Will 1 dead pixel be covered by warranty?

had my hd2 since launch and loving it, i have however just noticed a dead pixel on the right hand side of my screen. whats the chances of this being covered by warranty?
HTC in the UK state that 10 dead pixels gets you a new handset. They also told me, when I asked them about my 1 dead pixel, that this is a progressive issue and it would eventually get worse and reach the 10 pixel limit. It might be worth you asking HTC support so if we can see if this is a consistant policy.
Regards.
ํI don't think so. Anyway, you should ask your local HTC support.
And...did it get any worse?
I noticed one dead pixel on mine to...its very tiny and can be seen only on 80% or more light off display.
So, can number of dead pixels rise?
weird, I obtained a DOA from HP when I noticed a couple of misbehaving pixels on my ipaq 214...
Since we're talking about a top-notch device for today's standards, where the display is the main attraction, I simply cannot imagine how a single dead pixel shouldn't be covered...
If LCD TVs/monitors are anything to go by dead pixels aren't uncommon and a single dead pixel is something you just have to live with. As cMMY69 said, you need a cluster to qualify for a replacement.
From my experience, dead pixels don't multiply (not to deny that they don't multiply), I had one on my old 22" LG monitor and it drove me up the wall as it was dead center in the middle of the screen.
Mine is very very tiny and smaal... left-down in the corner of LCD...very hard too see. Only when the backlight is 80% or more i visible...and only if you look very close. Its not a big deal, just wanna know that it can't spread all over LCD 1--3 is ok...more it will get me angry
No more dead pixels for me but I'm always drawn to it as YouTube videos appear to have all been designed to display white images where they show up my dead pixel
No...they will not cover it. I had 1 dead pixel on my MT3G in the lower left corner of the screen. I usually check for these things before I even leave the store but at the time I did not even notice it.
They told me that it had to be "obstructive" before they can swap it out
I had the phone since launch day of the MT3G and as of Wednesday it had never spread. No one else using the phone ever noticed...but it is frustrating when you know its there, my eye was always drawn to it.
...My HD2 screen is perfect, the sales rep was really cool and evened opened the box before he scanned it so I could inspect the screen for flaws

hd2 dead pixels!!

is anyone else having dead pixel problems??
i just recieved a replacement for a dead pixel one got another phone with a dead pixel??
anyone ever look closely to the screen??
and no i dont mean the digitizer dots on the screen
No dead pixels here.
I have one dead pixel at the bottom left of my screen, but I've learned from experience that unless its dead at the center of the screen, a replacement will most likely have a dead pixels too(probably in a more inconvenient area). Its not worth the time explaining to T-Mobile that you need a new phone because one pixel does not work.
just call tmobile and theyre sending me my replacement yay
they said that it would be brand new so another yaay

Wifi on my tablet is perfect. Works throughout whole house. And as for pixels, that was probably not a very common problem. Probably your specific device. I'm sure you won't have the pixel problem again, as for wifi, I kind of doubt it.
Sent from my A500 using XDA Premium App
I'd exchange it, and if you get another bad one, exchange it too. It can't be a common issue. As far as wifi goes, I was unaware there was an issue. Mine works great. Picks up better than my Gtab, or at least seems to.
My first one had a green stuck pixel and two bright pixels. I exchanged it and the new one has no dead pixels (but does have the small light bleed on the right)
Just went to best buy exchanged other one ..charged turned on ..bang..1 dead pixel right there almost in center look at me..ha..what luck.. not sure wanna do another trip again since its only 1 pixel ..damn .. r u guys did any dead pixel test for ur tablet? is this common ? or i just had bad luck..
one dead pixel exchanged and all is well

[Q] dead pixel on screen?

has anyone checked the screen and found dead pixel? im trying to buy galaxy tab 7.7 but worried about the quality of screen.
hi,
mine had 1 red pixel and claimed with out problem.
Sent from my GT-P6800 using xda premium.
I have a "burn in screen" problem at the status bar position and I think it is common problem for amoled screens
I have had no screen issues whatsoever.
I had a stuck red pixel on my first one. Promptly replaced it with a new flawless one.
It would seem there can be imperfect screens being released.
No screen issues here...
i haven't found dead pixel
other than me scratching my screen on it 1st fall, I have not problem with it.
i actually love the picture quality

Did you get answer. I also have one dead/stuck pixel on my screen, so i also like to know does warranty covers this.
By the way, does anyone know any brand with an acceptable quality control? I have tried almost everyone and each time I buy a new phone I am made to do a lot of RMAs until I find the right one. Dead pixel is the problem I find most commonly. Even a brand new S9+ I have just bough has got several dead pixels together.
