could be the sd-card's partition since you are unable to "write data" to the "data.img" file. Or it could be a problem with that particular build.
Can you try the same build on a different sd card?
I remember having some problems, and a format of my sd-card usually solved them. (due to leftovers from previous roms) << you can try this one as well.
I am sorry, I am not experienced in sd-roms.

I was thinking exactly about do that, I got now the last Sandisk Micro SDHC 32GB Class 10 and I am unhappy because she don't work well from the first time. The first day I put the OS Android into this card he never turned on. I formatted the card with CMD and the card start working a little bit faster than before but not really well, also Android start working. Today I already paid for Samsung 32GB Class 10.

I try to think about that and I get confused a little bit, if I am unable to "write data" to the "data.img", in this situation if I install ANY app or Games, which issue I will have? An immediate crash, Right?
or the program will be installed wrong and will never work. So why the Games working and also Android still working after installing few games and he crash leater? data.img compromised?
I will be glad if someone will have an answare for that.

Since you are running sd builds(you didn't tell me anything about that) it's you card problem. Try deleting everything from .android secure(you're now losing apps from previous rom) because I think that the new rom is trying to overwrite the old one. I was using sd build but this problem is totally unfamiliar with me.
Anyway, install android on your HD2 on NAND, strongly recommended, or native sd since you mentioned that you have class 10 sd card.
I can give you a great tutorial that I've found on youtube if you want, or search the xda, there are a few good ones.

Sorry, I don't know how to define all the Android build so I get confused. Now I should know, SD Builds are the OS like mine on sd fat32, Native SD are the OS on partition ext4 and they can be installed with MALGRD, ok, and NAND are flashed on ROM. Too many thing for me to learn and also my english is not so good.

AND, when I finally will understud how to have 2 OS on 1 HD2 perhaps I am happy. :fingers-crossed:
Ok, Guys, problem solved, was the microSD!
Yes, the crap Sandisk Class 10 (28mb/s in Read, 15mb/s in Writing) this time let me down, I changed the sd and the Android do not crash anymore and I can install apps and games also.
The battery life,is not so long but this actually can be resolved too, I will try new Androids anyway to find the best set-ups for me.
Thanks for all the support and and tips.
