JI2 can't get OTA? - Vibrant General

I have JI2 with OCLF.
I uninstalled OCLF, but do I still need to go back to JFD?
If I have to, is there a way to keep all my apps and data?
Thanks.

I had some issues with this when i first flashed JI6. I went ahead and re-rooted (using the RyanZA OCLF from the market, did not apply lagfix, just used the root), and opened all the apps that required superuser access and gave them permissions again. All the chopiness and shutdowns stopped and the phone got smooth again.
Remember this ROM does not delete your data so you have apps that require superuser permissions trying to open and work without root, not going to work.
Just tried that and it didn't work. I tried going back to JI2 from my nandroid restore, and it didn't work. Everything else worked,i had my old wallpaper, but still on JI2

I had this exact problem when I did the JI5 update through Kies. It became really annoying and I went back to nandroid to restore. Of course, I ended up bricking because I didn't know that JI5 is running a different kernel (still learning). Flashed stock through ODIN though and then nandroided my way back to where I was.
But, yes, the problem exists - at least for me it did. Perhaps this is one of the "known issues" tmo referred to.
I have the same problem on stock, but rooted with one click method with clockwork recovery. Its getting real irritating.

Removing Bloatware with Titanium Backup

So I tried uninstalling Bing with TB and it went smoothly. I rebooted the phone after and no issues whatsoever. Google is now the default search engine. I have heard from others that deleting the bloatware can have unpredictable results and maybe not allow firmware update when froyo comes out. I am thinking of uninstalling the bloatware using TB and would like to know if anyone has done this and with what result.

just use the donate version of TB to simply freeze them...this will deactivate them as well as remove them from your apps list so that when it comes time for a OTA update. You simply defrost them and you are good to go.
I was thinking, even if I just uninstall the bloatware, I can always do a factory reset later on to get my phone back to stock. Then I can update to froyo. Will this work??
When you update to froyo it should be in the form of a rom you flash from here. Enjoy your phone and battery life now and freeze all that crap but nothing google.
good day.

If I'm not mistaken doing a factory reset will not un freeze apps in TB but I'd you delete them I don't see why they wouldn't return.

I used TB to back up the apps and system but for some reason it did not back up the bloatware apk's. I ended up using Super Manager. Its got an APK manager app that let's me backup everything, even the bloatware APK's. So now I can reinstall everything when its time to update to froyo.

Issues with the market...

I recently got a new phone, updated to DL09, downgraded to DJ05 but I still have the DL09 modem. And I'm running SuperDark and the Matted BlueBread theme with an OTB 1.3ghz sv kernel. Instead of restoring my apps with Titanium Backup, I restored them from the market because Titanium wasn't attaching all of them to the market. I re-installed all of them and restored data for a few with Titanium. But now, apps are disappearing. They are no longer showing up under My Apps, and if I search for an app, it isn't recognized as being installed. I try updating LP, and it says package not parsed correctly. So I uninstalled it and tried re-installing, and it tells me incompatible update. What the heck is going on here? I have tried using Titanium to force attach them, and it still doesn't work. Should I wipe data and try restoring them again?
Bump. Anyone?
What did you do to down grade to DJ05? Perhaps you inadvertently overwrote your kernel and confused your file system... Unlikely, because your symptoms ought to be more severe.
Beyond that, you could see whether titanium's market doctor can repair anything or hope for a better suggestion. Never run into this one personally.
Swyped w/ XDA App. When in doubt, mumble.

Android market not downloading any apps on DL30 stock bloated

So installed the DL30 leak today, noticed that the market is not downloading any apps, not even updating ones I installed from titanium backup.
Installed the new market app, 2.2.11, same issue. Cleared data, same issue.
markets down
Its not you its them. Markets down according to twitter. Haha I was freaking out too but it'll pass as some report that its already back up. Its not for me (east coast) maybe it has something to do with the weather, or maybe the announcement tomorrow.

my wifes was the same way. I just wiped data and cache through clockwork and reinstalled the leak and everything worked beautifully. If you didn't wipe when you installed this could be your issue. Keep that in mind if the market doesn't work in a bit.
i was wipe wipe wiping my gfs phone and her apps weren't downloading at first still, i wiped again and reinstalled, did this twice, now market downloads, i downloaded titanium, restored all her apps (1 by 1 since i didn't buy the premium on that phone since i dont restore it much), and then tried to update all the apps in market, and bam, no apps are in the My apps section on the market on her phone, it downloads apps but they will not update, i have odin'd the dj05 from di01 modem, then i wiped like 4 or 5 times data in the new red recovery wtf ... i didn't use the old clockwork to do anything froyo related, it should be working flawlessly since i pretty much just odin'd modem, and cwm froyo, then started flashing the froyo stuff from there, i have the Purple Myst theme on her phone and also I have RubikS 0.3 ROM. i'm going to odin the dl09 modem on her phone and see what that does right now. probably nothing for the market but tis worth a shot.

1. This is an old thread that had to do with the market itself being down.
2. After I got DL30 I noticed the same thing that the 'my apps' portion of the market was empty. Waited a few mins and bam they all showed. I guess it took a little while for the market to read what was on my phone. Now its all there and updates as normal.
yeah ok well ther isnt another thread for this issue and i didnt want to make a new one

SuperClean Milestone 1 and Google Latitude

I just installed SuperClean Milestone 1, and am sooo happy to get ride of all the bloat.
The only issue I am having is with Google Latitude. I can't get the Widget to display anything. Things were working fine when I was unrooted stock.
Anyone have any tips they can give me?
Try clearing data and cache from the app, see if that helps. If not, I usually uninstall then download a fresh copy of the app and start from scratch.
