Wouldn't hold your breath. They missed the last release date they gave (6th october) so it would hardly be a surprise if they missed this one too.

The latest is 36 October 2009 NOt 6th or 26th !!

well obviously there is a reason the dates are getting missed. perhaps it isn't perfected yet. Perhaps it has issues they were working out. It'll come.

Official WM6.5 ROM Upgrade for Topaz is already released unofficially. Check the Sticky at the top of the Topaz ROM Development forum.

Well at least it got it's unofficial release on the 26th

just a heads up guys here at sprint were having a "top secret" meeting on the 31st. no one knows what its about, its all kept hush hush. but speculation is its about 4g, and the announcment of dates for evo and maybe nexus one. i have a screen shot sent it over to mobilecrunch.com idk when their going to post it but if you guys want it ill post it.

Hopefully they announce release dates for the Nexus One and Evo 4G...The Nexus One should be release around the same time as the 2.1 upgrade...

Sorry id like to believe you, but since it falls on APRIL FOOLS DAY, i reamain a bit skeptical. Sprint Buzz -1,taking me for a sucker....EPIC F A I L.Not once in my life have i ever rode the short bus, thanks for the effort...

well theres two meetings one on the 31st, and the 1st. sprint always has 2-3 meetings just incase you can't make it to the first one. very much common for sprint our last big meeting i missed the first two meeting because of school, and had to catch the third one.

Sprint CS says the Nexus One is slated for a late Spring release..Whenever that is..LoL..

the N1 will come before the evo, that's a certainty. id say nexus in june and the evo in late summer / early fall.

Isn't Spring, March April or May though....I hope we get it like April or May..They need to release the phones while they are hott and have the buzz..

Call me pessimistic, but 1 date is April 1 and says APRIL FOOLS right on the calendar. Dont surprise me, im not getting worked up till I actually see it.

any idea when this meeting is supposed to happen today?

I think since it's a marketing promotion, it will have to do more with 4G and updates to its plans, rather than new phones. But I wouldn't mind if I was wrong.

HOW do you know it? Speculations!
I am waiting for the oficiella version, (modified roms here now have too many bugs) even if it takes in the autumn
But I am impressed by chef´s which has done a great job for us to test version 2.1

there's more chance of a dual booting iPad running Android 6.4

No sarcasm, I have a friend who's working at a phone house who told me. That's, by the way why I don't trust the other source who's telling everybody 16th of April (and now, like magic, end of april!).
BTW: Is it that bad that newbies wouldn't get it? People are announcing wrong dates almost everyday and my indication gets flagged somehow?

So, the dates for Legend and Desire were very precise, a date for the enhanced experience on Hero was intentionally left open ...

I don't think Gingerbread is going to be shown off at the Summit. When he started his talk he had a Nexus S with him and gave a preview of some chip technology which allows products to be purchased with a phone.
They've moved away from talking about Android and he said Gingerbread is going to be released in the next few weeks.

Wondering if anyone has any info on the new update that Sony has promised for our phones? I know there is 2.3 custom roms but they don't seem to be stable enough for day to day use.

Yes, except in some parts of the world there seems to be 5 quarters in the year.

The reason I asked is because of this:

Fiscal year: Accounting year, individually chosen and internal.
Calendar year: Jan - December, fixed and standard.

I was tripped up on the whole quarter thing too. Fiscal quarters, regular quarters, quarters differ by country, etc.
However, SE released Q1 results which encompassed Jan 1 -> March 31 (as per their press statement). End of Q2 would be June.
