Well i'v unlocked my htc mytouch 3g
everything works great except for one problem
the diale is being thick
I can receive calls , i can send SMS, i can get SMS
but when i try to dial it rewrites the number from
+370XXXYYZZZ to 370-XXX-YYZZZ , tries dialing it and then it comes up as
"the number you're trying to reach doesn't exist"
has it something to do with the locale ? can i fix it ?

The phone I have is a T-mobile MDA Compact that has been network unlocked.
The problem is that it is unable to make or receive normal calls. The symptoms vary across networks, with vodafone being the most functional. The symptoms are as follows.
----
Tesco Mobile SIM: - no service.
----
T-Mobile SIM: Connects to network and shows a signal, but no call functions work.
----
vodafone SIM (ASDA): Connects to network, shows a signal, can send and receive text messages, can make 999 calls.
Can't make or receive normal calls:
When trying to dial out the display goes from "dialing" to "call ended" and three quiet beeps can be heard, the dialed phone never rings.
If called from BT landline the caller simply hears "Error" and callers from other mobile phones hear a variety of different tones (engaged, beeps etc)
If the phone is switched off, the callers get the usual "the phone you are calling is not available" message.
------
The phone has a CheckMend certificate to show that it is not lost or stolen, and T-Mobile have confirmed that the IMEI is not barred on their network.
-----
While attempting to fix this:
I have reflashed the phone with several ROMs and updated the radio from 1.12 to 1.13, but the original problem remains unchanged.
I Have E-mailed HTC technical support with a description of the problem but as yet have had no reply.
If any one is able to shed any light on this I would be very grateful.
similar problem, but i can send or receive SMS, but when i try to call or answer after cca 10sec it cut the line and show a sign of searching for signal...
flashed new ROM, same problem, chanhge automatic to manual, same...
is it a software or hardware problem, i can try to open and clean a dust (in one service said that could be a problem) which cause a bad contact with internal antenna
hi, did you get this problem sorted? i have the same thing with my spv m700, cant believe its hardware though as all other functions ar great
thanks
HELP!!! I just cant get my xdaII to make or receive calls but the TXT messages work fine. I wondered if it was some kind of lock the imei number NOT blocked the sim NOT locked. Anyone any ideas?????? PLease some one?
I have succefully configured VOIP on my HTC cruise but cannot dial out. it seems that the problems is the phone number format. if i dial for example 555789456 when i press send the phone will automatically reformat the number to (555) 789-456 and i think that the problem comes from the ( ) and the dash - .
does anyone know how can i disable the phone number reformatting ?
Till yesterday, my elf was working fine. But suddenly, my elf has started blocking outgoing and incoming calls. Whenever I make a call, it tried to dial and then show the "Call Ended" message. There's a problem with incoming calls too. When a caller calls my number, he gets the "All lines in this route are busy" message while my elf lights up, gives a single ring and then cuts the call. The call shows up as a missed call. What is the problem?
The funny part is the GPRS/EDGE works fine without any problems. Sync with PC also works fine. While sending a message, sometimes I get a "Message cannot be sent" message. Then resending it (2-3 times) works. Incoming SMS is also working I think.
Note:
1. Call barring is NOT active.
2. No new applications have been installed for the past 3 months.
3. Have never performed a ROM update. It has the default HTC ROM which came with the phone.
4. Shows Full signal strength
Please help as this is causing a lot of problems.

Click to collapse
when you try to call someone , the device automatically adds 011 to the # ?
It's a setting you can enable/disable in the settings. I'm sorry I cant advise you ATM as
I'm not running android,I'm using WinMo, But i remember that it was " Add Country code or prefix to Numbers " or something like this, just disable it .
But others should be able to call you normally, as their phones doesn't add prefix.
Hope others can help you
