androidscreencast help

hi again. I am a mac osx user and I was trying to install androidscreencast following the steps from http://code.google.com/p/androidscreencast/ , but it doesn't worked for me. can somebody to give some more details? I got this message...

At which step did you get this message? What happens if you click on the "Details" button from your picture?
Perhaps you need Java Web Start.

this error happens to me as well, before running the screencast. You need to make sure "daemon" is running (what ever that is) by simply running an adb command, such as "adb devices"

[Q] Ubuntu or Windows ond CM7?

Hey guys, i wanted to ask if anyone had managed to install windows or ubuntu images on our Defy with CM7 running on it.
If yes can u help me telling me the steps so i can make it too?

i heard that someone run Ubuntu on his phone, but it's very difficult to use it, because of touchscreen interface. I think that running windows is impossible on this phone, except some WP7 mods i would suggest staying on Android

Yep, I have run Ubuntu. It is basically run by mounting an ubuntu image to a loop device mount point. And the GUI is accessed using vnc. Dunno about windows!

You can also try out windows..bt its just windows 95 desktop version..
And pretty easy to achieve

[Q] Problem installing Linux on Iconia (/dev/mmcblk0p7)

13/01 I was trying to install ubuntu on my Iconia, after updated my bootloader to V8 again. The first problem I had is that most of the files are offline now and I can't try all the options that users oferes.
I want to make it work without external-SD, 'cause I haven't got one now. I used this post to install it, but i get several problems when it is running.
There're some pictures of the error code, if someone can help me to enjoy Linux (Ubuntu if it's possible) on my Iconia I will be eternally thankful!

[Q] Rooting A500 from Mac OS X

I recently picked up an A500 and it's now running ICS 4.0.3. I would like to update to JellyBean but apparently need to root the device to do that.
I got the Mac OS X version of adb but it doesn't see the device when I attach it by USB cable.
I found a video that mentioned needing a "driver" but the link for Mac is "down for maintenance".
Suggestions, pointers, etc appreciated.
(Please don't suggest Android File Transfer. a) it doesn't work; I've tried it. b) unless there's some magic way for that to root the phone I don;t think it will help.)

Has anyone been able to get dex working with MAC OSX?

I have never been able to get the device connected to dex application running on mac osx big sur. If someone is able to, could you please post the steps.
