I did a search and nothing came up. I apologize if this is a duplicate post. I'm guessing Samsung posted the release notes for this update somewhere, but I'm having trouble finding them. Anyone know where those might be?

Tried searching but there hasn't been an update on this since end of January.
Picasa fails to synchronize with the Gallery application and therefore does not have access to your online web albums. "Sync is currently experiencing problems. It will be back shortly." is the description given in the Accounts and Sync section of settings on all users phones that suffer from this problem.
Not sure if i'm allowed to link here but i will temporarily -- http://www.google.com/support/forum/p/android/thread?tid=1b2261084660a1d2&hl=en&start=40 -- (and will remove if necessary) to the google forum thread on this but the answers from Google employees are vague and have been for well over the month the issue has been known.
As this wasn't resolved for non US users, does anybody have any updates, work arounds to solve this issue?
Thanks in advance
Did you sign up for a Picasa account After you got you N1? If so, you need to wipe your phone. The phone will sync with Picasa after that. My wife had that issue...and wiping the phone worked.
Hope that's what you were asking about.
Lemme guess, you have an @googlemail.com account rather than an @gmail.com account?
Google are aware of it though, so should get sorted.
EDIT: Which you linked to in your post, d'oh!
Non US user hence googlemail account. wondered if anyone on here had looked into it and found a way / modded the app / created a different version of gallery etc to sync.
Guessing not so far (N)
Surely someone can work around this rather than wait for the update to fix this that might never happen, along with proper non us sat nav (licensing issues, i know but come on already!)
From what I can tell when contacts sync from Google or Facebook all of the information is correct. If you manually add a birthday to a contact then whatever day you select for the birthday will show one day earlier after you enter it! This appears to affect only the birthday, other dates work fine.
I've tested this on the following ROMs:
Fresh 2.0b2
DamageControl v1
DamageControl v1.1b5
DamageControl v2.0r2
I've tested this to be true on five Hero's. Can anyone else confirm as well?
WORK-AROUND
To fix the issue, turn off the Date & Time automatic update
MENU -> SETTINGS -> DATE & TIME Uncheck the Automatic box
General consensus from the information in this thread is that the problem is related to how the contacts application handles birthdays and DST (daylight savings time) rules. If your phone is updating from the network then it's applying DST rules, where as if you turn off the automatic updates it does not apply DST rules. You just have to make sure after if you turn off the automatic updates that your date/time is correct and remember to set it correctly next time DST rolls around.
I'm on DamageControl v1.0, birthday's work fine for me. Odd problem you're having there :/

So if you add a new birthday and save it, it stays as the date you selected?
I can confirm, same issue in mine (Fresh 2.0c), the correct dates stuck after I then updated the birthdays in Google Contacts.
it sends it a day early on all the roms even the stock 1.5. I think it is so you know ahead of the day.
This sounds similar to an issue I've always had with the Google Holidays calendar. If you open the calendar to view a holiday (all-day event) it shows on the correct day. However, if you're using the calendar widget which shows upcoming events, it always shows a day early.
Somehow there's a timezone issue where it starts all-day events before the day starts, say, 11pm the day before. So the widget shows the event a day early.
(and yes, for the record I have verified that both the phone / calendar timezone settings are the same)
I've had this problem with Google for a long time. Even back on my HTC Touch Pro. When I merged all of my contacts from Outlook onto Google, they did this to me. I think it has something to do with the Daylight savings time issue fix that happened a while ago. Somehow it changed all of the birthdays from starting at 12:00am to 11:59pm to 11:00am - 11:59pm, effectively making each birthday start an hour earlier for that day, or on a calendar as 1 day earlier. I could never get it to fix itself, I had to go in and manually delete and re-enter all of the birthdays.

That gave me an idea. I turned off the network time and manually set it instead. When I did that, now I can add birthdays correctly! It must have something to do with DST like you mentioned above.
I think its because its setup as a "meeting" a time to a time, instead of associated with a day/date. DST fixes generally fix the
"meetings" but don't effect items associated with a date, like a holiday.
So I updated the first post with a work-around in case anyone else searches for a fix to this problem. I don't see it as a big deal personally, especially since I don't mess with contacts on my phone. I add details through Gmail then let it sync over which will sync the birthday correctly.
My understanding from Google searches and the replys to this thread is that dates synced over from Google and Facebook are associated as dates, whereas birthdays added through the People application are actually associated as a meeting time encompassing the whole day (so 12:00am to 11:59pm) but because it's not an actual calendar item DST rules are not applying to it hence it still thinks it's an hour ago placing the start time of then event at 11:00pm instead of 12pm and making the date appear as one day earlier.
Does this sound right to everyone?
I am sure most of you have noticed that on 2.1 for the Hero, and probably others, when you add a new event to your calendar via the phone the web version shows the event as an invitation pending acceptance.
This seems to be an issue with the latest ROM.
Are there any of you that have created your own ROM's that have resolved this issue?
I know this seems like a really minor thing but it is still something Google should be getting right.
Since updating to KF3, my personal contact (as in me) in my contacts list no longer seems to be linked to my facebook account. My picture hasn't changed and it doesn't show my status, nor does the facebook icon appear as a linked account.
I also get "service temporarily unavailable" errors when trying to update facebook in social hub.
Oddly enough, my friends' contact pictures seem to be updating properly, as do activities and media. It's just mine. Seems minor, but it's driving me nuts.
I already removed the social hub facebook account and added it back, removed facebook app, cleared data on social hub and contacts, and restarted the phone. It was updating my info fine before the firmware update. Bug?

A couple of us lost IM when we moved to KF3. With 2.3.4 rumored to be out in two weeks(ish) I'm not going to sweat it for now. It sounds like you found some more broken Social Hub stuff in KF3.

ultimately a small sacrifice to make for the better battery life and other improvements, but frustrating none the less.
Same issue here
but not sure about but it started to happen today a few days after the update to the KF3 firmware, I also would like this fixed

Early in the morning I tried and it did not work, after about six hours it starterd working again, I had the same problem that you do, even I posted that I was having the problem, but after several retries it started working. I have the KF3 firmware, oh and I doubt we will be seeing the official 2.3.4 any time soon, , I dont want to flash this new device just yet, and it looks rather complicated. please let us know if you solve the problem, or it was just a samsung outage...

The official update has always come out a couple of weeks after a leak. This time shouldn't be any different.

Well mine just got the errors again, so I dont understand, everything else is working ok
Im getting the problem again today almost all day, has anybody found something about this issue?
Title says it all. I've called Verizon tech support and they claim it's an issue they've had since the last OS update in August? And that it will be fixed with ghe new OS that's coming out? I've been dealing with this since September.
Every time I set a calendar reminder (on the calendar app that came with the phone might I add) it won't pop up on my screen an alert me. This is a serious issue, I LIVE by my calendar. My alarms work but not the calend reminders. I checked the app to make sure pop ups are enabled.
I went so far as to download a calendar app, same exact issue.
Thoughts?
